Hasta La Gadget!

I used to scrapbook—yes, I used to take the time to shape photos and
place them over decorative and themed backgrounds and then write
paragraphs of descriptions on each page. That was well before I had
children, when I had time to print pictures and when I had time to sit
and look at them. Since photography has gone digital, my hope has been
to compile photo books for each year’s worth of photos, but I’m seven
years behind schedule. And apparently not up to speed with a new form of
capturing life’s moments. Shapify allows you to create three
dimensional figurines of you and your family. Now you can turn yourself
into an actual 3D selfie.

There is no right and wrong when creating original art, and for Israeli artist Nirit Levav, inspiration came in the form of discarded bike chains and man’s best friend. Her life-size dog sculptures are examples of upcycling at it’s finest and most creative.

Who wouldn’t want a giant fluffy, furry round monster taking up some
corner of their of their home? Well, okay, there are some people who are
so conservative that they wouldn’t want this in their home, but to be
honest, I don’t know very many of them. The Gigantic Hairy Fish Ball ‘Moyee’ is a wonderfully amusing piece
of functional art by Singaporean designer Jason Goh, and comes from
one of his childhood daydreams.

Christmas has long been known for one of the great gateways to holiday romance — the sprig of mistletoe. An aerial drone bearing the festive fungus recently made an appearance over the crowds at Union Square in San Francisco. Couples young and old delighted in the impromptu appearance and began locking lips when it hovered their way. It was a totally 21st century take an old holiday tradition.
