Doctor Who 11th Doctor Cupcake: The Regeneration That Could Have Been

Check out this Doctor Who cupcake that looks just like the 11th Doctor. It shows us that that Steven Moffat really missed the boat with the latest regeneration. Why couldn’t he have regenerated into a delicious cupcake? Cupcakes are cool! Right?

Don’t tell me that a show full of cupcake people wouldn’t work. Give cupcake Doctor Who a sonic screwdriver and an edible companion and you have a show. And a TARDIS of course. When it is time to regenerate, he just melts and turns into batter, goes into the oven and turns into a new version. Yes, that is the weird way my mind works.

This geeky delight comes from Nerdache Cakes, who clearly know their way around sugar, flour, butter and a pastry bag.

Doctor Who/Minecraft Cake: It’s Blockier on the Outside

Fans of Minecraft and Doctor Who will love this mashup cake and want one for their own birthday. This amazing-looking Dark Chocolate Cake with Light Caramel Frosting was made by Chef JB Cada and Stephanie Santos from Quezon City, Philippines bakery The Regali Kitchen.

It brings together two geek favorites in one delectable dessert. It features the 10th Doctor wearing his 3D glasses, along with a Dalek and a Weeping Angel – all done up in Minecraft style. Obviously it was made for Aemon’s 11th birthday and I wish I were that kid.

They probably should have had the 11th Doctor there too since it is the kid’s 11th birthday, but it’s still pretty awesome.

Doctor Who’s Story in One Poster: Baywheux Tapestry

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who, artist Bill Mudron drew a timeline – timeandspaceline? – of the Time Lord’s adventures. His artwork starts with the First Doctor up until the upcoming The Day of the Doctor episode, with major events noted in between. In other words, it’s one massive spoiler.

Bill made the timeline in the style of the Bayeux Tapestry – a 230ft. long embroidered cloth that depicts a major historical event in England – hence its name. Bill originally planned to draw the timeline in one continuous strip just like the Bayeux Tapestry, but he eventually decided against it because the resulting print would’ve been hard to frame and display. The final print measures 24″ x 36″. You can check out a high-res image of the print on Bill’s Flickr page.

Doctor Who Mobile Will Help Your Child Through Their Latest Regeneration

Timelords have it so easy. They can die a jillion times and come back as a different person, who is really the same person and each time they are already an adult. No need to physically grow up at all. Humans on the other hand, even if you believe in regeneration/reincarnation, have to go through the messy process of being born, teething, pooping and peeing all over yourself etc. It’s not fair.

Well, this TARDIS mobile can help your baby through this tough human regeneration time. Or maybe it will tick your child off by reminding him or her of how easy Timelords have it.

This mobile belongs to some friends of UTLVRev1312, who bought the mobile on Etsy, though they don’t say what artist made it. You’ll notice it’s got a plush Doctor, a TARDIS, and a Dalek, but there’s also a weeping angel dangling about off camera. Best to not let your baby blink.

Get this. The baby’s name is Amelia. Do you think her last name is Pond? It wouldn’t surprise me.
