Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 Heading For MetroPCS 25th November

Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 Heading For MetroPCS 25th NovemberWhile the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 might not necessarily be Samsung’s largest phone in their portfolio at the moment, it is possibly their highest specced and most expensive so far. Well the good news is that if you wanted a large screen device but didn’t want to fork out for the Galaxy Note 3, you’re in luck because MetroPCS has announced that they will be offering up the Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 starting from the 25th of November. Subscribers will be able to get their hands on the device for $349 after a $100 rebate, and an additional $50 rebate if they were to buy it in the store, making the device a somewhat affordable large screen handset if you did not want to be tied to a contract.

The handset will be pretty much the same device as the one we reviewed earlier this year, meaning that customers can look forward to a 6.3” 720p HD display. This large screen coupled with the HD resolution means that pixel density will not be as sharp as the Galaxy Note 3’s Full HD, but it’s a matter of preference and also budget. It will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor and will come with 8GB of onboard storage with support for microSD card memory expansion. It will pack a 3,200mAh battery, and will sport an 8MP rear-facing camera, a 1.9MP front-facing camera, and will come with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean preinstalled.

Sprint Launches LG G2, Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 And Galaxy S4 Mini

Sprint Launches LG G2, Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 And Galaxy S4 Mini

Sprint customers are in for a treat this month. The carrier has launched a number of popular Android devices. This time around, it also got the new Nexus smartphone. That’s right, the new Nexus 5 is available from Sprint now. Apart from that particular device, Sprint has also launched the LG G2, Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 as well as the Galaxy S4 Mini. Current and prospective Sprint subscribers have a lot to choose from now.

The Nexus 5 and G2 are made by the same manufacturer, LG. The G2 is priced $199.99 with a two year contract, it has a 5.2 inch full HD display, a 2.3GHz quadcore Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor with 2GB RAM, 13 megapixel rear camera, 32GB onboard storage and a 3,000mAh battery. Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 is also priced $199.99, it has a gigantic 6.3 inch display, a 1.7GHz dualcore processor with 1.5GB of RAM, 8 megapixel camera, 16GB onboard storage and a 3,200mAh battery. Last but not the least, the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini is priced $99.99 with a two year contract, it has a 4.3 inch qHD display, 1.7GHz dualcore processor, 1.5GB RAM, 8 megapixel camera, 16GB onboard storage and a 1,900mAh battery. Sprint sweetens the deal a bit more for subscribers switching over from other carriers, its knocking off $100 of the price of these smartphones. Which means that the LG G2 and Galaxy Mega 6.3 will cost those customers $99.99 whereas the Galaxy S4 Mini will be free on contract.

Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3, Galaxy S4 Mini Available On Sprint Nov. 8

Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3, Galaxy S4 Mini Available On Sprint Nov. 8

Just the other day, everyone’s favorite leaker, @evleaks, revealed press renders of what looks to be the Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 for Sprint. It looks like the device’s release was much closer than we originally anticipated as Sprint is not only announcing it’ll officially be carrying the Galaxy Mega 6.3, but they’re also announcing details on the Galaxy S4 Mini’s availability. Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 For Sprint Leaked

Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 For Sprint LeakedIf you’re in the market for a device with a big screen but don’t want to drop the cash for the high-end Samsung Galaxy Note 3, the Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 should do the trick and thanks to a recently leaked press render, courtesy of the ever reliable @evleaks, of the handset, it looks like the phone will be headed for Sprint, although at this point in time there is no word on when the phone will launch (we’re hearing that an early November release is possible) or how much it will cost on contract, but given that the phone is priced $530 (street price), we expect it shouldn’t cost too much on Sprint.

For those who might need a little refresher on the device, the Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 will sport a massive 6.3” 720p HD display. While its display appears to be decent, it will be powered by a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor clocked at 1.7GHz. Granted this is not a processor to be sneezed at, it is a pity considering that most devices these days come packed with a quad-core processor. In any case it will include 1.5GB of RAM, 8GB or 16GB storage options that can be expanded via microSD, an 8MP rear-facing camera, and will come with a decently sized 3,200mAh battery. The phone will also run on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean but should be receiving the bump to Android 4.3 in the near future.

Sprint Galaxy Mega 6.3 Render Leaks

Sprint Galaxy Mega 6.3 Render Leaks

It was back in August when Samsung announced that the Galaxy Mega 6.3 phablet will be headed to Sprint, apart from AT&T and U.S. Cellular. Announcements regarding the pricing and availability were to be made by carriers, and Sprint still hasn’t revealed when the phablet will be available for its customers and how much they’ll have to part with. Though it seems that Sprint might finally be gearing up to launch the phablet. The press render of Sprint Galaxy Mega 6.3 has leaked online.

Both U.S. cellular and AT&T are already selling the Galaxy Mega 6.3 to their customers, Sprint has kept itself out of the fray for quite some time now. AT&T sells the phablet for $149.99 on contract, while Sprint is yet to announce the pricing for its model, though one can expect it to be priced around the same level. It can easily be said that the Galaxy Mega 6.3 is probably one of the largest phones that Samsung has ever made, its not a traditional 7 inch tablet, its basically a smartphone with a gigantic display. The phablet has a dualcore Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with 1.5GB of RAM, an 8 megapixel rear camera, LTE compatibility and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
