More Galaxy Note 8.0 Photos Hit The Web

galaxy note8 photos More Galaxy Note 8.0 Photos Hit The WebWell, well, what do we have here? It is not even a couple of days after the world managed to take a gander at leaked spy shots of the Galaxy Note 8.0, and here we are with even more photos of the Galaxy Note 8.0 arriving, in even clearer shots than what we have seen so far, thanks to French Android community Frandroid. In the photos leaked, you could see the Galaxy Note 8.0 being placed side-by-side with its smaller 5.5-inch sibling that the world calls the Samsung Galaxy Note 2. The Galaxy Note 8.0 remains true to the previously leaked images, where the tablet itself sports a curved design and a phone-style three-button setup located at the bottom bezel, ditching the usual on-screen keys layout.

Apart from that, there is also a larger “S Pen” stylus that was docked away, accompanied by an earpiece located at the top that comes in handy when you want to make calls. Not only that, the latest batch of leaked photos depict the Galaxy Note 8.0 as running on Samsung’s TouchWiz UI while having a “phone-style” launcher that does seem to be taking the same road as the stock tablet launcher found in Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, and we do expect to see Samsung’s multi-window tech arrive on the Galaxy Note 8.0 out of the box, too.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Reportedly Caught On Camera, Inherits Design Language Of Galaxy Note II

tab4_b_7733

Samsung’s Galaxy Note 8 is rumored for an official unveiling at Mobile World Congress next week in Barcelona, but this week it’s been the subject of a lot of rumors and speculation ahead of release. Today, there’s a new leak from Italy’s DDAY.it that purports to show the Galaxy Note 8 in action in the hands of an actual user. The pics are a lot more convincing than the SamMobile leak of a brochure shot of the same from earlier in the week, with a design that’s reminiscent of Samsung’s most recent smartphones.

The Galaxy Note 8 that’s apparently depicted in these photos looks essentially like a blown up Galaxy Note II, with a rounded rectangle shell framing an 8-inch display. Down at the bottom of the bezel you see a physical home button, framed on either side by a back button and what looks like a multitasking button as touch-sensitive keys. You can also see a front-facing camera, as well as a rear camera without a visible flash. There’s also an S-Pen holster integrated into the bottom right of the rear casing, as you can see in the first image above.

The Galaxy Note 8 is supposedly going to arrive with 2GB of RAM on board, with the front camera pegged at 1.3 megapixels, and the rear at 5 megapixels. The display is supposed to be around 1280 x 800, which, while not mind-blowingly dense, still beats the iPad mini with 189 ppi vs. 163 ppi for Apple’s smaller tablet. A report from earlier this week suggest it will have a 1.6GHz quad core processor under the hood.

A MWC unveiling makes sense for this device, since Samsung showed off the Galaxy Note 10.1 with S-Pen at the event in Barcelona last year. And this design, while different from the SamMobile leak from Tuesday, bears a striking similarity to that device, meaning one or the other likely represents a slightly different pre-production design.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Confirmed

05 samsung logo Samsung Galaxy Note 8 ConfirmedSo, the rumors are true – Samsung has just confirmed that the Galaxy Note 8 is very, very real, where this will be a smaller version of the Galaxy Note 10.1 and will in all probability, challenge the iPad mini’s space in the smaller tablet market segment. This bit of information was confirmed by a Samsung executive to a group of reporters, and chances are the Galaxy Note 8 will debut at a trade show next month – anyone out there who wants to take a guess against the grain and say that it will not be Mobile World Congress as the launch platform?

The Galaxy Note 8, as its name suggests, will come with an 8” display and is a wee bit larger than the 7” Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0, even eking out the iPad mini by 0.1”. So far, Samsung has done a pretty good job in keeping details of the device secret, including its specifications and features, but we do know that the Note range’s trademark stylus will remain. Will it ship with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean right out of the box then? The answer would be most likely, and we cannot but wait to look forward to MWC 2013.

Samsung GT-N5100 Could Be Galaxy Note 8.0

samsung galaxy note 8 Samsung GT N5100 Could Be Galaxy Note 8.0Wait a minute here, something cannot be right. How can Chinese website VR-Zone claim that the Samsung GT-N5100 be the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 on an official basis? After all, aren’t we just at the Galaxy Note 2 at this point in time where naming conventions are concerned? Well, there is a reason for the Galaxy Note 8.0 moniker, which would clearly be a ridiculously large-sized phablet at 8” when it comes to the screen size instead of 7.7” as previously rumored, although we believe it would be classified as a tablet instead.

Hmmm, 8” with a resolution count of 1280 x 800 pixels does not sound like much considering the size, and it will come nowhere near Retina Display quality, although there are whispers of an S Pen stylus accompanying it. Other rumored specifications and features include a quad-core 1.6GHz processor, 2GB RAM, a 5-megapixel shooter at the back, a microSD memory card slot, and a 4,600mAh battery, all running on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. Sounds like this is a direct competitor to the iPad mini.
