Video Earrings Are Small LCDs That Hang From Your Earlobes

Considering how much we enjoy taking our content on the go as we can play games, watch videos and listen to music all from our mobile devices, we wonder what took so long to bring this technology to our earlobes. Actually – we didn’t wonder that, but apparently the creators behind Video Earrings did, and have created a product that is pretty much two small LCDs hanging from your earlobes. (more…)

This week’s Tokyoflash watch comes in maple and sandalwood (video)

    DNP Tokyoflash

Tokyoflash’s busy horologists know no bounds when it comes to designing watches. The company’s latest timepiece is an update to last year’s bee-friendly Kisai Zone that sports wooden cases and straps. Each of the three available woods is married to its own LCD color for the screen — dark sandalwood’s is black, red sandalwood goes purple and maple snags a blue readout. Speaking of which, it doesn’t look like anything has changed compared to the first Zone’s watch face. It still features a standard battery that lasts “at least a year,” a funky hexagonal display (hours on top, minutes in the middle and seconds on the bottom) and an Indiglo-like backlight. If you fancy wearing part of a giving tree on your wrist, you can snag one of these for $99 if you act within the next two days.

    If Girls Were Internet Browsers

This isn’t the first time someone was inspired to design women’s fashion based on web browsers, and it probably won’t be the last.

Photographer Viktorija Pashuta wanted to combine fashion and technology and came up with this fashion editorial that’s called What If Girls Were Internet Browsers?

And combine them, she did. With the help of stylist Chalia Young, Viktorija brought her ideas and concepts to life. Apparently she wanted to bring out the functionality of each browser aside from just their colors and I think the models did a pretty good job at doing this.

For instance, Internet Explorer is flashy, Firefox sexy, Opera elegant, Chrome utilitarian and Safari – trendy/hip.

Plexus Shirt Concept Morphs to the Occasion

Many are on the constant search to find the perfect shirt. Not just any shirt, but the shirt for all occasions – something that can be worn to work and donned for a night out. Of course, you’d still have to layer on cardigans or accessories in order to make the full transformation, but what if I told you there’s a shirt that can literally morph into anything you want it to?

    Plexus

Designed by Vernon Chen and Joanne Lim Jin Xuan, the Plexus is made of pixelated, color-changing nano-magnets (is this possible? It might be, in the future.) These tiny components allow each panel to be able open like a louver and provide ventilation too.

It’s a reactive, interactive shirt as it morphs and changes color and design based on its wearer’s surroundings and agenda.

Sounds pretty amazing, right? The big catch is that it’s just a concept design… at least for now.

Mermaid Leggings: There’s Something Fishy Going On Here

Mermaid Print LeggingsIt used to be that fishnet stockings were the ultimate thing for long, sexy looking legs. We have finally moved on — just a little bit. We’ve left the net behind and become the fish. With these skinny mermaid leggings your gams will take on all of the allure of the mythical maidens and the depths of the sea itself.

InStyle Essentials: Shop For Women’s Clothing By Bra Size

Regardless of how fashion savvy a woman is, she is well aware that bra
size can greatly impact the way that her clothing fits. Unfortunately,
sizing up or sizing down made necessary by chest size doesn’t mean that
the clothing item will fit in a flattering manner as intended.

Plexus Concept Shirt Will Change Based On The Occasion

When it comes to outfits, there’s usually an appropriate outfit for every occasion, such as one worn for sports, one for work, one for formal meetings, and etc. However if you’re the sort of person who’s schedule is packed to the max, constantly changing seems rather inefficient, not to mention it could rack up a pretty expensive laundry bill, so what do you do? Well the Plexus concept could be the answer to your problem. This shirt concept was designed by Vernon Chen and Joanne Lim Jin Xuan where the shirt will be able to morph into an appropriate look based on the occasion.

The designers imagine that shirts of the future will be held together via pixelated nano-particles and will be able to adapt to the wearer’s surroundings. In the video above, the shirt morphs from a casual running shirt to a coat/shirt/tie look. Granted the final result is hardly the most appropriate for formal business meetings, it is still a pretty awesome concept nonetheless. Of course it is safe to say that this shirt does not exist yet, but what do you guys think? Perhaps switching from casual to formal isn’t the best idea, but if you’re looking to switch up design or colors during the day, the Plexus shirt concept might do the job.
