This Mega Rig Shark And Ship Set Is Your Because-Children-Love-Sharks Deal of the Day [Dealzmodo]

Hey kiddies! Are you enjoying your summertime? The sun, the games, the school break, the pool… Ah, it’s a good time to be a kid! So how about a new toy? Everyone loves toys! And this $27 Mega Rig Shark Ship Set (regularly $60) comes with an evil-looking shark with glowing red eyes and jaws ready to clamp down on your leg! There’s also a ship—an oddly modern ship with harpoons, cranes and apparently an air control tower. For the non-existent flight deck. In case you want to call in an air strike on the shark. It does float, though. So that’s pretty cool. And the ship can apparently be made into other vehicles if you want. But the shark, the shark stays the same—terrifying and perfect. More »

This 24-inch LG LCD Monitor Is Your LG’s-Logo-Looks-Like-Pac-Man Deal of the Day [Dealzmodo]

My desktop computer is one I put together myself back in 2008. I was stationed in Greece and I didn’t really have much else to do. I haven’t updated it much since then, and it’s definitely due, but I like it. The thing I really liked about it was how cheap it ended up being. I didn’t pay as much as I was expecting to and because of that I splurged a little extra on the monitor. I already had a monitor I was going to use but it was small and old. The thought of getting a 24″ monitor seemed ridiculous! I was very excited. There was an obvious jump in price between even a 23″ and a 24″ then, so I think most people with my money would just settle. That one inch felt like all the power in the world. Hopefully for someone out there, this 24″ LG LCD Monitor can offer the same level of excitement. More »

This LED Matrix Watch Is Your Complicated-Math-Bling Deal of the Day [Dealzmodo]

I do not wear a watch. I spend my entire day around computers and iPhones and Xboxes. Everything tells me the time and usually in a way that doesn’t require me to correct it. So, I don’t bother to wear a watch. I’m not much of one for jewelry either. More »

This Upside-Down Helicopter Is Your Don’t-Tell-Me-How-To-Fly Deal of the Day [Dealzmodo]

Remote-controlled flying machines really seem to be all the rage these days! I mean, don’t get me wrong… they’re awesome! But is it possible this is already a saturated market? The machines really have a broad appeal! Kids, adults, weird adults, the military. Everyone wants to get in on this action! So I suppose if you’re going to create a flying machine, you might as well create one that can fly upside down! That’ll work as a gimmick, right? Sure it will if you add a little discount incentive to top it off! More »

This Lego Republic Frigate Is Your Saving-The-Republic-One-Minifig-Transport-At-A-Time Deal Of The Day [Dealzmodo]

There’s a lot of Lego love at Gizmodo. There’s a lot of Star Wars love here, too. And when the two things come together, we can’t help but rejoice. I think Star Wars Lego is one of the smartest and coolest things Lego has ever done. Sure beats the Space Shuttle and Wild West fort I had when I was a kid. Although, it definitely doesn’t beat the minifig cowboy astronauts. Honestly, can anything really? I’m very impressed with Legos these days. They’ve stepped up their game with amazing things, but sadly I don’t actually own any Legos. The Star Wars Republic Frigate might be the nerdy cousin of awesome Star Wars ships, but this version is 30% off, so maybe it’s still a place to start. More »
