Samsung Galaxy Pro Series Of Tablets Could Launch On Valentines Day

Galaxy-Note-Pro-UI-01Earlier this month during CES 2014, Samsung took the wraps off their Galaxy Pro series of tablets, such as the Galaxy Note Pro and Galaxy Tab Pro. However despite the devices being announced, availability is still a question Samsung has yet to answer, but perhaps all will be revealed come Valentines Day. This is according to a leaked internal Samsung memo which seems to suggest that the South Korean tech giant might have something big to announce. The memo seems directed towards Samsung’s field reps and employees that work in Samsung pop-up shops, suggesting that this might have to do with a product release rather than a product announcement, like the Galaxy S5 which was rumored for a pre-MWC announcement.

In any case it will be nice to see the tablets made available, especially given that some of the tablets announced do pack some pretty impressive hardware, which is nice change on Samsung’s part whose previous tablet offerings have hovered between low-end to mid-ranged, making it difficult to compete against the likes of other tablets offered by other Android OEMs and of course Apple’s iPad. Either way we’ll keep our eyes peeled for more information regarding the Galaxy Pro series’ release, so be sure to check back with us in the near future for more updates! In the meantime who’s planning on getting their hands on Samsung’s latest series of tablets?

Samsung Galaxy Note Pro and Galaxy Tab Pro Series – hands-on review

Samsung Galaxy Note Pro and Galaxy Tab Pro Series – hands on review
Today at CES, Samsung unveiled its new tablet lineup and its flagship 12.2-inch Galaxy Note Pro. The Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2-inch features the same chassis which is a hair thinner due to the absence of the S-Pen. The Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 and 8.4 get the same display resolution, no S-Pen and the same product design packaged in smaller form factors.

The Galaxy Note Pro boasts a beautiful WQXGA (2560×1200) touch display, a quad-Core Exynos 5 (Wifi only) or a Quad Core Snapdragon 800 (LTE version), 3 GB RAM, 32 or 64 GB of internal storage, a micro SD card slot (up to 64 GB memory expansion), 9500mAh battery, Android 4.4 Kit Kat, IR emitter, and GPS/Glonass.

Alleged Samsung Galaxy Note Pro Specs Revealed In AnTuTu Benchmark

Alleged Samsung Galaxy Note Pro Specs Revealed In AnTuTu BenchmarkIs bigger necessarily better? When it comes to tablets, we have seen the trend go from tablets around the 10” size drop to the 7” variety. While 10” tablets aren’t exactly considered bulky, their 7” counterparts are a lot more mobile and portable, with devices like the Nexus 7, iPad mini, and Kindle Fire HDX doing quite well for themselves. However it looks like Samsung could be headed the opposite direction with their upcoming Galaxy Note Pro which is rumored to sport a 12.2” display, and thanks to recent AnTuTu benchmarks (discovered by the folks at SamMobile), the full specifications of the upcoming device has been revealed, which we guess would ultimately “confirm” its existence.

So what sort of specs are we looking at? According to the benchmarks, the Galaxy Note Pro will sport a 12.2” 2560×1600 display. It will also be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of onboard storage which is expandable via the microSD card slot, an 8MP rear-facing camera, a 2.1MP front-facing camera, and thankfully will run on the latest build of Android 4.4.2 KitKiat out of the box with Samsung’s TouchWiz/Nature UI on top of it. The tablet is also expected to feature the usual connectivity options, such as WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, and NFC.

No word on when Samsung will announce the Galaxy Note Pro, but some have speculated that it will be announced at MWC 2014 which will be taking place in February, so be sure to check back with us then for the details!

Samsung Galaxy Note Pro Rumored For AT&T

Samsung Galaxy Note Pro Rumored For AT&TAccording to recent reports, we have heard how Samsung could be looking to launch new tablets come Q1 2014, and one of those tablets is supposedly that of the Samsung Galaxy Note Pro which is said to sport a 12.2” display, rather odd given that most manufacturers these days seem to focus their efforts on making their tablets smaller. In any case according to a post by the ever reliable @evleaks, it seems as though the rumored Samsung Galaxy Note Pro could be making its way onto AT&T’s network with the model number SM-P907A. Given that AT&T was the first carrier in the US to offer the original Galaxy Note, it wouldn’t be out of question for the carrier to offer the new Galaxy Note Pro as well.

While Samsung has yet to confirm the existence of the Galaxy Note Pro, the rumors circulating the internet seem to suggest that the device is indeed real. The tablet is said to be of the high-end variety and could sport a 12.2”  2560×1600 LCD display with 3GB of RAM and will most likely come with Android 4.4 KitKat preinstalled, witha 9,500mAh battery to boot. Will Samsung announce the Galaxy Note Pro at CES 2014, or will they save it for an announcement at MWC 2014 instead? Either way take it with a grain of salt for now, but hopefully more details will be revealed in the near future.

12.2″ Samsung Galaxy Note Pro Seemingly “Confirmed”

12.2 Samsung Galaxy Note Pro Seemingly ConfirmedWe have been hearing the rumors that Samsung could be prepping a 12.2” tablet which is a bit odd given that tablet manufacturers these days seem to be shrinking their tablets rather than blowing them up, but then again perhaps it could be because of that that Samsung is going in the opposite direction. In any case according to the latest rumors, the 12.2” Galaxy Note Pro tablet has seemingly been “confirmed” in a private Samsung event held in Korea. This is according to a post on a Korean forum that seemingly confirms the existence of the device.

While we have only heard rumors and seen alleged leaked images, the forum posting claims that the 12.2” Galaxy Note Pro will feature similar specs to the Galaxy Note 10.1, and could feature a WQXGA LCD display with a resolution of 2,560×1,600, 3GB of RAM, a 9,500mAh battery, and will run on Android 4.4 KitKat. In any case take it with a grain of salt for now, but if the rumors are to be believed, Samsung will unveil the tablet come CES 2014 which is just around the corner, so check back with us then for the details.
