Hashtag Banner: #lifeimitatingtweet

Twitter’s hashtag feature is trending in real life. Banter Banner’s Hashtag Banner lets you make a custom hashtagged message. It won’t make your room or office easier to find, but it will make you more visible. Tweet, tweet motherflippers.

Don’t even think about posting a full 140-character message with your Hashtag Banner because you can only order a maximum of 30 letters at once. Or maybe you can chain multiple banners together? All Banter Banner says is that they’re attached with brass grommets.

You can order a Hashtag Banner from Banter Banner. It costs between $25 to $40 (USD) depending on the number of letters in your message. I’m sure a few months from now we’ll have a digital picture frame that cycles through Vine videos.

Lawn Dinosaur Gets Dressed for Every Season

Redditor Sarcasticonomist says that his family has a lawn dinosaur named Dug. They dress him up according to the season, and he even has his own Facebook page. I can only assume that the owners of the home are named Fred and Wilma.

He says that the dinosaur was purchased from a place that sold such things, though I’m not sure what store sells large dinosaurs. Who does this? Well, somebody does. It certainly makes for a fun neighborhood attraction. I especially love this big guy dressed in a bunny suit for Easter. Here he is getting ready for the big game tonight:

Guess he’s not a Ravens’ fan. Dinosaurs would be so pissed at us if they were still around to see this. The joke’s on them. We rule the Earth now! And no one can stop us. Well, except for those aliens that abduct us and will one day rule the world side by side with the robots.

Star Wars Scarecrows: Straw Wars, Nothing but Straw Wars…

Scarecrows usually scare people (and crows) away, but this Star Wars scarecrow scene is just going to attract fans. If we are very lucky they will scare away the prequels, and keep Lucas from ever messing with the original saga again.

Imgur user jesusshuttlesworth34 created (or maybe just photographed) this awesome scene. I really don’t care who created it, it’s just great. All of your favorite characters are here.

There’s a stormtrooper, Obi-Wan, Yoda, Vader, Palpatine, R2-D2, Jabba, the Death Star and more. There’s even an Emperor with light-up Force lightning coming from his hands.

It must have taken a long time to prepare and make these scarecrows. I would never take them down. In fact, how do you feel about an all scarecrow Star Wars Halloween Christmas New Years Easter Labor Day special? Sounds great to me.

TARDIS String Lights: I Know What’s Going on My Christmas Tree This Year

There’s no more iconic symbol of geekdom than Doctor Who’s TARDIS. You could pretty much make anything into a TARDIS, and it’ll not only be cool, but everyone will know exactly what you’re into. So the next time you throw an outdoor party – or just want to decorate your house – pick up a set of these TARDIS string lights, and proudly fly your geek flag.

Each set of TARDIS lights comes with ten tiny TARDISes (TARDi?) strung together on a 9-foot-long cord. And just like most holiday lights, you can plug multiple strings into each other to make a longer one. I wonder if you could shrink yourself and step inside one of the miniature TARDi, if there’d be a set of time and space controls inside.

Doctor Who fans (or blue police box fans) can grab a string of these TARDIS lights over at ThinkGeek for $19.99(USD). Grab ‘em now if you want to be sure to have them decorate your holiday tree this year. One ThinkGeek commenter even suggested a Weeping Angel tree-topper to go with.
