A menorah is a special candelabra lit for eight nights during
the Jewish celebration of Hanukkah, a holiday that commemorates the
re-dedication of the Temple in Jerusalem. The holiday is a joyous one,
so it is not surprising that there are many that celebrate our
relationship with our pets and our admiration and appreciation of wild

Every year around the holidays, we are warned not to share our yummy
meals with our pets. They can get very sick from eating our rich food,
