You see that speck at the top of the mountain? That’s snowboarder Matt Annetts standing on top of a 3600 feet tall mountain face that’s so steep it looks completely vertical. And he’s going to snowboard down the whole damn thing. And you get to watch him. And yeah, it’s nuts. Breath evaporatingly nuts.
Terrifying. Skydiving is already brown your pants scary when you’re conscious. Imagine being unconscious while you’re falling from 12,500 feet in the air. Think about all the horrible things that could happen. That’s what happened to skydiver James Lee. Luckily, miraculously, thankfully, impossibly, he survived the fall.
Sure the constant bzz bzz buzz of a drone would get annoying. And of course the invasion of privacy thing is a little bit of a concern. But man, it sure looks fun to see all your life’s exploits get recorded from the angle of the all seeing eye of the drone. Just watch this video captured with a Cinedrone by Antimedia. Life never looked so fun.
It’s amazing the new tricks that people can just invent with their bikes. Once you think that everything has been done before, someone decides to murder the laws of physics. This new trick though might be more impressive because I’m getting the spins just looking at it. How does the rider manage to land such a violent combination of a front flip and forward bike flip in one leap? Amazing.
Imagine yourself stuck in traffic. Imagine listening to some Top 40 radio station playing the same 4 songs over and over and wondering about the things you would do if you didn’t have to commute. Imagine your brain numb. And then imagine seeing some psycho bike rider pull off some bike tricks off of a half-pipe on top of a moving truck. In the middle of traffic. That would be fun for everyone.
A regular old skateboard isn’t fun enough for you? What about nine skateboards attached to each other to form a complete circle skateboard? It’s the goofiest way to move on wheels since your chance of falling off is infinitely more likely and well, just look at the damn thing.
The end of the year is here and hopefully you did something awesome in 2013. And if you didn’t, that’s okay because you have one more day to get crazy. Actually, you have a brand new year ahead of you to do something memorable. Luc Bergeron compiled 253 YouTube videos that popped up in 2013 and made this incredible mashup video showing humans doing awesome things.
Do you have trouble sticking to workout regimens? Maybe you start off strong for the first couple weeks, but then you start missing them here and there until, eventually, you realize there’s a you-shaped cavern in your couch. You’re in good company. But there’s a tool that our own bodies produce that might just be the missing ingredient. In fact, it can literally make you addicted to your workouts.
We no longer live on Earth, my friends. We’re in some weird world where people can do the impossible. Do you want to fly? You should try. Do you want to spin in the air in both directions? I think you can. Because this insane Superman double backflip bicycle trick destroys everything that should be humanly possible. The rider does a full back flip while fully extended in a Superman pose, somehow re-gathers himself onto the bike and then does another full back flip. All in one jump. Sweet.
What are limits? Nothing to Aaron Fotheringham, also known as Wheelz. He can do more tricks with his wheelchair than you can with a skateboard. Fotheringham has been using a wheelchair full time since he was 8 and has worked with Box Designs Wheelchairs to better tweak his custom chair so he can do more tricks. Incredible.
