The new track is a good one too. Located in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, Road America is a is one of the best race tracks in the U.S., with lots of great elevation changes, challenging blind spots, and some good long straightaways.

The track is integrated into the Career mode of the game. Players can also play the new track in rivals mode and multiplayer events. The track promises spectacular details from the real track with long straights for high speeds and challenging corners. The track is available at no cost to download right now.

Forza 5 Trailer Hails The McLaren P1

Most people I know would love to earn an insane amount of money while doing what they love, and at the same time, spend like there is no tomorrow since money is extremely easy to come by. Well, that would include living it up in the best homes, swankiest neighborhoods, and driving the newest supercars that have just been revealed. Perhaps the majority of us are unable to earn such a keep throughout our entire lifetime, so the closest we can come to driving a supercar without begging our rich friend to lend us their ride would be to play a video game. We’re glad to know that Forza 5 has just introduced a new behind the scenes video that discusses the power and the glory of the McLaren P1, which will succeed its predecessor, a legend in its own right.

The McLaren P1 was also the star of a really interesting old-school animated trailer, where Microsoft marketing strapped a camera to the hood of one. Bear in mind that Forza Motorsport 5 happens to be an Xbox One launch title (and the console itself is due for a release not too far away from now), where the title will boast of 200 cars. Enjoy the video above that clocks in at slightly more than four minutes, and you will be wiping away drool from the edges of your lips afterwards.

Forza 5 Team Says Xbox One Cloud Servers Deliver 600% AI Performance Boost

Forza 5 Team Says Xbox One Cloud Servers Deliver 600% AI Performance BoostWhen the Xbox One was announced sometime in the middle of this year along with all the juicy details, one of the games mentioned was Forza Motorsport 5, which proved to be quite a stunner. Since beauty is only skin deep, a car racing game would work even better when you have AI that acts more like a human driver than a computer, which is what Forza 5 is set to deliver when it arrives on store shelves (although you will still need to download a bunch of data after installation on your Xbox One before the game can run prim and proper). (more…)

Xbox One cloud servers offer equivalent to 600 percent AI processing boost, claims Forza 5 team

Xbox One cloud servers offer equivalent to 600 percent AI processing boost, claims Forza 5 team

Microsoft already talked up how the cloud component of its Xbox One console will work, but now we’re hearing of the benefits from the dev’s side. The verdict is certainly positive so far, with Dan Greenawalt, creative director for Forza 5, extolling its virtues, citing it as a “tremendous opportunity” in a recent interview with OXM. His team has been using it to take care of a lot of the AI elements in the game — such as its Drivatar system — which he claims would usually take up about 10 – 20 percent of the console’s processing power. By letting the cloud deal with it, however, it can spill out into much greater complexity, with Greenawalt claiming a boost equivalent to “600 percent” of the actual Xbox’s brains. This, in turn, freeing up the 10 – 20 percent it would have used for something else. Bold statement, of course, but with the early signals looking good, this is one feature we’re glad still made the cut.

I am not quite sure about you, but whenever I purchase a game in the form of a physical disc and have installed it, I would have expected it to run right out of the box. Or at least, that […]
