A strange sporting contest is currently taking place in the Ducth city of Eindhoven. The town is currently home to about 40 teams of robots that are playing soccer. The tournament, which has been dubbed RoboCup is looking for the best in sports androids. The eventual goal, to beat human players.
When it comes to starting fires for your camping trip or your summer outdoor entertaining it isn’t always so easy to get that traditional wood fire going. It is the Tentsile Stingray tent and it is designed to be used either on the ground or suspended in the trees. It is the brain-child of tree house designer Alex Shirley-Smith, in partnership with product designer Kirk Kirchev. The idea was to make a simple, lightweight, portable tree house using minimal materials. The result is an other-worldly looking design.
The Freeloader is a child carrier with a twist. Unlike
traditional carriers, which are made basically just for babies, the
Freeloader can hold a child of up to 80 lbs. It fits on the adult like a
backpack and has a lightweight, fold-down seat at the back.
