Boba Fett Motorcycle is Perfect for Jumping Sarlacc Pits

Forget Fett’s Vette. Fett’s bike is much cooler. Imagine if Boba Fett had had a bike instead of Slave One. I’m not sure where he would have stored Han Solo in frozen in carbonite, but otherwise I would have loved to see that movie. Maybe he could have used a sidecar.

This awesome ride was built by Star Wars fan Tattoodle. It’s a Boba Fett-inspired BMW motorcycle, complete with matching helmet! Of course it has a Star Wars themed Garmin GPS unit on board too in order to track down bounty.

Lucasfilm really ought to team up with some motorcycle companies and offer up some cool rides like this. They would sell like crazy. After all, some of us geeks are actually tough enough to ride a motorcycle.

Hydraulic Steampunk Crossbow Not Actually Hydraulic, Still Awesome

If you need a new piece of steampunk weaponry, check this out. It’s an awesome streampunk Nerf crossbow made by Gabe Genway. The next time you organize a victorian big game hunt take note. If you make one half as good as Gabe, you will be the steampunk king.

Sadly, it has already been bought from Gabe’s Etsy store, but he has some other fine assorted steampunk pistols and grenades for gentlemen to lob at each other. Just like on this crossbow, the details are really nice on all of his pieces.

I know one thing for sure, if he ever offers up another crossbow like this one, it will be gone very quickly.

Razer’s customizable fight stick returns to TGS for final beta, is still nameless (video)

Razer's customizable fight stick returns to TGS for final beta, is still nameless video

Remember that disassembly friendly, unnamed Xbox 360 arcade stick Razer trotted out at TGS last year? It’s back, and while it hasn’t gained any traction in the moniker category, it’s received a few notable hardware tweaks. Razer’s TGS team told us the stick has been through a total of thirteen revisions since it entered closed beta last year, and is now entering its final beta before production. Leveraging feedback from over 200 enthusiasts, Razer has made a number of tweaks to the controller, including alternative joystick tops, an included miniature screwdriver and a honeycomb screw-mount bottom so modders can install custom PCBs.

The new unit also wears an acrylic cover, allowing perspective buyers to swap Razer’s default artwork for a custom inlay. Just like last year, this unit features Sanwa Denshi components — but picky players will be able to swap them out for their preferred parts without fear of voiding their warranty. Razer couldn’t tell us how long the final beta phase would last, and only said that the stick would be released once it was “perfect.” Our host did hazard a guess, however, that it would be out by early next year. Want to see more? Relive our TGS booth visit after the break.

One charge you could never level at Skullcandy is that its headphones are drab. But, if you were still thinking that the designs just aren’t, well, jazzy enough, perhaps the new Edit service is for you. Super Mario Hungry Hungry Hippos: Get the Most Marbles with Your Koopa

We don’t have nearly enough Super Mario inspired board games and this one is a work of sheer genius, turning Hungry Hungry Hippos into an amazing Koopa battle where you eat everything that you can.

This awesome game is the work of crafter KodyKoala, who spent about 50 hours modifying a standard Hungry Hungry Hippos game into a work of video game art. All I know is if Mario found himself in this Koopa-filled arena, he surely would be dead.

Each Koopa model took about 10 hours to complete and if you absolutely have to own it, the game will be going up for sale at the El Paso Comic Con on September 14th. The detail is amazing. So, who wants to buy it?

Handmade Doctor Who Chess Set: Weeping Angel Jumps TARDIS

I love Doctor Who, but I suck at chess. Even so, I want to buy this set just because it looks so amazing. However, I lack the financial resources to spend almost $1000 on a chess set, so I am just going to have to admire it from afar.

It’s not just made to be looked at. It’s made for playing. The wooden chess board wasn’t made from scratch. It was modified to look more Who-like. One cool feature is that it folds in half to hold all the pieces safely. Each piece is handmade using polymer clay, and the pieces are split into a good side and a bad side. Of course, The Doctor, River Song, Amy, Amelia and some TARDISes are on the good team, while The Dreamlord, Madam Kovarian, the headless monks and weeping angels are some the the bad guys. Just look at the detail in these pieces. Clearly, a lot of time went into creating this set.

If you want it, you better get it while you can. Priced at $949 (USD), it’s one-of-a-kind and the seller, Dutch artist Emmi Viser won’t be making another set. Check out more details on the set here.

Aquarium Bed Lets you Sleep with the Fishes Every Night

Some fish lovers go all out with some pretty elaborate aquariums, but what if you never ever want to be apart from your fish. Well, you can always sleep with the fishes, and this aquarium bed is a pretty neat way to do that.

aquarium bedThis 650 gallon fish tank that rests just above your head while you sleep. Is that comforting or not? I personally would never trust any 650 gallon tank above me ever, but that’s just me. This amazing tank was created by Acrylic Tank Manufacturing for Jamestown, North Carolina’s Furnitureland South and was featured on an episode of Animal Planet’s Tanked.

If you want one like this, it will cost you about $12,000 for the privilege of sleeping under this thing, but if you really love fish it is probably well worth it. You might finally find Nemo even.

Samsung sends Canadian a truly unique Galaxy S III, guarantees a loyal customer

Samsung sends Canadian a truly unique Galaxy S III, guarantees a loyal customer

And you thought your future brown Galaxy S III would be special. We’re just learning the full story of how avid fan Shane Bennett got what may be the rarest version of Samsung’s flagship phone through an unusual chain of events. After half-jokingly asking Samsung Canada for a free phone with the drawing of a dragon as a token gift, Shane was given a kangaroo drawing as a response; the overwhelming reaction to his posting that story on Reddit led to not just a thank-you trip to a Galaxy S III launch party but a custom phone designed around his off-hand doodle. We’re not kidding when we mean custom, either. Along with the distinctive front and back, his phone came with matching on-screen wallpaper and even a specially wrapped box. The likelihood of anyone else receiving a similar gesture is slim — who’d want to spoil the originality? — but credit has to go to community manager Drew Bomhof for going the extra distance and acknowledging that even a giant phone maker is only as strong as its individual customers.

Batwing R/C Plane: The Dark Flight Rises

R/C toys are fun. Whether it’s driving, flying or navigating the the waterways, it’s all good. It’s even cooler if you are capable of customizing your R/C craft. R/C hobbyist Chris Allen knows a thing or two about that, having built this awesome 70MM EDF JET powered Batwing from scratch.

rc batwing toy
It not only looks awesome, it also really flies and flies fast too while flipping around in the air. Chris has been building and designing R/C planes for the past 10 years and right now he is into scratch-building anything to do with Batman. My kind of builder.

Now he just needs to build a Joker plane and take the fight to the skies for the ultimate flying duel. Make sure you watch the videos. This thing is amazing in flight. I’m sure would have your Batman action figure pulling massive Gs in the cockpit.
