E FUN 7″ Nextbook Premium Android tablet being prepared for the holidays

Are you on the lookout for the next Android-powered tablet for the coming holidays? Perhaps you might be interested to know that E FUN has just announced the 7″ Nextbook Premium Android-powered tablet, where it even comes with Google Play for the holidays, in addition to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich as the operating system of choice, of course. It would have been nice to see Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, or at least version 4.1, thrown into the mix though.

Well, E FUN has had their fair share of tablets released in the past, and here we are with yet another model. The latest Nextbook Android tablet will boast of full access to Google Play, where it is known as the Nextbook Premium 7SE-GP. This 7″ tablet will also come with improved features such as a 1GHz processor, in addition to 1GB DDR3 RAM, a HDMI-out port, a USB host port as well as 3G Dongle support so that you can remain connected at all times. For memory expansion purposes, a microSD memory card slot has been thrown into the mix, and you will be able to enjoy access to a full suite of Google apps.

It is nice to know that you will be able to get hold of the Nextbook Premium 7SE-GP in time for Christmas, as it will be made available in early December onwards. Jason Liszewski, managing director and vice president of sales for E FUN, said, “We are thrilled to introduce the first Nextbook with Google Play, the Premium 7SE-GP. This tablet combines high performance hardware, user-friendly software and best-of-class content without compromising affordability. The Nextbook Premium 7SE-GP is the perfect holiday gift for yourself or a loved one.”

Thanks to Google Play’s cloud feature, it has the capability to read, listen and watch content on the Nextbook as well as any other device – including a desktop, laptop or mobile phone. You will also be able to access other Android apps from Google such as Gmail, Google Talk, Google+, Google Maps, and YouTube among others. The new Nextbook Premium 7SE-GP will retail for $129.99 a pop.

E FUN Premium 10SE tablet announced

Right now, the world of tablets is split down the middle by iOS and Android as the operating systems of choice, although Microsoft’s recent dance with the tablet market thanks to Windows RT and Windows 8 have livened up the scene somewhat, with BlackBerry’s PlayBook nowhere to be seen. Well, here is one new tablet that bats for the Android team thanks to the folks over at E FUN, with the Premium 10SE in tow. It will occupy the new iPad category in terms of screen size – that’s about it, at 9.7”, while carrying a five-finger multitouch capacitive color screen as well as the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system.

Apart from that, folks who love doing their reading on tablet devices will find the E FUN Premium 10SE to be an interesting addition to their gadget collection as it will come preloaded with the Barnes & Noble NOOK Store, GetJar App Store, CloudLink’s “Productivity Toolbox” as well as a 14-day trial of Net Nanny parental controls software just in case you happen to have a little one at home and want to make sure that he or she does not stumble upon sites that underaged kids should not visit.

In terms of hardware specifications, the E FUN Premium 10SE is no speed demon, but then again, neither is it a slouch. It will run on a 1GHz processor coupled with 1GB RAM to deliver a decent level of performance, while carrying a resolution that is the same as that of the smaller iPad mini at 1024 x 768 pixels. A G-sensor auto-rotate orientation feature lets you enjoy landscape or portrait viewing on the go, and you can further expand upon its 8GB of internal memory via a USB port or a microSD memory card slot. Want to hook up to the Internet to watch videos, check your email or simply download system software updates? Not a problem with its built-in Wi-Fi connectivity.

Other details on the E FUN Premium 10SE include a front-facing camera and a 1080p high-definition video player. If you are interested in picking this puppy up, it will retail for $249.99 from Radio Shack and Hastings.

eFun’s Nextbook Premium 10SE tablet with ICS now available for $280

eFun's Nextbook Premium 10SE tablet with ICS now available for $280

In a market slightly populated by some great well-priced tablets, and one that eFun is quite familiar with, the company decided now was a good time to add yet another slate into the mix. And while the Premium 10SE is slightly pricier than, say, the entry-level Nexus 7 model, eFun’s latest Ice Cream Sandwich slab does sport a larger 9.7-inch, 1024 x 768 display. Still, the Premium 10SE won’t impress many with the rest of its run-of-the-mill internals, which include a 1GHz CPU alongside 1GB of RAM, 8GB of built-in storage (expandable via microSD) and a front-facing 0.3-megapixel shooter — it’s also worth mentioning that eFun is kind enough to bundle in 25 eBooks at no extra cost. The Premium 10SE is available now for $280, though you can save a little cash by heading to your local Radio Shack or Hastings shop, where the Nextbook tablet’s priced at a more affordable $250.

E FUN Premium 7SE tablet targets back-to-school market

All right, so the summer holidays have ended, and many people have gotten back to the swing of things when it comes to working life. As for kids who are still studying, this time of the year would also mean a return to school – some of you love it, others hate it, but you cannot avoid it. Well, what do we have to offer for folks who are headed back to the world of classrooms, jocks and cheerleaders? Why, you would need a tablet device to be part of the “in” crowd, so why not get started with the E FUN Premium 7SE tablet if you have no idea where to begin from?

The E FUN Premium 7SE tablet is a 7” tablet that relies on a user-friendly five-finger multitouch capacitive color screen to get the job done, and you will not find it lacking in terms of its operating system either, as it runs on the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich version, and we are keeping our collective fingers crossed that we might see an Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update coming our way soon, too. You will find that the E FUN Premium 7SE tablet will be preloaded with the Barnes & Noble NOOK Store, GetJar App Store and a 14-day trial of Net Nanny parental controls software to get you started right out of the box.

Jason Liszewski, managing director and vice president of sales for E FUN, remarked, “The Premium 7SE is the perfect tablet for students going back to school. It is light, portable and ultra-functional for taking notes, accessing the Internet, sharing information through email and social networks, reading eBooks, and much more. The Premium 7SE is an affordable computing choice for students of all ages.”

Mobile Flash might be dead, but that has not stopped this tablet from featuring Flash 11 support and over-the-air (OTA) firmware update capabilities. Not only that, you also have a front-facing camera to capture those vanity shots, and a 1080p high-definition video player that delivers quality viewing of favorite movies, and music videos amongst others.

The 7” display on the Premium 7SE carries a pixel count of 800×480 with a 16:9 ratio and a G-sensor auto-rotate orientation feature for landscape or portrait viewing. Just in case 4GB of internal memory is not enough, you can always augment that with a microSD memory card. Data can be transferred via mini USB 2.0, and built-in Wi-Fi connectivity ensures you are never out of touch from the Internet.

If you are interested in the Premium 7SE, then it can be yours for $129.99 a pop.
