Samsung Galaxy Note N7000 Getting Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean Update Is Untrue

jb n7000 Samsung Galaxy Note N7000 Getting Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean Update Is UntrueThere are lies, damned lies, and statistics, and as to where the Samsung Galaxy Note N7000 with the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update stands, it would remain in the first two categories. Originally, news bits were going around touting that users in Poland had already successfully downloaded the update using Samsung’s very own KIES software, and coming with it would be the Premium Suite package of applications that was introduced alongside the Samsung Galaxy Note 2. Apart from that, Poland seemed to be the only country of sighting, but since truth always surfaces at the end of the day, this bit of information proved to be nothing more than a misguided rumor, meaning that Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean is nowhere to be found for the Samsung Galaxy Note N7000, and the leaked image that you see above are fake.

As for the future, who knows? Something might come out of this and eventually be true one day. In the mean time, we will just play the patience card.

Samsung Galaxy Note II sales top 1 million in South Korea

Samsung’s latest phablet-style smartphone, the Galaxy Note II, has proven its worthiness over in the states, but what about in the company’s own home land of South Korea? It turns out that Samsung has sold one million Galaxy Note II units in the motherland alone, just over 90 days after launching back in September.

Samsung announced last month that they sold over five million Galaxy Note II units worldwide, and it’s very likely that number has grown since then, and will continue to grow for some time now. Sales of the Galaxy Note II were three times higher than its predecessor as far as early sales numbers are concerned.

The Galaxy Note reached 10 million-unit sales in 10 months after launch, but the Galaxy Note II is expected to reach that milestone in half the time given the current momentum that it has. Samsung says that a variety of new applications along with S-Pen functionality mostly contributed to the continued popularity of the device.

The Galaxy Note II features a gigantic 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display with a 1280×720 resolution. On the inside, there’s Samsung’s own Exynos 4412 quad-core chip clocked at 1.6GHz paired with 2GB of RAM and up to 64GB of internal storage. It also comes packing with a huge 3,100mAh battery for all day productivity.

Samsung adds new iPad, iPad mini and iPod to lawsuit, will peek at Apple / HTC settlement

Samsung motions to add new iPad, iPad mini and iPod to patent lawsuit, gets a look at Apple / HTC settlement

Ready for some more legal mumbo-jumbo? We’re happy to oblige: Samsung is asking Judge Paul Grewal to amend its patent infringement allegations to include Apple’s latest 4th and 5th generation iPad and iPod Touch, as well as the 7.9-inch iPad mini. Sammy says it’s arguing on the side of efficiency, noting that the new hardware is up against the very same claims as the iPhone 5 it added to the case last week, asserting that their inclusion wouldn’t be a burden to the court. Grewal, who was expecting this motion, is also being asked to decide if older iPod hardware is covered by Samsung’s original infringement contention, which vaguely described “all Apple products including a built-in speaker and an external audio output port,” as violators. The Judge also recently approved Samsung’s request to sneak a peek at HTC and Apple’s recent settlement agreement. The proceedings seem to keep Grewal and his gavel busy, but at least your legalese loving uncle will have something to drone on about over Thanksgiving dinner.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE Launched In South Korea

It seems that the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE has finally hit the streets of South Korea, where it will run on the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system right out of the box. Unfortunately for the rest of the world, this means that they have yet to receive this particular variant of the tablet that will enable standard voice calls to be transmitted over the LTE data network. Of course, apart from LTE connectivity, what other features on the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE that one should take particular note of? For starters, the multi-window format is a boon for those who want to be as productive as possible, where it displays a couple of separate adjustable windows on the single 10.1” screen, making sure that you will be able to multi-task on a tablet.

Not only that, the Air View feature will also enable folks to browse through photos as well as other items without the need to go through the trouble of searching through different folders. Introducing Easy Clip, one is able to draw on the screen with the tablet’s S pen, and it also comes in handy when selecting and copying text or an image. The rest of the world’s disappointment need not last that long though, as it is tipped to be introduced in the US before 2012 is over – so keep your fingers crossed and eyes peeled!

Court approves addition of iPhone 5, Galaxy S III and Galaxy Note to Samsung v. Apple lawsuit

Those looking for the light at the end of the legal tunnel may want to take a seat: Apple and Samsung’s ongoing patent war just got a bit more crowded. Both sides are fighting to add hardware to their respective patent claims. The U.S. District Court in San Jose is approving these additions too, adding the iPhone 5 to Samsung’s claims and approving the Apple’s updated complaint to include the Galaxy Note and Galaxy S III. More devices could be added, too — Judge Paul Grewal specifically warned Apple to “think twice” before opposing future amendments on Samsung’s part, which might include the iPad mini and 4th generation slate. For better or for worse, never-ending litigation and sticky sales injunctions seem to becoming an unfortunate mainstay of the modern product cycle. We’ll let you know when the ongoing battle poses a threat to your upgrade plans.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 added to Queen’s Royal Collection

Queen Elizabeth II is catching up in the digital age and will be adding the first tablet to the Royal Collection. The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 was chosen as the Royal Collection’s tablet by the Royal Commonwealth Society charity over the iPad, and will house Queen Elizabeth II’s “digital time capsule.”

It’s not said why the Royal Commonwealth Society charity chose the Galaxy Note 10.1 over Apple’s iPad, considering the latter is a defining product in the tablet era, but in any case, the Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet will house videos, photographs, and text submitted by participants who have recounted memories from Queen Elizabeth II’s reign during the past 60 years.

In total, 150GB of data was collected, which is obviously a lot more than what the Galaxy Note 10.1′s max storage space of 64GB can hold. Because of that, the project has been limited to 60 selected entries that were picked by a panel of judges, including the director general of The Royal Photographic Society as well as the Royal Librarian.

More than 37,000 people from 66 countries took part in the project, including Olympic athlete Oscar Pistorius, and even Prince Harry. The most popular submission was the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton, which was submitted by more than 200 people. The tablet will be stored at Windsor Castle as part of the Royal Collection, and will be used by Queen Elizabeth II as a fun way to look back on her 60 years of reign.
