These awesomely geeky Doctor Who cupcakes come from the fine folks at Cupcaketeer.com. They made these tasty treats for the 40th birthday of a friend. It’s friends like this that keep dentists in Porsches and yachts. But who cares, I would eat every last one of them and wash them down with the juice of a thousand Jelly Babies.


There are all 11 Doctors, the TARDIS, the Master, Davros and of course a Dalek. Hey, cupcake guy! Will you be my friend and make me all kinds of awesome cupcakes for my birthday? I thought not. I will just have to enjoy them from afar.

If there’s one word you don’t usually picture when you think about Daleks, it’s “cute”. But these plush Daleks are the cutest Daleks I’ve ever laid eyes on.

They’re made by crafter Fassbaby out of 100% acrylic baby yarn (sounds cruel),  stuffed with fiber fill, and are safe for infants who don’t know how evil a these cyborgs can truly be. They come in a variety of soft and soothing colors, and are just the thing to keep future Time Lords on their toes. Also, these are the only Daleks I know with jingly-jangly, timey-wimey bells inside of them.

You can find the Dalek plushies over on Etsy for $18 to $25(USD) each, depending on size. Grab ‘em up before Davros rises from the ashes of the Crucible, and commands them to exterminate us all.

Doctor Who seems to be in the midst of a major renaissance of late. I can’t go a day lately without coming across some sort of awesome Doctor Who inspired craft, like this Dalek purse.

This strikingly accurate and detailed Dalek handbag was made by Krukru Studio (who also happens to make a TARDIS bag.) The handmade felt bag measures about 13.8″ tall, 9.4″ wide at the bottom, and 4.7″ wide at the top. While its odd shape and size isn’t exactly the most practical for carrying lots of stuff around, it should work pretty well for toting around  your wallet, a couple of lipsticks, and your Sonic Screwdriver.

So the latest season of Doctor Who kicked off last week with a Dalek episode. And if you saw it, you already know that this episode breaths new life into the Daleks and takes them from being a silly overused villain to making them multi-dimensional bad guys. Well, I can’t think of a better time to buy oneself a Dalek hat.

This neat Dalek hat comes from Nerdy Needles Knitting who makes many knitted Dalek hats in a variety of colors. The real Daleks now come in a plethora of colors after all. (They also offer TARDIS hats if you’re rooting for the good guys.)

If you are in the market for some nerdy pillows – specifically of the Doctor Who variety – here are some great designs from Etsy seller FourEyesHandmade. This Dalek pillow is my favorite of the bunch – with a bit of a minimalist design.


If you have to exterminate wakefulness, just rest your head on this one for $32(USD) and dream sweet dreams of killing the Doctor’s most feared enemies. There’s also a sweet TARDIS pillow for the same price, though it would be cooler if it were actually shaped like a TARDIS.

My second favorite is this Cybermen pillow, also for $32(USD). This one looks like it is based on the modern Cybermen, not the classic version.
