Dead Trigger early adopters on Android to get a treat with next update

Dead Trigger newsMadfinger Games pushed out a new update for Dead Trigger yesterday fixing a lot of problems: in-app purchases, not working controls, easier enemies on higher ranks, crashes in the menu when there were too many missions available, booster ammo supply not working properly, revive kit, aiming at crawling enemies, shop items, damage caused by mines, exploding barrels not injuring enemies, enemy AI and more. But it looks like they will also be addressing the backlash they faced after turning the game from a paid app to free to play.

The folks at Phandroid spotted an interesting post in the game’s news bulletin saying  ”Here is a good news for everybody who bought DEAD TRIGGER. Wait for the next update, you will be rewarded! Wondering what? We will keep it secret for now…” Since a lot of people felt ripped off after paying $0.99 before the game became free, it looks like they will be compensated with something. In game currency? A new weapon? We can only guess. But for now you can grab the latest version of Dead Trigger on the Google Play Store.

This Is Why Android Can’t Have Nice Things [Android]

Madfinger games explains why Dead Trigger on Android is free to play

Dead TriggerLast week, Madfinger Games pushed out a massive update for Dead Trigger on Android and at the same time made it free to play. Well, while a lot of people were happy about the change, there was also an unhappy group of customers – those who forked out $0.99 for the game before it was free to play. According to announcement on Facebook, Madfinger didn’t do it to spite those who paid for the game. Apparently the piracy rate of the game was “unbelievably high” on Android even if the game was less than a dollar. So to combat piracy, they decided to make the whole game free to play instead.

And in case you were wondering, Dead Trigger isn’t a freemium app and it’s not gimped in any way. It’s possible to complete the game without spending a single cent – it’s just going to be much harder and will probably take up much more of your time (which is what we want from a game right?). For those of you who haven’t checked it out yet, it’s available for free now on the Google Play Store and $0.99 on the Apple App Store.
