Friday Denon announced in Japan the launch of two new AV Amp with the AVR-X2000 and AVR-X1000. Announced at 84,000 and 55,560 yen respectively both models comes with DLNA 1.5, WAV and FLAC Support in 24bit/192kHz, Audyssey MultEQ XT, Apple Lossless, Audyssey Dynamic Volume, Audyssey Dynamic EQ, USB, iPhone support and on Screen GUI.

Shopping for a new home AV setup with DLNA support? You’ve got twice as many options as you might have had just a few years ago. The Digital Living Network Alliance says that it has certified over 500 AV systems, handily doubling the number of devices it has certified since 2010. The organization issued a press release lambasting the dark ages of pre-DLNA AV setups and the “bulky tapes, memory cards, discs and CDs” that media lovers once had to contend with. “Consumers are demanding more from their digital content and looking for ways to access media from multiple devices on their home network,” explains DLNA chairman and president Nidhish Parikh. “Certified AV systems are able to communicate with other consumer electronics… …effectively expanding the boundaries of the digital home through easy interoperability.” More connected devices for folks outside of the Apple ecosystem? Sounds good to us — even if most devices pack in compatibility for both.

Kenwood outs two new Mini Hi-Fi with the UD-NF7 and UD-F5

Kenwood outs in Japan two new mini Hi-Fi or component with the UD-NF7 and UD-F5 that comes with a 50Wx2ch output at 4Ω, EX.BASS, CD Player, FM/AM, Support of MP3, WMA files, USB as well as iOS Devices. Technically identical, only the High-end UD-NF7 will come whoever with WiFi, DLNA 1.5 and AriPlay support.
Both models are expected to the available in Japan early November and sold around 60,000 Yen for the UD-NF7 and 38,000 for the UD-F5

JVC announces the EX-N5, a new “Wood Cone” compact Hi-Fi with DLNA and AirPlay

JVC Kenwood announced today a new pair of Wood Cone compact Hi-Fi with the EX-N5 and EX-N1. Both models comes with a nice 50Wx2Ch output, FM/AM Radio, USB, CD and iPod, iPhone (No iPhone 5) and iPad. But some of the new features of these new Compact Hi-Fi are the support of DLNA 1.5, AirPlay and WiFi for the EX-N5. These new Hi-Fi will be available in Japan early October and sold at around 80,000 Yen for the EX-N5 and 60,000 Yen for the EX-N1.

Denon releases Network DRA-N5 & RCD-N8 CD players with iPhone & iPod dock

Denon introduced today in Japan two new Compact Network Mini Component with iPhone and iPod Dock with the RCD-N8 and DRA-N5. Both models comes with WiFi, DLNA 1.5, an iPhone/iPod Dock, USB PlayBack with MP3/WMA/AAC/WAV/FLAC support, a Maximum output of 80Wx2ch at 4Ω and a 55W Power consumption and just 0.3W in standby. The difference between both models comes with the support of AM/FM, CD and 3 instead of 1 analog audio input that is only available on the RCD-N8.
