Who’s on First? Competing Santa Trackers: NORAD vs Google

Who's on First? Competing Santa Trackers: NORAD vs Google Perhaps not as funny as the classic 1938 comedy sketch "Who’s on First?"
popularized by Abbott and Costello, but it does bring a smile to one’s
face when anybody is able to give Google a run for their money. Such is
the case when the Northern American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD)
backed by Microsoft and Bing take on the Granddaddy of search engines in
a face-off that pits one Santa Tracker against another.

Feeling Cagey? Plasters Nicolas Cage’s Mug on Random Instagram #Selfies

There’s just something about Nicolas Cage that inspires people to create memes, apps, and even eyeshadows in his likeness. The latest one is called “Feeling Cagey?” and it inserts a little bit (or rather, a whole lot) of Nicolas Cage in each and every selfie it finds on Instagram.

The website basically parses through Instagram’s live feed and automatically tacks Nicolas Cage’s mug on people’s faces. It’s silly, it’s weird, and in a way, it’s strangely addicting.

Ex-Men: Professor-X Fires Nightcrawler

Comedian Pete Holmes is at it again with another Ex-Men video. In the series, he dresses like Professor-X and fires some underperforming X-Men mutant. The last time I mentioned one of these videos it was the incredibly lame Jubilee that was getting the axe.

The new video sees Nightcrawler getting shown the door. Professor X brings up something I’ve never really thought about, what exactly does the smoke Nightcrawler leaves behind when he teleports smell like? Apparently, the answer is something stinky. At one point, Professor X says it smells like the Predators dreadlocks. I laughed hard.

As with all the other Ex-Men videos, it’s mostly a string of insults. In fact, at one point Nightcrawler asks Professor X if his home for mutants was just a ploy so he could lure mutants in and insult them. Professor X replies: “a little bit.”

NASA’s Hilarious Response to Mentos and Coke Rocket Proposal

NASA is always out to find new way to propel their rockets. One enterprising geek apparently took it upon himself to send NASA a proposal to power a rocket with a “shit load of Coke” and a bunch of Mentos. Clearly, the letter was meant as a joke, but NASA Associate Administrator Steven Malkovich took the time to respond.

Malkovich told the sender, one Mr. Jones, that it had no interest in his rocket proposal. NASA says there is no practical use for the tech, even if they used a “shit load” of Coke as Mr. Jones suggested. My favorite part of the NASA response is where they point out it takes years of training to become an astronaut.

Mr. Jones had apparently said that he wanted to be a “spaceman” and that it appeared to be so simple even a chimp could do it. You can click the image of the letter to get a better look at the text for yourself. I’m now crafting a much better plan to fuel rockets involving feeding astronauts a steady diet of Taco Bell Chilitos and a flatulence capturing apparatus.

Cats Posing Like Pin-up Girls: Oh, Internet.

Dogs may be man’s best friend, but when it comes to modeling, cats reign supreme. Earlier, we saw a bunch of macho felines posing like male models in this hilarious photo series. This time, we’ve got another series that shows off the feline versatility: sexy cats posing like pin up girls.

These images are iconic, and what’s particularly fun and entertaining is the fact that each of the poses is replicated quite well and accurately by their feline counterparts.

From Homeland To Home Deliveries, Drones Target Afghanistan & The Amazon

From Homeland To Home Deliveries, Drones Target Afghanistan & The AmazonFor those addicted to the HBO’s hit series, Homeland,
the writers have inserted drones into their plot lines almost as if
they were dark villainous anti-heroes. Last season, lead
character Sargeant Brody sought revenge for a drone attack gone sideways
killing innocent Iraqi children. This season the unmanned aerial
vehicle is now used as "eyes on the ground" allowing Brody to seek
covert asylum in Afghanistan…
