Ted R Rated Talking Plush

Did you watch the movie Ted last year? If you have (and even if you have not, but find this animated teddy bear to be extremely cute although it can be rather obnoxious), then you might want to get the $14.99 Ted R Rated Talking Plush to be part of your comfort toys collection. The Ted R Rated Talking Plush certainly lives up to its reputation, and will feature 5 phrases from the Ted movie, such as “Yeah, I mean, y-you know when you sewed me up you put some of the stuffing in the wrong places so I’m – I’m a little f—ed up, but will you take care of me for ever and ever?… Aha! I’m just kidding you! I thought it’d be funny if you thought I was f—ing retarded.” to “You ever hear a Boston girl have an orgasm? ‘Oh yeah! Oh yeah! Harder! Harder! Oh, God, that was so good! LG Curved OLED TV up for sale

So, you think that your spanking new flat screen TV in the living room is the bee’s knees, making you the talk of the neighborhood? Sorry to say, bub, but having the largest display in the vicinity is not going to cut the mustard any more these days. LG might have stumbled upon something new to the market that could very well kick off a revolution where TVs are concerned, with the announcement that their 55-inch (54.6-inch diagonal) Curved OLED TV (also known as Model 55EA9800) has gone for sale in its home country, South Korea, and deliveries are tipped to begin from next month onwards. This bit of news does make you want to make a move over to the country that gave us keen competitors to normally reliable Toyota vehicles, and of course, Gangnam Style.

From next month onwards, over 1,400 LG retail stores in South Korea will start to take orders and deliver them to the masses. These premium TVs have been slapped with a KRW 15 million price tag – and when converted, it would amount to the region of $13,500 thereabouts. You can already see the kind of second hand car that you can drive in exchange for such money, no? Having said that, LG’s Curved OLED TV’s availability announcement would give LG the distinction of being the first and only company to commercialize both the flat screen OLED TV as well as the Curved OLED TV, which ought to provide LG with a significant lead in this market segment.

The new LG EA9800 model would sport the industry’s very first curved screen ergonomic design, where it offers an “IMAX-like” viewing experience right smack in the comfort of your own home. Thanks to over five years of research when it comes to developing the optimum curvature, the entire screen surface is equidistant from the viewer’s eyes, which does away with the issue of screen-edge visual distortion and loss of detail. Anyone interested in this? You might want to start saving up from now on.

Phoenix Portable Bluetooth Speaker

If there is one aspect of portable speakers which should always be there, then size would be it. After all, if it is too large or bulky to tote around, surely it is not considered to be “portable” enough, don’t you think so? Firebox has something up their sleeves with the £59.99 Phoenix Portable Bluetooth Speaker, and it is hoped that you do not judge the device by its size. After all, Firebox claims the Phoenix Portable Bluetooth Speaker to offer a whole lot more bang for your hard earned buck, where it delivers incredibly loud audio despite coming in a small form factor.

Do not be fooled by its exterior at first glance, where it sports tight curves and a shapely figure, this is still one perky little portable Bluetooth speaker. Since it operates using Bluetooth connectivity, there are no cables required to have it pumping out your favorite audio via its pipes, giving you more than an adequate amount of space to dance around the room. Needless to say, it works best with Bluetooth compatible devices within a 20 meter radius, and will come in blue and black shades, depending on your choice.

Extra Large Number Readout Scale

Not all scales are created equal, and the same applies to this particular scale from the folks over at Hammacher. As you very well know, the older one gets, different parts of the body start to break down, and your vision is not quite on par with that of an eagle’s during your youth. Having said that, aren’t you happy that there is modern day technology to help counter some of these aging effects? The $59.95 Extra Large Number Readout Scale answers this clarion call, where it will display whatever results garnered in giant numerals for easy reading.

The entire bright LCD screen measures nearly half a foot wide, where it will display readings in massive 2.5″ high numbers which can be viewed without requiring you to squint or stoop down. Your back and neck are further protected as you do not need to bend down to turn on the scale, where a simple tap of a foot on the platform is good enough. The readings will be shown off by the display for five seconds after you step off, and after another 10 seconds, the scale will automatically power down in an effort to conserve batteries. As long as you do not weigh more than 440 lbs, the Extra Large Number Readout Scale ought to serve you well for a lifetime.

30 Day Lantern

Do you love the great outdoors? Is camping one of your favorite past times? Well, if you have answered in the affirmative, then you might want to check out what Hammacher has in store for you, especially for those who love to prepare for the unexpected. The $59.95 30 Day Lantern should be made a compulsory purchase for just about anyone who would like nothing better than to get away from the concrete jungle and spend their time in the great outdoors, just like how Calvin’s dad does in the comic strips, more often than not being left awash in a downpour.

The 30 Day Lantern is special, because as its name suggests, it is capable of delivering up to 30 days of reliable light, and you will not find Iron Man’s arc reactor powering this puppy, as all that is required is a single set of batteries to get it going. The lantern itself sports a trio of 1.4-watt LEDs that sip but a fraction of the energy required by traditional bulbs, hence enabling it to produce 720 consecutive hours of light on its lowest setting with a mere three D batteries. Talk about being power efficient, no? It even comes with a green LED which will flash whenever the device is turned off so that you can locate it easily in the event of a blackout.

Electronic Guitar Shirt

Some of us just have this natural tendency to jam with the rest of like minded folks in a band, while others do not have the luxury of doing so. On the other hand, there is also another group of folks who would love nothing better than to drink in all of the limelight, being a real soloist. However, to reach such dizzy heights, you would first need to have the kind of mad skills that would put even the likes of Slash to shame, and what better way than to get plenty of practice in before you actually show your talent off to the rest of the waiting world? You might as well do so with air guitar riffs, but it is time to throw down the gauntlet and settle for something more mature – like the £29.99 Electronic Guitar Shirt.

Granted, most of the best guitarists in the world happen to be slim, perhaps because they exude so much energy on the stage, that they burn all the calories and then some (such as post-concert nookies and such). Still, we would like to ensure that the Electronic Guitar Shirt is all inclusive, hence it would come in large, medium and small sizes for folks from all walks of life to be able to have an equal chance at making it big in the music scene after they have gotten sufficient practice on the Electronic Guitar Shirt.

You can now be a guitar god at any time of the day, regardless of where you are, where your greatest asset (apart from your mad guitar skills, of course) would be the Electronic Guitar Shirt that you are wearing. Don’t be like all of the other rock stars who think nothing of ripping their shirt apart – if you do so, you can kiss your budding busking career goodbye. After all, it is cheaper than purchasing a real guitar, and right now when you are just starting off, you need all the help you can get, including cheap musical instruments.

Sporting a fully playable integrated guitar, it has literally no strings attached. Heck, the manufacturer even threw in a mini amp with tone and volume knobs, and that will slip into a pocket in the hem. All you need to do to impress the crowd would be the strum away using the included magnetic pick, and watch the money come flowing in. Whatever the case is, the Electronic Guitar Shirt does need washing after soaking up all of your sweat during your performances, just remember to remove the batteries before you hand wash it, and never ever iron over the plastic area. Oh yeah, carrying a quartet of spare AAA batteries would be a good idea, too.
