Here’s a tiny kitten so happy to eat that he wiggles his ears out of pure enjoyment—or something—like Gizmo the mogwai. Apparently, animals moving their ears when they feel pleasure is a thing.
SunViewer posted this amazing photo by Vladimir Scheglov, taken on January 19 at the Kupol mine in the Chukotka region of Russia, just after a Coronal Mass Ejection hit Earth to produce some beautiful northern lights. He’s like "whatevs, I will just chillax and look cute here."
Here’s an adorably clever animation about famous movie characters called Cinematics by Pier Paolo. How many of these classic movies and characters do you recognize? It’s fun to see famous films animated like this, you’re staring at Charlie Chaplin and eventually it becomes Freddy Kreuger and you’re wondering just how the hell did you get here.
Few legal substances are as addicting and therapeutic as popping bubble wrap. It’s catnip, eucalyptus leaves, coca leaves, maple syrup, honey and coconut water combined into a transparent, air filled plastic sheet. Humans lose hours to get the quick fix of popping every last air bubble. It turns out animals, like this raccoon, do the same. I think seeing this video makes me hate raccoons a little less.
Don’t tell Mom! Actually tell Mom because her daughter is so dang adorable that she should be proud that her little girl has so much joy in her. Jamie P. took his daughter out in his 1000bhp Nissan GT-R and fulfills his daughter’s request to drive faster to hilariously delightful results. She’s the best. Even though she covers her eyes for half of it, she’s having the time of her life!
The Arthur Suit of Armor is the cutest, most adorable egg cup ever. I think the name and image speak for itself, really. This little guy is a fun way to give kids their eggs every morning.
Arthur is essentially a suit of armor (that’s not really made from steel or iron, obviously) that encases your hard or soft-boiled egg in a sturdy egg cup. It comes with a helmet cover and a sword-slash-spoon on the side. Now this how you serve eggs in style.
The Arthur Egg Cup is available from Anima Causa for $13.99(USD).

Here’s something that’ll make you feel good on a day you wish was still the weekend: a 16-month old kid watches Superman take his first flight in Man of Steel and adorably (and appropriately) cheers him on. It’s just pure happiness. You can see the wonder in his eyes, the excitement in his clap and the mirroring joy when his arms are raised. We were once you kid. If only we still were!
Boy, this kid is fearless. Actually, I’m not sure Kahlei Stone-Kelly from Australia is even old enough to be called a kid. He’s just a baby. A two-year-old toddler in diapers who’s already better at skateboarding that many full grown human adults. Just look at him go and display excellent balance, a little bit of trickery and a whole ‘lotta cool as he glides on that board.
From BBC’s Penguin – Sky in the Huddle, comes this adorable footage taken by John Dowder of a bird of prey, the Striated Caracara, stealing a hidden camera inside a Penguin egg and taking it for a fly to film an entire Penguin colony. The bird made sure to get the camera angle just right to capture the massive amounts of happy feet dancers.
Let’s end the year on a happy note. And happiness is this photo series by photographer Lara Jo Regan. Called Dogs in Cars, it’s photo after photo of well, dogs sticking their heads out of moving cars. Is there anything in the world more joyful than seeing that? I don’t think so.
