This Eton American Red Cross Emergency Radio Is Your Life-Saving Emergency Broadcast Deal of the Day [Dealzmodo]

Quick, before the power goes out, buy this $10 Eton American Red Cross Emergency Radio, and tune in to hear news of the apocalypse. More »

This Mega Rig Shark And Ship Set Is Your Because-Children-Love-Sharks Deal of the Day [Dealzmodo]

Hey kiddies! Are you enjoying your summertime? The sun, the games, the school break, the pool… Ah, it’s a good time to be a kid! So how about a new toy? Everyone loves toys! And this $27 Mega Rig Shark Ship Set (regularly $60) comes with an evil-looking shark with glowing red eyes and jaws ready to clamp down on your leg! There’s also a ship—an oddly modern ship with harpoons, cranes and apparently an air control tower. For the non-existent flight deck. In case you want to call in an air strike on the shark. It does float, though. So that’s pretty cool. And the ship can apparently be made into other vehicles if you want. But the shark, the shark stays the same—terrifying and perfect. More »

This 24-inch LG LCD Monitor Is Your LG’s-Logo-Looks-Like-Pac-Man Deal of the Day [Dealzmodo]

My desktop computer is one I put together myself back in 2008. I was stationed in Greece and I didn’t really have much else to do. I haven’t updated it much since then, and it’s definitely due, but I like it. The thing I really liked about it was how cheap it ended up being. I didn’t pay as much as I was expecting to and because of that I splurged a little extra on the monitor. I already had a monitor I was going to use but it was small and old. The thought of getting a 24″ monitor seemed ridiculous! I was very excited. There was an obvious jump in price between even a 23″ and a 24″ then, so I think most people with my money would just settle. That one inch felt like all the power in the world. Hopefully for someone out there, this 24″ LG LCD Monitor can offer the same level of excitement. More »

This LED Matrix Watch Is Your Complicated-Math-Bling Deal of the Day [Dealzmodo]

I do not wear a watch. I spend my entire day around computers and iPhones and Xboxes. Everything tells me the time and usually in a way that doesn’t require me to correct it. So, I don’t bother to wear a watch. I’m not much of one for jewelry either. More »

This Upside-Down Helicopter Is Your Don’t-Tell-Me-How-To-Fly Deal of the Day [Dealzmodo]

Remote-controlled flying machines really seem to be all the rage these days! I mean, don’t get me wrong… they’re awesome! But is it possible this is already a saturated market? The machines really have a broad appeal! Kids, adults, weird adults, the military. Everyone wants to get in on this action! So I suppose if you’re going to create a flying machine, you might as well create one that can fly upside down! That’ll work as a gimmick, right? Sure it will if you add a little discount incentive to top it off! More »

This Lego Republic Frigate Is Your Saving-The-Republic-One-Minifig-Transport-At-A-Time Deal Of The Day [Dealzmodo]

There’s a lot of Lego love at Gizmodo. There’s a lot of Star Wars love here, too. And when the two things come together, we can’t help but rejoice. I think Star Wars Lego is one of the smartest and coolest things Lego has ever done. Sure beats the Space Shuttle and Wild West fort I had when I was a kid. Although, it definitely doesn’t beat the minifig cowboy astronauts. Honestly, can anything really? I’m very impressed with Legos these days. They’ve stepped up their game with amazing things, but sadly I don’t actually own any Legos. The Star Wars Republic Frigate might be the nerdy cousin of awesome Star Wars ships, but this version is 30% off, so maybe it’s still a place to start. More »

This Portal Gun Replica Is Your Do-What-You-Must-Because-You-Can Deal of the Day [Dealzmodo]

After the decline of Age of Empires 2 and the release of Microsoft’s Xbox, I gave up on PC Gaming for the most part. The one company that could keep me crawling back without disappointing me was Valve. And then when The Orange Box came out… Valve on a console! Well, that’s just the single greatest idea anyone has had since renaming Jumpman. Or so I thought… cause buried inside that box that let me replay all my favorite Half-Life 2 moments was another slice of heaven. My friends didn’t believe me when I told them how crazy and new Portal was. It looked like a stupid puzzle game. No appreciation for the dark humor or the clever game mechanics. They could never appreciate a Portal Device Replica the way I could. Maybe you’re not like them though and you salivate at the thought. Well, here it is at a 30% discount. You’re welcome. More »

This Lightning Reaction Reloaded Shocking Game Is Your Masochism-Party Deal Of The Day [Dealzmodo]

Ah, the board game party. One of life’s most fulfilling evenings. Gathering together with your friends to really liven up your night with a little Trivia Pursuit and SceneIt! Maybe some Dungeons and Dragons or Magic: The Gathering for the geekier among you. Maybe that’s not your kinda party, though. Maybe you need a little more action in your life. Maybe you want to feel the excitement physically. Maybe you want to hurt the ones you love. Well, then I think I found your next party game. This game doesn’t test your wits or how much you happen to know about the Belarus national anthem. This game is all about reflexes. And when you don’t win, you lose big. It just seems like a pretty sadistic thing to do to your friends, but I guess if you all agree to it you might as well hook yourselves up to this Lightning Reaction Reloaded game and shock each other all night. This Darth Maul Electric Mask Is Your Weapon-Forged-By-The-Dark-Side Deal of the Day [Dealzmodo]

Sometimes an item is just so much that it’s not quite enough. Today’s item is a perfect example. This is an electronic Darth Maul mask that doesn’t just look like the Sith villain from The Phantom Menace, it sounds like him, too. But if you’re going to go that far, go all the way. Get a Star Wars Hoodie so it looks like you’re dressed for the part. Get a real lightsaber and see if you can modify it to the double-bladed one Darth Maul used. The point is, if you’re going to get the mask it’s just not enough to be as fully ridiculous into the Star Wars role-play as you obviously want to be. If you’re going to join the Dark Side and wear this thing around, you might as well go nuts! More »

This Nerf Sword And Shield Is Your Dragon-Slaying Princess-Rescuing Deal of the Day [Dealzmodo]

Nothing on Earth brings out the imagination better than Nerf. I mean, it’s one thing to build something amazing in a game or use those crazy little bricks, but with Nerf you actually get to play it out. Like… outside. In a field. Or abandoned factory. And with this Sword and Shield from Nerf, now you can pretend to be something more than a well-armed mercenary with a Nerf gun. Now you can be Link in Ocarina of Time! Link is what it first reminded me of, and I do love that game. I guess you could also be a knight or a futuristic warrior poet. Whatever. The point is, your imagination is one step away from being fueled at a 23% discount. More »
