Waterproof Body Hair Trimmer helps you remain clean shaven even when wet

waterproof-body-hair-trimmerDo you find it strange that we want the things that we do not have, and do not really appreciate the things that we have? Take hair for example, those of us with straight hair go out to perm our hair for some curls, while those with curls would want to rebond their hair to set it straight. How about facial hair? Some folk hate the “chore” of having to shave every few days, while the rest of us who are less hirsute need to find all sorts of ways to encourage facial hair growth, but at the end of it all, only one or two strands start to pop up. If you are one who spends plenty of time grooming yourself in the bathroom, you can add the $69.95 Waterproof Body Hair Trimmer to your arsenal of tools.

The Waterproof Body Hair Trimmer works as it is called – this happens to be a waterproof trimmer which can be used to groom body hair even while you are in the shower itself. Not only does that make it a whole lot more comfortable, it is also more convenient as the cordless device will glide over your skin, trimming body hair while it is wet in order to minimize the irritation of a dry shave, while ensuring that whatever water pressure you are receiving from the shower head would immediately washing away the trimmings. The Waterproof Body Hair Trimmer comes with a 3mm blade and will cut neatly any hair on the chest, back, and other parts of the body. It will also be accompanied by a nose and ear attachment, while adjustable blades and comb guides for trimming the beard and mustache are there to help you out, too. All of its juice is derived from a pair of AA batteries.

Smart Sensing Heater helps you save energy costs

smart-sensing-heaterWinter might be fun with building snowmen and carrying out snowball fights, but when it comes to making sure that you are all warm and toasty, that is either going to need plenty of layers of clothing, or you could just end up turning the heater all the way to the hot end and burn through your pocket as the electricity bills arrive at the end of the winter season. Having said that, don’t you wish that there was a heater which consumed as little energy as possible, all the while making sure everyone is warm and toasty? This is where the $99.99 Smart Sensing Heater comes in, where it will help you save energy by automatically adjusting its heat output and fan to maintain your desired room comfort level.

The only part that you need to play? Turn the heater on, and you are good to go. Whenever you feel that the room which is being heated has arrived at a level comfortable to yourself, all you need to do is dial back the thermostat to switch on the Smart Thermaflo Mode. This would allow the heater to automatically reduce heat output, while synchronizing its fan speed so that you end up with whisper quiet operation and a constant temperature and comfort level. Have little ones and pets running around the home? Fret not, the Smart Sensing Heater comes with a cool touch cabinet that is safe for everyone to be around.

Panasonic Toughpad 4K UT-MB5 is first 20” tablet with 4K resolution display in the world

panasonic-toughpadI am quite sure that by now, many of us would have set our sights on Apple unveiling a new iPhone, or perhaps even two if plenty of pre-release photos of a budget-oriented iPhone 5C were to be believed, in addition to the possibility of a new tablet. Well, regardless of what tablet Apple announces later today, if any, I am convinced that it will not be able to hold a candle to the size as well as resolution of the Panasonic Toughpad 4K UT-MB5 tablet. After all, this bad boy is touted to be the first 20” tablet in the world that sports 4K resolution, now how about that for some truly eye popping visuals?

The Panasonic Toughpad 4K UT-MB5 tablet was specially developed for sales, marketing and media professionals as part of their high end and new Ultra-High Definition Toughpad range. Make no mistake about it, this was never meant to be a commercial tablet for the masses, but rather, it will be a specialist performance model that is ideal for 3D modelling and CAD applications, and would come in handy when it is used in the hands of technical professionals such as engineers, architects and designers.

Your eyes will appreciate the 4K resolution which is said to be over four times better than HD at 3840 x 2560 pixels, and the name itself, the Toughpad 4K UT-MB5, also lends a rather obvious clue that this is going to be one business-minded yet rugged, portable tablet which will be able to break new ground in digital viewing with 4K resolution, collaborative working with touchscreen capabilities as well as feature a special Panasonic Electronic Touch Pen for pin-point accuracy and annotation. Other hardware specifications include a 15:10 aspect ratio and 230 pixels per inch, which makes it more than ideal to display large images, A3 drawings, brochures and multimedia. It will run on an Intel Core i5 processor, has up to 8GB RAM, and boasts of NVIDIA GeForce graphics, tipping the scales at 2.35kg and measuring 12.5mm thin.

Nissan Nismo smartwatch not quite ready for prime time yet

nissan-nismo-watchNissan might be the last name on your mind to have it announce that it is behind the latest smartwatch concept, considering how the company happens to be an auto manufacturer and not a consumer electronics player in a long shot. Well, this just goes to show how diversified some companies’ interests can be, and Nissan has just announced their conceptual Nissan Nismo smartwatch that will not hook up to your smartphone so that you have a “duplicate” of what kind of incoming notifications and calls you have, but rather, it would help connect the driver to the car, and vice versa.

For starters, the Nissan Nismo smartwatch’s main strength is to showcase Nissan’s intent to deliver biometric data that will help enhance driver performance and efficiency. Needless to say, their foray into this particular market segment would automatically make Nissan the first car manufacturer to develop a smartwatch that was specifically designed for drivers of Nissan Nismo cars. Provide drivers with real-time biometric data, it will also enable the driver to monitor the efficiency of their vehicle with average speed and fuel consumption readings; access vehicle telematics and performance data while on track; capture biometric data via a heart rate monitor; connect to the car using a smartphone app via Bluetooth Low Energy; and receive tailored car messages from Nissan.

Who knows what the future might bring? There are another three more key technologies that have been identified for future development, and they are ECG (Electrocardiogram) to help measure the intervals of the R-R rhythm of the heart and identify early fatigue; EEG (Electroencephalogram) Brainwave that is capable of monitoring the drivers’ levels of concentration and emotions while assisting athletes to get ‘In The Zone’; and Skin Temperature, where it will keep track of your core body temperature and hydration levels. Powered by a lithium battery, the Nissan Nismo Watch will be juiced up via microUSB and offers a battery life of more than a week under normal usage conditions.

LG Display unveils first Intel WiDi enabled LCD panel for monitors in the world

lg-display-widiLG Display remains at the forefront of things yet again, as the company has just announced that they have successfully developed the world’s first LCD panel for monitors that will boast of the Intel Wireless Display (WiDi) technology, which obviously is a project that was performed in collaboration with Intel Corporation. This happens to be a spanking new 23.8-inch LCD panel that would be the most recent improvement which empowers users with the ability to stream wirelessly their laptop and desktop content to their TVs as well as monitors in a far more seamless manner.

This successful collaboration with Intel resulted in the development of a panel that will offer Intel WiDi solution through the construction of a key chipset directly into the LCD module. Thanks to such a cutting-edge LCD panel that has been embedded with an Intel WiDi solution, LG Display would be able to let users enjoy quality images with an easy and convenient access to Intel WiDi technology, all without having to go through the hassle of using additional devices, not to mention paving the way for OEMs and monitor manufacturers to weigh and consider the possibility of adopting such advanced technology in their future range of products.

Sang-Yeol Kim, Vice President of LG Display’s IT and Mobile Product Planning Division, said, “LG Display’s latest development brings us closer to the N-Screen era. Through our close collaboration with Intel Corporation, we look forward to pioneering the age of wireless devices with our global partners.”

It remains to be seen, however, just how much such a display would cost when it eventually arrives in the market. We do know, however, that this 23.8” Intel WiDi solution-enabled LCD panel will make its debut at the upcoming 2013 Intel Developer Forum which will happen tomorrow until September 12th in San Francisco, California.

Pavlovian Puppy Potty Trainer makes your life less stressful

pavlovian-pottyAnyone who has had a puppy before, or are currently going through the training phases of a puppy would definitely be able to tell you how stressful it can get at times, especially when you want to potty train it. Take it from me though, as a proud owner of two (adorable) furkids, spending that single month alone to potty train them is well worth the effort and time, since such solid training would last them for their entire lifetime! Once they know where to do their business, never again would then poop or pee in their playpen or cage or elsewhere at home, unless they happen to fall ill or you have not let them out to do their business beyond what they can stand. How about a tool to make life easier? The $99.95 Pavlovian Puppy Potty Trainer would come in handy in this case.

The Pavlovian Puppy Potty Trainer happens to be a puppy pad which is capable of recognizing just when a pet has relieved itself properly, where it will then use positive reinforcement by dispensing a reward in order to encourage good habits, never mind that the owner him/herself is unable to be physically present to provide praise. This unique device boasts of internal sensors in the mat that will detect moisture and send a wireless signal to the treat dispenser, which you will obviously need to ensure remains stocked with a dog’s favorite kibble. Not only that, each purchase comes with a handheld remote that has a 25′ range so that you can conduct training exercises and establish good habits from a distance.

Qualcomm introduces Toq smartwatch to join the growing trend of wearable tech

toqI guess one of the main highlights of this year’s IFA 2013 would be the fact that smartwatches are set to make a splash in the consumer electronics industry pretty soon, although whether they would make it big or not is another thing to consider. After all, there are no guarantees that the smartwatch would end up creating an explosive niche market, but neither are there ominous signs that the smartwatch industry is headed for a failed direction. In fact, Samsung’s Galaxy Gear was announced to great aplomb, while we also have Qualcomm announcing their Toq smartwatch. I know right, who would have thought that Qualcomm would have rolled out a smartwatch instead of the next hot mobile processor.

The Toq smartwatch is tipped for a Q4 release sometime later this year, where it is meant to function as a second display to your smartphone. Sporting proprietary Mirasol display technology, you can be sure that the Toq smartwatch is a sight to behold, thanks to a revolutionary reflective, low-power display which allows an always on viewing experience. Not only that, the Toq smartwatch is a snap to juice up whenever its batteries start to run low, thanks to wireless charging capability by Qualcomm WiPower LE technology as well as a true stereo Bluetooth audio experience.

Toq has been described to be “always on, always connected, always visible wearable technology” that offers users a ‘Digital 6th Sense’, informing you of what you need to know and when you need to know it with a single glance of your wrist. It will definitely do its bit in letting the Mirasol display’s capability shine, not to mention showcasing WiPower LE and stereo Bluetooth technologies. It is said that the color capacitive touchscreen display will be able to last for days before the battery runs out of juice, and juicing it up is a snap as well, where the Qualcomm WiPower LE technology opens up the door for a true “drop and go” charging experience.

The Toq smartwatch will play nice with Android 4.0.3 and above mobile devices when it rolls out. Would you settle for this or the Galaxy Gear from Samsung?

LG sports a new 77-Inch Ultra HD curved OLED TV to wow the masses

lg-ultra-hd-oled-curveJust how much larger do you think that TVs in the living room will get eventually that having a projector around is redundant just for screen size alone? We are not quite sure where the glass ceiling is set in terms of measurements, but one thing is for sure – LG has just edged closer to a new record. In fact, their latest offering comes in the form of a 77” Ultra HD curved OLED TV that might just set the tone for the next-generation TV market. You might get a sense of deja vu out of reading this, but that is because the South Korean consumer electronics giant rolled out a 55” curved OLED TV earlier this year at CES, leaving this 77” monster to debut at IFA 2013 instead.

Havis Kwon, president and CEO of LG Home Entertainment Company, shared,“LG was proud to be the first company to commercially launch an OLED TV and we are once again setting our sights high with the ULTRA HD CURVED OLED TV. This 77-inch TV is proof that we will never stop pushing the boundaries and exploring new possibilities.”

Needless to say, this bad boy from LG would clearly make it the largest OLED TV in the world at the moment, not to mention being the new flagship from LG at the moment, boasting some of the most advanced next-generation TV features in a single chassis. It measures a whopping 77” diagonally, where the large screen’s IMAX-like curvature would ensure that you, the viewer, has a field of vision which is filled more completely compared to a conventional flat-screen TV.

Not only that, it will also merge with LG’s exceptional WRGB OLED and ULTRA HD technology, which would let it deliver infinite contrast ratio and resolution that amounts up to four times greater compared to regular Full HD. No idea on pricing, but chances are pretty high you have got to pay for this through your nose – and more!
