Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 Pre-Order Listed At €699

Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 Pre Order Listed At €699The Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 has yet to receive an official announcement from the good folks over at Samsung just yet, and there are already plenty of news – rather, should I use rumors, considering how most of these are not substantiated at all, circulating around concerning the upcoming large screen smartphone. Word on the street has it that the first retail price of the Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 has already been published in Germany, where you could always drop €699 to place a pre-order for this phablet.

Just to know what you are going to receive for dropping that kind of money, the Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 will arrive with a 6.3” PLS HD resolution display, where it is accompanied by an 8-megapixel shooter at the back with a 2-megapixel camera in front, in addition to a dual-core 1.7GHz processor, 1.5GB RAM, Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity, Wi-Fi 80211 a/b/g/n and A-GPS support. To compensate for the overly large display, there is a 3,200mAh battery, as the Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 chugs along to Android 4.1.2 or 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. Time will reveal additional details concerning the Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3, I am sure.

Samsung Galaxy Mega is official and comes in 63 and 58inch sizes

We knew Samsung was planning more devices, but we didn’t expect the arrival of two Galaxy Mega smartphones at the same time. Both are apparently headed to Europe some time next month, continuing to prove that Samsung are willing to test out any screen-size. The 6.3-inch model has an ‘HD display’ (we’re chasing the precise resolution, though it’s likely 720p) alongside a dual-core 1.7GHz processor, Android 4.2 and an 8-megapixel camera. Software features like Air View, Multi Windows, Pop-up Play will make sure you have plenty to do on that giant screen. The Galaxy Mega arrives somewhere between Samsung’s Galaxy Note 8 and Galaxy Note II, although we’re hoping it’ll be priced slightly more humbly than either neighbor. The Galaxy Mega 6.3 houses LTE and HSPA radios, while you’ll get GPS and GLONASS to aid any location-based antics. There’s a 3,200mAh battery and internal storage that can be expanded by microSD up to 64GB, with 8 or 16 gigs (there’s two models) built-in to begin with.

The HSPA-only Galaxy Mega 5.8 reduces the size — and pretty much all the other specs. The resolution drops down to qHD (960 x 540), while it packs a lesser 1.4GHz dual-core processor. It has the same 8-megapixel camera, while the smaller, er, Mega, will arrive in only one size — an 8GB model. No word on pricing for either yet, but the Ubergizmo team has already got the chance to handle the Korean manufacturer’s 6.3-inch goliath. Take a look at their first impressions at the More Coverage link.

Update: Samsung has confirmed to us that the resolution on the 6.3-inch model is in fact 1280 x 720.

Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 Specs Leak Prior To Reveal [Rumor]

Samsung has been rumored to be working on a Galaxy Mega phone, and today, we’re hearing about the mysterious device’s rumored specifications. Specifically, we’re hearing about the rumored Galaxy Mega 6.3, which is rumored to be equipped with a 6.3-inch PLS HD display, dual-core 1.7GHz processor, an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 2 megapixel front-facing camera. It should also have 1.5GB of RAM, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, A-GPS and a 3200 mAh batter.

Samsung building mid-range phone with 6.3-inch display, says ETNews

Samsungs rumored Galaxy Mega 58 or 63inch budget phones get detailed

Korea’s ETNews doesn’t have a flawless track record with Samsung leaks, but it’s hoping to revive its reputation with this latest sliver of gossip. It’s suggesting that the company is going after those people who think the Galaxy Note is a bit on the weeny side by releasing the 6.3-inch Galaxy Mega. The device, which is codenamed “Project Möbius,” is likely to come with a dual-core Exynos chip, 8-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel shooter up front. On the other hand, SamMobile has thrown out a bucket-load of specs to say that we could see a 5.8-inch Mega with a low-res 960 x 540 display, a 1.4GHz Exynos CPU and 1.5GB of RAM. We get the sense that neither device is coming with bleeding-edge specs and will instead slot into the mid-range tiers of the company’s product lineup — assuming they exist at all. Either way, at least we’ve managed to get through a whole post without using the word “phablet”… damnit!
