Draw Something 2 Launches In The US

Draw Something 2 Launches In The USZynga certainly had quite a massive hit with the Draw Something game last year, although they will need far more than just Draw Something to keep the company’s earnings results in line with expectations from the general market. Well, you know how the saying goes – if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, which is why a sequel to Draw Something leaked sometime in the middle of last month, and here we are with official word from the horse’s mouth, none other than Zynga CEO Mark Pincus himself, that they will be releasing Draw Something 2 in the US today.

It remains to be seen at the tie of Pincus’ sharing on whether this social drawing game title will be made available to folks who run on iOS devices only, or will it also be extended to those who use Android-powered smartphones and tablets. As at press time, Draw Something 2 has already made its way to those living in Sweden and are rocking to iOS for 22 kronor a pop, while our friends living in the Great White North will have to fork out CA$2.99 for their copy.

Draw Something 2 Leaked

Draw Something 2 LeakedAmerican Idol host Ryan Seacrest did take part in the leak of Draw Something 2 by sending out a tweet, and it would surely bring back memories of its predecessor that certainly saw its fair share of gamers jump on board, doing their best to make educated guesses at what was drawn, while others used their artistic skills to make life easier for the guesser. Seacrest tweeted, “I somehow convinced them to give me #DrawSomething2 first… this may be the best Mariah & Randy have ever looked.”

On the right, you will see a pretty decent rendition of American Idol judges Randy Jackson and Mariah Carey, all decked out in Draw Something glory. Dan Porter, Zynga VP, also confirmed the existence of Draw Something 2 by tweeting, “Thanks! So excited to confirm #DrawSomething2 is coming w/ new ways to draw & connect.” With such a high profile show’s host tweeting about it, would this make you pick up your stylus all over again, and start to practice drawing on a smartphone display just like the good ol’ days? Surely Draw Something 2 might warrant an upgrade to a phablet for its largest real screen estate, no?
