Earlier this year at the Mobile World Congress 2013, Samsung announced the Galaxy Note 8.0. This was the Korean manufacturer’s second Galaxy Note device, after the previous 10.1 inch one which had been announced at 2012′s MWC. The device has been designed in a way that makes usable with just one hand, while maximizing the pen experience. Its powered by a 1.6GHz quadcore processor with 2GB of RAM and has an 8 inch 1280×800 display. The Galaxy Note 8.0 has only been available in White so far, but reportedly it is getting another color soon. “Brown Black” is said to be the new color in which Note 8.0 will be available by mid-June.
The source claims to have received this information from Samsung Benelux, which oversees Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands.They weren’t able to provide product photos as yet but did mention the release date. Its slated for week 25 of 2013, which roughly puts the release date in the middle of June. Galaxy Note 2 Brown Black color will be available for the 16GB Wi-FI and 3G variants. That’s not all, only recently it was rumored that the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 might also come in red and grey shades. Lets see which ones make it through to the public.

Take for instance, when there is the presence of the drawing mode icon, one is able to change the pen type, color of the pen, and the pen thickness and draw a heart on the word ‘my boyfriend’ (this is just an example), which would definitely go a long way in personalizing the entire user experience. Not only that, the voice memo feature would also pave the way for voice recording capability.
There is a wide range of S Note templates, ranging from meeting notes to graphs, recipes, and travel diary, which would make the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 the ideal companion for just about any situation. The presence of the Samsung S Pen has evolved to increase everyday usability and enhance creative expression, being that advanced that users do not even have to touch the screen in order to figure out just which icon is used for what. Thanks to the inclusion of Air View, all users need to do is hover their S Pen over the screen in order to check out previews of videos and photos, and to figure out what is inside the file or application in full.

We have already taken the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 for a spin in our comprehensive review, so if you were wondering whether this is the device that should be next on your shopping list, why not check out what we think about it before dropping some serious coin on it? Well, earlier this month, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 rolled out Stateside as well as across the pond in only one color – the hugely popular white, but it seems that Samsung has other plans in store for the Galaxy Note 8.0, with whispers of it arriving in red and grey colors soon.
German retailer CyberPort has already listed the Galaxy Note 8.0 in grey and red, and unsurprisingly, both versions of the device is not yet in stock, while the photo that depicts the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 is that of the white variety. Perhaps the lack of official images can be attributed to this, and it is also not out of character for Samsung to introduce different color versions of a similar device sometime down the road after an initial launch.

As you can probably tell from the review that published earlier this morning, today is when Samsung officially unveiled its Galaxy Note 8.0 for the U.S. market. Even though we already knew what to expect from the Galaxy Note 8.0 from Samsung’s unveiling at MWC 2013, Samsung is announcing where and when you can pick it up, and of course for how much.
The Galaxy Note 8.0 will be available two days from today on April 11 across a number of major retailers such as Amazon, Best Buy, h.h. gregg, Newegg, P.C. Richard & Son, Staples and TigerDirect for $399.99 MSRP. Accessories for the Note 8.0 will be available in mid-April and will include Book Covers in white, grey, pink or green, as well as USB and HDMI adapters, and a microUSB travel charger. (more…)
