Touchscreen Friendly Fingernails Turn Every Digit Into a Stylus

If you’re a fan of long fingernails you’ve probably already developed special techniques for using touchscreen devices. But Sri Vellanki, the creator of a fingertip stylus called Tech Tips, feels women shouldn’t be limited to what technology they can use because of their fashion choices. So she’s developed a touchscreen-friendly fingernail that works like a high-precision stylus. More »

Nano Nails Makes Fingernail-Smartphone Use A Reality This May

When touch-screen devices were thought of, it was much easier for them to have our fingertips to manipulate these devices than it was our fingernails. Seeing how many people tap things with their fingertips rather than their nails, we could see another reason why that’d be the ideal input method for touch-screen devices. But we admit there are a number of you out there who enjoy long fingernails and would love to be able to use them to interact with your touch-screen device rather than tilting your finger up in order manipulate with your smartphone.

Nano Nails is looking to make the dream of using your fingernails to interact with your smartphone or tablet a reality by placing a stylus under your fingernail. Nano Nails’ manufacturer will make their fingernail add-on available in full press-on nail or as a nail tip accessory in a package of four or six for approximately $10. You’ll be able to place the Nano Nails on yourself, or you can go to a salon in order to have them put on.

Nano Nails should be released this May, which is just the right time for you to pick them up along with your Spring / Summer design, that is, if you take your smartphone use serious and would prefer to interact with it with your nail rather than your fingertip.

Nokia Lumia screens tout Synaptics tech for gloveson use, 920 adds outdoorfriendly brightness

Everyone who regularly deals with cold winters knows the pain of using a smartphone in January — you’re usually forced to take your gloves off and risk frostbite if that call just can’t wait. Nokia’s new Lumia 820 and Lumia 920 phones bring in a Synaptics ClearPad Series 3 sensor whose responsiveness will keep those hands toasty. Super Sensitive Touch, as Nokia calls it, lets the capacitive surface react to more than just direct skin contact: it can recognize input through gloves, as well as from those with long fingernails. You’ll want to spring for the Lumia 920 if you envision updating Twitter during a sunny skiing trip, however. On top of that extra-large 1,280 x 768 resolution, the 920’s PureMotion HD+ display is reportedly about 25 percent brighter than its next-best rival. We’re looking forward to a real field test — not to mention preserving all the feeling in our fingers.

Breaking Bad Fingernails Make a Meth of Girl’s Fingertips

The season five premiere of Breaking Bad aired last night, and if you watched it then you know that it was as good as it has always been (I won’t spoil it for those of you who still haven’t seen it.) The show is as addictive as the meth that Walter and Jesse make after all. A lot of people like nail artist Kayleigh O’Connor have just recently started watching the show. She caught up fast of course. AND she decorated her fingernails for the season premiere.
Breaking bad nails
Wow, she must really love the show. Her nails all have some of the show’s elements, like the logo and some fake “Blue Sky” meth. Walter White would be so proud.

Watching the entire first four seasons within a short period of time pretty much ruined her work schedule, so she deserves some cool nails.
