Over 1 million Samsung HDTVs sold in the US last month

US Samsung TV sales top 1 million per month

If it wasn’t busy enough selling millions upon millions of smartphones, Samsung’s TV department has proven it’s no slouch either, with a record 1.15 million sets sold last month in the US alone. After noting “potential demand for super large TV,” Samsung’s focusing its attentions on the 75-inch ES9000 to help it sell the next million. Trumping its first million-selling month one year ago, it’s pretty good going at a time when plenty of viewers are now happily settled with their HDTV setup.

Samsung’s New 75-Inch HDTV Is a Beautiful Beast [Televisions]

Cue the ohhing and ahhing. Yesterday Samsung unveiled its new crown jewel—the ES9000, a 75-inch gorgeous giant of a TV. With a super-sharp display and a barely-there bezel, it’s hypnotizingly beautiful. More »

Samsung 75-Inch flagship TV boasts of gesture controlled Angry Birds Smart TV app amongst others

You know something? We humans have very basic needs, but the list of wants – now that becomes a little bit tricky. After all, the world has so much to offer, and basically anyone with enough money or power (usually both) are able to live out an extremely hedonistic lifestyle. Assuming you have been dreaming of a TV upgrade in your living room for the longest time already, and told yourself that you want to blow your budget this time around without being bothered by the financial consequences, what are some of the options at your disposal?

I would certainly tout Samsung’s latest flagship TV – we are talking about 75 inches of diagonal viewing goodness here, where the ES9000 LED Smart 3D TV is said to offer a larger-than-life, extra-premium experience alongside a timeless new design concept which will boast of a beautiful rose-gold-colored finish. All of this crammed into a form factor that is extremely slim at 0.31 inches for its curved bezel without any visible seams, and I can safely say that you’ve got a winner here.

Not only that, the Samsung ES9000 LED Smart 3D TV will also come with it, another first in the industry. We are looking at a totally new Angry Birds App for Samsung’s Smart Interaction-enabled TVs. This means you can now fling those emo avian friends using nothing but gesture controls sans the need for a controller. It might take some getting used to at first though, since most of us are so used to flinging those birds across the sky (and space) using a touchscreen display. Angry Birds is said to come as a free download later this month on the Samsung 2012 LED 7500 and up models and Plasma 8000 models. If you have more patience, a dedicated app for Angry Birds animated content will be available later in 2012 as well.

Expect the Samsung ES9000 LED Smart 3D TV to hit the general market later this August for a cool, cool price of $9,999.

Samsung 75-inch ES9000 smart TV makes stateside debut: on sale in August for $9,999

Samsung 75inch ES9000 smart TV makes stateside debut on sale in August for $9,999

The mammoth 75-inch ES9000 LED smart TV that Samsung recently unveiled for the Korean market is making its way stateside. Today the 3D-capable, LED-backlit set was on display in New York as part of the Sammy-sponsored SpaceFest marking the Space Shuttle Enterprise’s arrival at the Intrepid. How smart TVs relate to Space Shuttle orbiters is beyond us, but the ES9000’s US debut is welcome news for those with a massive living room to fill, and were disappointed after the ES8000 75-incher shown at CES and even given a price tag earlier this year failed to materialize.

Detailed specs are currently MIA, but as we noted before in our hands-on, the 75-incher’s bezel measures just 0.31 inches, and the frame sports a rose-gold finish. There’s also a built-in web camera that retracts when not in use, and the TV comes with four pairs of 3D glasses. Being a smart TV, this guy also includes the full suite of Smart TV features, such as Smart Interaction for enabling gesture and voice controls and Smart Content for sharing media across several devices. Samsung also used today’s occasion to introduce a new Angry Birds app for its smart TVs, which lets users play the game entirely with gesture controls. The app will be available for a free download later this month, and the ES9000 will go on sale in August for a super-sized price of $9.999. Check out the PR below for more info.

Samsung Launches 75” Super Screen Premium Smart TV, ES9000

Samsung launched its new premium TV ES9000 in Korea on July 2. As a Samsung’s flagship smart TV to tap into the global large screen premium TV market, ES9000 features a 75 inch super screen with luxurious design in rose gold color. ES9000 also adopts Super Ultra Slim Design to reduce its bezel to mere 7.9mm. The definition qualities greatly improve in clearness, contrast and brightness by adopting Diamond Black Panel to provide best visual qualities in the ultra-sized screen. Furthermore, …

Samsung announces 75inch ES9000 smart TV for Korea, priced at $17,424 eyeson

Anyone looking to fill half of their lounge with Samsung LCD just got a new size to choose. The 75-inch ES9000 is the bigger brother of the ES8000 that we saw earlier this year and ahead of the official launch in Korea, we managed to get an early eyes-on at a Samsung event held yesterday in London. In short, if you loved the LED-backlit display of the 55-inch model, you’re going to adore the ES9000, which features the same smart TV brains alongside a retractable webcam unit housed on the top edge. The picture was pleasingly rich and sharp — presumably due to the aforementioned backlighting and the ES series’ edge-to-edge design. The bezel is a mere 7.9mm and Samsung has decided to coat the frame in a gentle Rose Gold coating which, due to the TV’s slightly shady location, was a little trickier to pick out. That premium finish is matched by a premium price tag, however, and will hit checkbooks for 19.8 million won (around $17,450). Despite the UK appearance, retailer John Lewis (which hosted the event) couldn’t confirm whether retail models would be coming to its stores in the future. But if you can afford 75 inches of TV, you can also afford a quick flight to Seoul to pick one up.
