Halo 4
After more than a decade the Halo series is still going strong, although development has moved from Bungie to 343 Industries. Fans shouldn’t let that switch worry them however, as Joystiq’s review assures it is a “decadent show of strength” for the series that lives up to its predecessors in single player, co-op and multiplayer. A new co-op mode that’s updated weekly will also probably help find some allies instead of foul-mouthed adversaries should you choose to head online. There’s a trailer after the break, but we’re pretty sure you already know if this is the game for you.

Entourage The Complete Series
If you’d like to see every season of Entourage in HD, this is your chance. The complete series is coming to Blu-ray (yes, before The Sopranos) and anyone who caught it during its run on TV can attest to the sharp visual style and always timely soundtrack. Vince and crew have never looked better, and at $140, it’s not too expensive for serious fans to enjoy.

Firefly 10th anniversary

Check out the official site for more info and a chance to unlock more exclusive clips, and tune in Sunday night to relive all the action. Lighting Fixture Puts Fireflies on Your Ceiling

When I was growing up, one of my favorite memories was that of tiny fireflies buzzing about my backyard in the Summer evenings. But for many years of my adult life, I ended up living places where there were none of the luminescent insects. Only recently have I started seeing them again, but certainly not in the quantity I used to see them in my childhood. While I’m not likely to hang this lightning bug lighting fixture in my own bedroom, it looks like it would be a wonderful addition to any kid’s room.

This ceiling-mounted light is made up of green plastic leaves, with little LED illuminated fireflies hanging out on them. The illuminated bugs twinkle and shimmer as your kids look up to the ceiling and drift off to sleep. All told, it’s got 7 light-up bugs, and can be turned on and off with the included remote control.

As an added bonus, the whole thing runs on battery power, so you don’t need to worry about having electrical wiring done, and you could hang multiples all over your ceiling if you want. The Firefly lighting fixture sells for $34.99 (USD) over at ThinkGeek, and it’s the next best thing to seeing actual fireflies in your backyard.

Seven-Foot Long LEGO Model of Serenity Made of 70,000 Bricks

Damn. We see plenty of amazing things here at Technabob, but this has to be the best LEGO ship in the universe. This amazing reproduction of Serenity in LEGO bricks measures 7 feet-long. It’s also 135 pounds, is made of 70,000 bricks, and it took 475 hours (spread over 21 months) to complete.

Adrian Drake, its builder, is my new LEGO God. I will build an altar with LEGO bricks and worship him. Seriously. I’ll try to do it tonight if I have time. Drake used the Serenity Blueprints Reference Pack from QMx as a starting point. He converted it to LEGO and tried to make it as accurate as possible. It looks pretty darn great to me.

Inara’s shuttle even detaches so she can go meet her clients. And the wings actually swing and move. The cargo bay and drive both light up. Shall I go on? There are also custom minifigs of the crew. I can’t stop WANTING this. Check out many more images of the LEGO Serenity over on Flickr.
