Not only that, Withings intends to take its vision of user-friendly connected health another step further.

Sporting a medically-approved blood pressure cuff, it makes it a whole lot easier to use, which would also drastically expand its reach. Withings makes life easier when it comes to taking measurements, where all that you need would be to wrap the cuff around their arm and turn it on. Once done, it will automatically hook up to your smartphone via Bluetooth, opening up the Withings Health Mate application. Tapping the start button, the cuff will inflate and starts to take down the wearer’s systolic, diastolic blood pressure in addition to heart rate. All results would be shown on the screen automatically, saved and compared to standards for better comprehension later on.

Panasonic DMC-ZS40 comes with 30x optical zoom lens

LG’s new Ultra HD TVs will support Ultra HD 4K from Netflix

lg-netflixLG intends to bring something new to the masses this year with their 2014 4K TV range to offer Ultra HD 4K support from Netflix, and this announcement came about at the recently concluded CES 2014. Both LG and Netflix already have had a storied history when it comes to first-to-market introductions, where among them include the first network Blu-ray player that will deliver Netflix streaming all the way back in 2008, resulting in a new generation of Internet-connected consumer electronics devices.

According to Reed Hastings, president and CEO of Netflix, “As the world’s leading Internet TV network, Netflix will be among the first to deliver Ultra HD to consumers. Streaming will be the primary way consumers receive 4K content and we are excited to be working with LG to make this a reality later this year.”

LG’s 2014 ULTRA HD TVs have been specially designed in a way to deliver the latest standards for connectivity, content protection as well as program encoding, which means that they are specially equipped to handle 4K streaming. Razer Nabu SmartBand announced

This time around, we have word that Razer has just announced their Nabu SmartBand, where it has already been touted to be the first wearable device in the world that is capable of notifications, life tracking, band-to-band social connectivity as well as gamification. Hmmm, come to think of it, is “gamification” even a legit word? I suppose so. The Razer Nabu is a new revolutionary wearable technology which will be able to send you notifications from a smartphone, and it also has the smarts to track selected personal information. Apart from that, the Razer Nabu SmartBand functions as an open platform where third-party applications are able to exploit in order to create novel experiences for users.

The Razer Nabu will sport a couple of OLED notification displays, where there is a Public Icon Screen and a Private Message Screen. The Public icon screen will be located on the top of the wrist, where you will then be notified of any incoming calls, texts, emails and app updates through notification icons. As for the Private message screen, it will be placed on the inside of the wrist, providing detailed information of texts, emails, bio data and other updates which can only be viewed by the user.
