Hasta La Gadget!

I am not a spy, and I’ve never wanted to be one. If I was going to be a spy, I’d be in the Get Smart universe. Maybe Inspector Gadget. I could definitely be Eddie Murphy’s I-Spy sidekick. In real life, however, I have no reason to want or need a system for surveillance. I just don’t understand what I could possibly look at. And no one has any reason to spy on me. My life isn’t that exciting or terribly secretive. I’ve never been to Russia or toured the CIA facilities, although I did do my post-boot camp basic training at Ft. Thankfully, I’ve never even been arrested, and I’ve never been on the run from the cops. Even so, there’s something thrilling about watching police chase a car on TV. Of course we all remember watching the cops speed after O.J. Simpson in his white Bronco back in in 1994. And none of us (hopefully) will ever be in that boat. Can I tell you my favorite thing about the current Spider-Man franchise? Bruce Campbell. I’m assuming it’s because Sam Raimi directed the movies that he’s associated with it at all, but I love Campbell’s narration in the video games. I know he’s in each of the movies briefly, too, but his voiceovers in the game are great. Apparently, despite the franchise’s reboot, he’s still doing some voice over work in the new game, too. That’s exciting. Of course, if you’re less of a video game person and more of a “dress up like Spider-Man during off hours” person, you’re probably more interested in this deal.
