There’s nothing like putting on your Sunday finest, breaking out your cello, and walking into the ocean for an orchestral concert. That might sound strange to you, but for Australian artist Andrew Baines, it sounds like just another day at the office. His living sculptures juxtapose normal people in strange and unexpected settings, usually involving sand, surf, and a healthy touch of Surrealism.

5000 prototypes to one finished product. I don’t know how many
prototypes went into each of the flying machines created by the Dyson
engineers for this year’s Challenge Dyson, but they sure came up with some strange-looking ones – all made from Dyson product parts.
Ever since they created a precise and puzzle-like cardboard mannequin in
1998, Japanese model making studio d-torso has continued to impress art
and design fans around the world with their ever-expanding series of
intricate cardboard replicas.
