Video Game Book Covers Will Make Your Collection Look More Literate

Video Game Book Covers Will Make Your Collection Look More Literate

We spotted an N64 mod just a few days ago that we felt would combine your love of video games and reading into one easy-to-use console, and today, we have something else that would go perfectly with your N64 Book Case mod. It’s video game book covers.

The video game book covers are custom covers that were created by JamesBit that make your not-so impressive video game library look absolutely stunning as these covers will look like books, but will secretly hold your game inside of them for when you get the urge to play some games. (more…)

Zelda 3D Spiritual Stone Replicas Can’t Be Bought with Rupees

Are you a Zelda fan? I mean a real Zelda fan? If you love The Ocarina of Time, then these are for you. Check out these amazingly beautiful replicas of the Kokiri Emerald, Zora Sapphire and Goron Ruby. Shiny!

These replica Spiritual Stones measure about four inches across and are cast from resin. They will look great used in your cosplay, or even just sitting on your desk. Heck, wear them with your regular clothing and see who can spot them for what they are.

These replicas are double-sided so they are completely three-dimensional. While the Goron Ruby and Zora Sapphire are identical on front and back, the Kokiri Emerald has a different pattern on the back.

You can get the set of three $150(USD) from Etsy shop The Legend of Cosplay. They also make miniatures in necklace form for just $30 each.

Detailed Batman Cowl Replica: Will the Real Adam West Please Stand up?

There’s cosplay and then there’s COSPLAY. If you’re serious about your costuming, and you’re into Batman, then you’ll want to start pinching your pennies now. Unless that is, you’re Bruce Wayne – then you can already afford to buy this stitch-perfect Batman cowl based on the one that Adam West wore in the 1960s TV series.

Each cowl is handmade by Williams Studio 2, and is as accurate as anything I’ve ever seen. It’s made from custom dyed Lastex, with a fiberglass shell, paint, foam, leather, and snaps to hold it in place. The pattern for this mask was made using a show-original cowl as a reference, and even the color of the eyebrow paint was Pantone-matched to the original.

Apparently, this thing is so perfect that Adam West himself owns one of these replicas. If you’d like one for yourself, you’re going to need to pony up $1,500(USD), but that’s chump change to Gotham’s number one billionaire, right? While you’re on a spending binge, why not grab an Adam West head to go with it?

Custom Optimus Prime Mask: Steampunks in Disguise

This awesome Optimus Prime steampunk mask is an amazing piece of art. You can wear it or just put it on a shelf. If you do wear it, it has a voice changer built in. This means awesome adult playtime coolness and fun. This mask makes Optimus a robot in disguise, who is in disguise again, with a steampunk makeover.

It may have started out as one of these cheap toy masks, but it’s pretty special now. I love the antiqued finish, and the bolt and rivet details are super nice.

Etsy seller CaptainBayley says that this mask is being offered for a limited time only. It is just $143.13(USD). That’s not a lot to ask, especially since this means that you can finally start that Steampunk Transformers movie you’ve been meaning to make.

Game Of Thrones House Sigil Bow Ties: Game of Bows

Ever since Doctor Who made bow ties cool, they have shown up in all kinds of forms. The latest in bow tie fashion are these Game of Thrones house sigil bow ties. I can’t exactly see Eddard Stark (for obvious reasons) or, well, anyone from Westeros wearing one. Still, you can enjoy them.

These neat bow ties are made by Etsy seller 2Marys and come in House Lannister, Baratheon, Stark, Targaryen and Arryn styles. All you have to do is choose your sigil and wear it proudly.

They will cost you just $10(USD), which isn’t too bad at all. Unless you pay the iron price, of course.

TARDIS Ukulele: More Musical on the Inside

We’ve seen the Time Lords many times throughout countless Doctor Who episodes. However we know very little about their culture. What do they like to do for fun? What kind of music do they like? Do Time Lords play the ukulele? Who knows? I do know that if you play this TARDIS ukulele, it should strike a chord with you.

While the body of the uke is clearly the Doctor’s TARDIS, I love how they also snuck the Doctor Who logo into the head stock. It is from Etsy seller celentanowoodworks who makes each one to order. In fact, they will honor any request no matter how weird it is. Just tell them and they will build it – assuming it’s a ukulele, that is.

    tardis ukulele1
The TARDIS uke will cost you $700(USD). Sure, that’s a lot of dough, but you will have the geekiest ukulele around. Except maybe this one. Or this one.

Nintendo Controller LED Wall Art: A Gamepad for your Pad

Looking for something classy to hang on the wall of your man-cave? Something that screams video game geek, but has a classy feel? Well, this Nintendo Controller LED Light Art may be just the thing.

    nes controller wall art 1a

Etsy artist TheDailyRobot experimented with a lot of laser engraving and LED lighting configurations before he was able to offer this amazing edge-lit laser-etched light piece. Ultimately, he laser etched a piece of clear acrylic and placed it behind another identical non-etched sheet to get the cool effect. It looks fantastic.

The NES controller glows a bright red, but he does have other colors available if you so desire.  This light is only $75(USD) and would look great in any geekily decorated room.

Alien Facehugger Wall Clock: Time to Die

When you have the Alien Facehugger clock on your wall, your days are numbered. When you have a clock like this it doesn’t really matter what time it is. The important thing is that you get the hell out of there and avoid getting facehugged by it.
    facehugger
This awesome sculptural clock was created by Rockstar Games artist Chris ‘Eddie Escher’ Edwards. He used polymer clay, wire and plastic to make it. It’s hand-painted and lacquered, and the clock has a quartz movement and glow in the dark hands. Oh, and it looks like it could crawl off of the face of clock easily and hunt you down.

If you happen to live in the UK, you can check it out in person at the Rapture Gallery at 2 Westmoreland Street in Harrogate, North Yorkshire. You can buy it for about $310(USD), assuming you can live with this thing on your wall.

Custom Steampunk Link Action Figure (Hy)rules

This awesome custom Link action figure has it all. Look out Ganon. You are about to have a very bad day. This amazing custom figure was made by KodyKoala, who wanted to explore what the Zelda games would be like if they were set in a steampunk universe.
    link figure
After seeing this, I believe that he should be the one to populate that universe. He wanted to make a futuristic Link, but still keep some of the classic things that we all love. He also wanted to have a fun way for Link to carry all of his inventory. It looks like Link has about fifty some items he is carrying here.
    link figure1
It took a lot of parts, so it ended up being a more expensive than he wanted. But that is why it looks so good. This figures stands about 6 inches tall. You can buy it for $300(USD) in his Etsy shop.

Double-barrel Pistol-grip Sawed-off Shotgun BBQ Grill: The Smoking Gun

Bang! Your meat is done. This sawed-off shotgun grill is the manliest grill you will see all day. Just load your meat up in the chamber and start cooking.
    shotgun grill
This grill smokes out of both barrels as if you just fired. And you did. You fired a shot full of smoky delicious flavor. It takes a five gallon tank of fuel in the pistol grip – this one time it’s okay to mix guns and propane tanks. It also has some nice wide wheels for your next beach party in the sand.

    shotgun grill1
It will only cost you $9,550(USD) from California artist firesculptureart. As far as I’m concerned, that’s a bargain for a huge sawed off shotgun that cooks meat and smokes out of the barrels. And if shotguns aren’t your weapon of choice, they offer a few other gunshaped BBQ grills.
