Action figures come with all sorts of props, but the Japanese hobby shop Amiami has one prop that you most certainly don’t have in your collection yet. It’s a 1:12 scale restroom. Why? Because your action figures haven’t gone since they were packed in their box. Think about that.
It comes with a toilet, a sink, a couple of urinals, a toilet paper holder, a trash can, a floor, walls and stickers. I don’t know what the stickers depict and I don’t want to know.
You can order the miniature restroom from Amiami for about $25 (USD). Then check your action figures for the action figure that holds its pose best, the proper stiff one. The constipation is strong in that one. Make him sit on the throne first.

In one of the most iconic scenes from American Psycho, murderous young turk Patrick Bateman waxes psychotic about Huey Lewis and the News. It’s funny, it’s weird, it’s unsettling. But watching Huey Lewis and Weird Al Yankovic create the bizarro world version of that scene? Well, okay, it’s all of those things, too. More »
Spotted At WonderCon: Drabbits!
Posted in: Today's ChiliGals, if your guys are still teasing you because of your stuffed animals, it is time to get them on the plushie bandwagon with some animals of their own. These adorable, umm, well, formerly adorable critters may be just the thing. They are soft, squishy, and . . . seriously squashed. These toys are not for the faint of heart, but they are for those with a seriously twisted sense of humor.
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you know that today is April Fool’s Day. Many of the items we’re posting on the site today aren’t real – but some are. This is one product that falls into the former bucket, but I so wish were in the latter.
The guys at Sphero have announced an epic new version of their smartphone-controlled ball, called the Sphero Peacekeeper Edition. It weighs in at a whopping 150 pounds, and measures 3 feet in diameter. And it’s totally a prank. Or is it?
Despite the obvious safety concerns, the idea of a 150 pound spherical robot companion sounds great to me. Just imagine how quickly you can clear out those long lines at Walmart. And forget about ever losing a bowling tournament again.
While it’s pretty clear the Sphero Peacekeeper Edition is an April Fool’s prank, I’d still order one if I had $10,000 to spare, and from the looks of things up on their indiegogo campaign, at least one person has actually pledged to buy one.
Pterosaur Named After 9-Year Old Girl Who Discovered It: Daisy the Explorer
Posted in: Today's ChiliWhile some of you are out thinking of April Fools’ pranks to pull off, 9-year old Daisy Morris just had a newly discovered prehistoric flying reptile named after her. The pterosaur is called Vertidraco daisymorrisae, and Daisy is what we call a winner at life.
According to the BBC, Daisy actually made the discovery back in 2009, when she was only four years-old. Daisy and her family were strolling along Atherfield Beach in the Isle of Wight in England when she stumbled upon a few small bones. They searched the nearby area and found a few more bones, then they had their find examined by a fossil expert named Martin Simpson. Below is an unofficial mirror of the BBC report on Daisy:
A paper that was published last March 2013 by Simpson and two other researchers cements Daisy’s legacy, citing among other things the pterosaur’s name and its etymology. Daisy now has the rare privilege to bring nothing but herself for show and tell.
