Vintage Campers Make Happy Campers out of Every Bird

These days, the conventional and traditional birdhouse might not be enough for our avian friends who want their homes to get an upgrade.

Wood-worker Jumahl was happy to oblige and he designed what looks to be a vintage camper for birds.

Bird CampersDon’t they look grand? They’re not just for aesthetics either, because the miniature aluminum door also acts as a deterrent to squirrels. They’re available in a variety of colors, but it looks like bird lovers have snatched up most of them, leaving only the turquoise ones in stock.

The vintage camper bird houses feature a slide out bottom for easy cleaning and they’re constructed from durable and stable marine grade plywood so they’ll last longer in the great outdoors.

They’re priced at $60(USD) and are available from  Jumahl’s Etsy shop.

Cardboard Kitten Tank: Let the Hairballs Fly!

Cats are cute. Maybe the cutest thing ever. They are even cuter when they are piloting cardboard military vehicles like this one. You can call it the Meow 1 Abrams if you want. Or the Kitty Panzer.
kitten tank
This kitty in his cardboard vehicle of destruction will lay waste to all other cute cat videos and pictures. At least until someone turns the vacuum cleaner on. Then it’s time to didi mao and head for cover under a bed or a couch.

And what you don’t see in the pic is that there’s another kitty hiding in the box, a gunner who shoots hairballs with amazing accuracy as he meows furiously.

(P.S. If you don’t happen to have the cardboard boxes and paper tubes lying around to make one of these for yourself, you can always pick up Suck UK’s version, but it just doesn’t quite have the same charm.)

Cyclops Case Dresses Up Your iPad in (Almost) Self-Cleaning and Furry Garb

Here’s another iPad case that you can add to your growing collection (that most likely already includes the French Cover and the Moshi iGlaze iPad VersaCover): the Cyclops iPad case. It basically plays up the iPad’s design, since the ‘eye’ of Cyclops in this case is your iPad’s camera.

Cyclops iPad CaseThese cases are perfect for people who love everything furry and for those who use their tablets at home (since given their furry nature, it probably wouldn’t be the smartest thing to do to take it to the great outdoors and expose it to the elements.)

What makes the Cyclops case so different, though, are its arms. Not that you haven’t seen arms on cases before, but they aren’t just there for show or for decoration.

They’re actually made of microfiber material, so you can use them to wipe your screen and get rid of annoying smudges and finger marks.

The Cyclops iPad Case is available online from Accessory Geeks for $34.99 (USD).

Etch-a-Sketch Belt Buckle Lets You Draw Something at Waist Height

The Etch-a-Sketch reminds me of the days when I was a kid and didn’t have the day-to-day worries that I have right now (like how I’m going to find time to write two papers for this class I’m taking when I have to work for the most part of the day, among others.)

So when I saw this Playtime Belt Buckle on Etsy (aka the Etch-a-Sketch Belt Buckle), let me say I did more than just do a double take.

Etch a Sketch Belt Buckle
While I’m not in the market for a new buckle, you might be.

As its name obviously suggests, you can now wear a miniature and fully functional Etch-a-Sketch around your waist. It might be hard to draw stuff while you’re wearing it and it might be weird if someone else were using it to draw stuff while it’s around your waist, but hey, it’s still a pretty cool and funky belt buckle.

The Playtime Belt Buckle is available from iFind Industries’ Etsy shop for $80 (USD). Of course with a hot glue gun and one of these, you could DIY one for a whole lot less money.

The Walking Dead Infects Disney Princesses

Warning: Before scrolling down, we recommend that you move to a place where there are no kids (both young and old) nearby, because the consequences and ramifications might be serious.

If you grew up reading fairy tales and watching Disney’s cartoons, then you know that they’ll usually end in happily ever after. But what if they somehow got bitten by one of the undead from The Walking Dead?

Disney ZombiesI don’t think the zombies would spare the princesses if Disney ever got hit by a zombie apocalypse. And to show everyone what would become of Ariel, Snow White, and Cinderella, artist extraordinaire Witit Karpkraikaew drew up these eerie images of the undead princesses.

As you can see above, the skin is just melting from Ariel’s frame. And here’s Snow White, looking not-so-white or pure with brains instead of an apple.

Disney Zombies2

Cinderella is the darkest of the three, as she wields an ax and is chewing on her otherwise missing glass slipper for a quick snack.

Witit’s DeviantArt page has been hit with comments and requests for more zombie princesses. I personally would love to see a zombie Belle, from Beauty and the Beast.
