Motorola Droid RAZR HD makes another cameo, shows its global creds

Welcome to yet another episode in the Droid RAZR HD‘s ongoing leak to market. The global variant of Motorola’s flagship handset — which is expected to supersede the Atrix HD and inevitably land on Verizon real-soon-now — just made an appearance on xda-developers. What’s new? It appears this phone is being tested on Vodafone and supposedly features an eight-megapixel camera (down from the rumored 13 MP). As a refresher, the Droid RAZR HD is slated to run Ice Cream Sandwich on a dual-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor and boast a 720p HD display (likely 4.5-inches across). There’s still no official word from Motorola, but we’ll keep you posted as we find out more. In the meantime, take a look at the gallery below.

Motorola Droid RAZR HD (XT926) to feature non-removable 2,530mAh battery, according to its FCC filing

Just the other day, we reported that thanks to an FCC filing, it was revealed that the Motorola XT926, also known as the Droid RAZR HD would feature Verizon’s 4G LTE radio bands, global roaming and NFC capabilities. The rest of the specs remain unknown, but thanks to the sharp eyes of some, it has been spotted that within the FCC document, more details were uncovered pertaining to the battery life of the device. Under the “Testing” section, it was discovered that the battery of the Droid RAZR HD would not be removable and would sport a capacity of 2,530mAh.

This is obviously smaller than the 3,300mAh battery that was previously rumored, which can also be found on the Droid RAZR MAXX. No word on why Motorola decided to introduce a smaller battery especially since it was obvious that many users appreciated the larger 3,300mAh battery on the RAZR MAXX (especially with its 4G LTE capabilities!). Either way it is still more than the regular Droid RAZR, so we guess it’s better than nothing, right?

Motorola Droid RAZR HD raises hopes during its brief encounter with the FCC?

Motorola Droid Razr HD

What do we know about Motorola’s Droid RAZR HD? It’s likely to arrive clad in a Kevlar body, run Ice Cream Sandwich and be quick off the blocks. Now we can possibly start looking forward to a release date for such a teasing device since it’s been passed fit for human consumption by the boys at the FCC. The test documents revealed it’s got CDMA and GSM radios, will slurp down Verizon’s LTE and pack an NFC chip — but alas, no hint of whether we should be waiting for a version with a bigger battery.

Motorola XT926 (Droid RAZR HD) spotted at the FCC with Verizon’s 4G LTE radios

If you’re looking forward to getting your hands on the Motorola Droid RAZR HD, it seems like we are one step closer to seeing its release, thanks to a recent FCC filing which revealed the Motorola XT926, also known as the Motorola Droid RAZR HD. As expected, the device came with 4G LTE bands that are compatible with Verizon’s network along with global roaming capabilities and NFC. Unfortunately apart from these details which many had already speculated on, not much else was revealed. Assuming the rumors and speculations are to be believed, other features that we can expect from the phone include a 720p HD display, a 13MP rear-facing camera, 1GB of RAM, a 3,300mAh battery and will run on Android, although it is unclear if it will come with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich or Android 4.1 Jelly Bean (we have a feeling it’s probably the former). Either way if the Droid RAZR HD is a phone you’re looking forward to, be sure to stay tuned as we will keep you updated with the details!
