Doctor Who Pillows for When You Inevitably Don’t Blink for Several Hours

If you are in the market for some nerdy pillows – specifically of the Doctor Who variety – here are some great designs from Etsy seller FourEyesHandmade. This Dalek pillow is my favorite of the bunch – with a bit of a minimalist design.

If you have to exterminate wakefulness, just rest your head on this one for $32(USD) and dream sweet dreams of killing the Doctor’s most feared enemies. There’s also a sweet TARDIS pillow for the same price, though it would be cooler if it were actually shaped like a TARDIS.

My second favorite is this Cybermen pillow, also for $32(USD). This one looks like it is based on the modern Cybermen, not the classic version.

These are some neat pillows to rest your head on after your next Doctor Who marathon. You can find all three of these designs, as well as a variety of other cool and geeky pillows over at Four Eyes Handmade’s Etsy shop.

The Cast of Doctor Who in Bunny Form, Why Not?

Here comes Doctor Cottontail, hopping down the bunny trail. Hippity Hoppity, the TARDIS is on the way… What the hell happened to the Doctor here? And Amy and Rory? Well, this isn’t some lost Easter special episode. Etsy seller Catherine Boucher aka StitchyButton turned them into cute little bunnies.
Doctor Who bunnies
Yeah, this has probably been done before, but if so, I’m sure it wasn’t done this well. These time traveling hares are adorable.

She makes all kinds of famous characters into bunnies in fact. You might say that they multiply like rabbits. She makes Harry Potter, Marvel characters, and even the ladies from Game of Thrones – but they’re not rabbits, at least not yet. But these Doctor who bunnies are the neatest I think. Great work, Catherine!

Doctor Who Sonic Screwdriver Universal Remote Control

Are you a huge fan of the Doctor Who series? If you are and want to collect all items that are connected to Doctor Who, then you might be interested to pick up the £59.99 Doctor Who Sonic Screwdriver Universal Remote Control. This Sonic Screwdriver (in the series at least) is said to be an indispensable tool for any travelling Time Lord, but in real life away from the fictional realm, it does nothing but to send your fanboy blood surging through your body while increasing the adrenaline rush.

This is a die cast metal model that is meticulously hand detailed, complete with a polished copper plating and an authentic soft touch grip. It has been painstakingly built to last for a long, long time, done with a whole lot of care with the occasional battery replacement moments. The Doctor Who Sonic Screwdriver Universal Remote Control is a fully programmable, gesture based Universal Remote Control that relies on infrared technology so that you can control home appliances like TVs and DVD players.

This Sonic Screwdriver is a Remote Control on the Inside

A remote control? Whaaaat. It doesn’t make as much sense as the Sonic Screwdriver screwdriver right? Then again, it’s not as if the tool itself makes sense. A screwdriver that opens locks and takes vital stats? Whaaaat.

Except for its case, this gadget is very similar to the Magic Wand remote control. It can learn up to 39 gestures – and thus 39 commands – to control any device that has an infrared remote, from TVs to home theater systems. It also emits 13 sound effects from the Doctor Who series.

ThinkGeek sells the Sonic Screwdriver programmabey-remotey for $100 (USD), but you should travel to the site at a future date in September because the gadget is currently sold out.

DNP Think Geek unveils Sonic Screwdriver,

Ever wished you too could make use of the awesome powers that lie within Dr. Matt Smith’s Mark VII Sonic Screwdriver? Well, it’s still not exactly a reality in the way of the space-bred handyman’s gadget seen on Doctor Who, but ThinkGeek and The Wand Company have you covered if an IR-packing replica universal remote sounds good enough. Sonic Screwdriver Bouquet: Do You Take This Doctor?

Suppose the Doctor and River Song got married. This would be River’s bouquet, because you know, that’s her sonic screwdriver as the stem. But in real life this was a human bride’s bouquet that not only features River’s sonic screwdriver, but there are also paper flowers from the pages of a Sherlock Holmes story on top. That makes it doubly awesome.

Doctor Who fans with impending nuptials now have another project to keep them busy until the big day. You already have the TARDIS or Dalek cake, no doubt. The groom will be dressed like the Doctor, the bride like River Song and now you have a sonic screwdriver bouquet.

But don’t stop there. I want to see some Daleks walking her down the aisle and a Cyberman presenting the ring. Nah, that’s not too much.

Minecraft TARDIS: Blockier on the Everywhere

YouTuber UnlimitedMind42′s Doctor Who Minecraft machinima is so awesome you might not mind if the Twelfth Doctor was Dr. Steve. It’s all here – a TARDIS that’s actually bigger on the inside, time travel and a blocky David Tennant.

At first it seems that the Doctor is only traveling through space and not through time, but be patient. Who am I kidding – patience is a nonexistent virtue on the Internet. Skip to 3:00 in the video to see the proof that he is indeed traveling through time.

UnlimitedMind42 should have used the Weeping Angels mod for an additional reference. Again, this is not a mod, just a fun video, but you can get the textures that UnlimitedMind42 made – including the David Tennant skin – here.

Doctor Who TARDIS Quilt Surprisingly Not Made from the Fabric of Time

If you are a Doctor Who fan and are getting married, I hope you have a friend like graverobbergirl who created this TARDIS-themed quilt for her friend’s wedding present. She is a very good friend, indeed.

It features an swirling TARDIS surrounded by a whole mess of Daleks. Plus there’s a star field border on the outside. This queen-sized quilt measures 92″ x 92″ and is done in a pieced Irish Chain pattern. It was hand-quilted and machine-quilted, along with hand-applique and hand-embroidery.

The lucky couple will sleep just fine at night with this quilt keeping them warm. No doubt they will dream of Daleks and adventures on far away worlds. He will be the Doctor and she the companion. May they be happy for many years.
