Heated Lotion Dispenser keeps hands clean and warm

heated-lotion-dispenserWe humans operate best at an optimal temperature, too cold and it would be inefficient for us to walk around all wrapped up like a puffed up mummy, too hot and the sweltering heat would just about sap one’s energy away before doing anything in the first place. Going to the washroom is something that most of us do every single day, and after we’re done with our business, it is time to wash them hands. During the winter, your hands might get cold very fast, which is why the $39.99 Heated Lotion Dispenser does its bit to help by making your hand lotion warm, soothing your digits as you spread the lotion all over.

The Heated Lotion Dispenser is a snap to use – all that you need to do is fill up the 16 oz. reservoir with your favorite hand lotion or body lotion, where the coil heat design will ensure that the lotion inside will warm up (without spoiling or altering its chemical make up) in a matter of two minutes thereabouts. Of course, it will need to be plugged in in order to work, and there is an LED power indicator light to inform you that it is turned on, alongside a 5′ cord with an on/off switch.

Musical Drink-dispensing Machine Serves Southern Comfort

David Cranmer is a mechanical sculpture artist. You might remember him from such projects as theremin in a stuffed badger. He is always busy creating new projects. This is his latest.

You may or may not know that Southern Comfort originated in New Orleans. And so a marketing company working on behalf of the brand hired David to create some sculptures to promote The beverage. The result is two machines built around instruments that are reminiscent of New Orleans’s jazz history. Just insert a bottle and press a trumpet key.

What happens next is magical. Alcohol is delivered. That’s real magic, unlike that fake Harry Potter stuff. Give me a drink any day over an invisibility cloak. Music and alcohol. What could be better?

A Brilliant Toilet Paper Dispenser To Leave Crapping Campers Clean and Hassle-Free

Camping purists may prefer to eschew traditional toilet paper in favor of nature’s very own brand of sticks and leaves, but to the untrained eye, becoming one with Mother Earth might might leave a lasting, painful reminder on those tender, poison-ivy-scrubbed nether regions. So for those of us who aren’t quite ready to give up all the comforts of home, students at the Alberta College of Art and Design have put together this clever, waterproof toilet paper dispenser to make outdoor defecating a delight. Childhood Dream Come True: PEZ Dispensers Personalized with Your Face

I used to have the largest collection of PEZ dispensers among my friends – that is, before our dog discovered my stash and chewed them all to unrecognizable bits. While I mourned the loss of my collection, I was sick with relief that our dog didn’t choke on the tiny plastic parts.

If you have a long and rich history with PEZ like I do, then no doubt you’ll find the idea of having a PEZ dispenser featuring your face a fun one.

Before anything else, yes, it is possible, and yes, it’s been done (fairly recently) before. Hot Pop Factory had a client who wanted to give their employees a customized holiday gift in the form of – you guessed it – PEZ dispensers with their faces on them.

So how’d they do it? Hot Pop Factory co-founders and designers Matt Compeau and Bi-Ying Miao used an Xbox Kinect motion-sensor to scan the head of each recipient of the gift and then used a 3D printer to print out the PEZ dispenser replica heads.

Now that’s what I call a truly personalized present. PEZ needs to start offering this as a service on their website immediately.

R2-D2 Beverage Dispenser Serves the Drinks You Are Looking for

This little droid may not look like much, but he’s fulled to the brim. With booze. Or whatever other beverage you choose. This R2 unit has electronic Super Soaker parts inside and here, he is filled with blue gatorade.

Due to the unfortunate placement of his spigot, it actually looks like the little droid is relieving himself right into your cup. That’s a great image to consider while you are drinking up. Inside is the Super Soaker pump and a water bottle to store liquid. R2′s body was one of those big protein drink mix containers. Its creators explain “After spraying it white and masking off the entire thing with blue painter’s tape, the shapes for the blue designs were cut out and painted. Half of a foam sphere from the hobby shop was used to form the dome.”

Pretty cool, but I’m glad we never saw R2 relieve himself in the movies. I didn’t know droids peed blue, though, so you learn something new every day.
