Verizon Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini Press Render Leaks Online

Samsung may have teased the upcoming release of the Galaxy S4 Mini to AT&T, Sprint and Verizon for release some time in November, but its Galaxy S3 Mini has yet to make itself available across all of U.S. carriers. The availability of the Galaxy S3 Mini in the U.S. has been slow, but it looks like may not be waiting long for Verizon’s to be released as @evleaks has just outed what looks to be a press render for the device. AT&T Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini Launches September 27th For $0.99

AT&T Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini Launches September 27th For $0.99

Most of you would probably have forgotten about the Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini, which doesn’t exactly have much in common with its premium sibling, the Galaxy S3. Both of these devices were released last year and have been superseded by the Galaxy S4 and Galaxy S4 Mini. AT&T today announced it will launch the Galaxy S3 Mini on September 27th, the Android powered device will cost $0.99 along with a two year contract.

Pre-orders for the smartphone will be accepted from tomorrow through AT&T’s website. Why AT&T has decided to launch the toned down version of a smartphone that’s an year old and has been left behind by a newer version is impossible to explain. but if you’re out in the market for an Android smartphone that’s virtually free on contract, then the Galaxy S3 Mini from AT&T might make sense to you. The Galaxy S3 Mini has a 1.2 GHz dualcore processor, 1GB of RAM, a 4 inch 800×480 AMOLED display, 8GB internal memory, a 5 megapixel rear camera and a microSD slot. It runs on Android 4.2 on top of which Samsung has slapped on TouchWiz. There’s 4G LTE support as well, so the smartphone will be able to run on AT&T’s LTE network, which the carrier claims to be “the most reliable” in the country.

AT&T Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini Spotted

AT&T Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini SpottedWhat do you think of smartphone companies rolling out a “mini” version of their existing flagship device? Do you think it will save them a whole lot of publicity money since most folks would already have heard about the full fledged device, and hence, need to spend less in developing and cultivating a whole new handset’s perception among the masses? HTC has done it with their HTC One mini, and Samsung more or less got the ball rolling with their Galaxy S3 mini. It seems that the Samsung Galaxy S3 mini is about to make its way to the US thanks to the folks over at AT&T. It is a tad late though, considering how the Samsung Galaxy S3 mini has already been made available in select markets since November last year. Ah well I guess this is a classic case of better late than never!

Serial leaksters @evleaks are the ones behind what you see above, with a visible date of August 23 spotted on the Galaxy S3 mini. If that particular date sounds familiar to you, that is because August 23rd is also the same date when AT&T will begin to sell the HTC One mini as well as the Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3, so we would not be surprised if the Galaxy S3 mini were to be released then, too.

Neo T001 Flatters The Galaxy S3 Mini

Neo T001 Flatters The Galaxy S3 MiniAll right, so we know that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. The thing is, copyright laws will still need to be upheld, so to have a company that blatantly rips off the design of a particular device can be considered as sacrilege. Case in point, the Neo T001 that hails from (where else but) China, which was greatly “inspired” by the Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini. The Neo T001 comes across as a 4” device which clearly resembles the Galaxy S3 Mini, although the specifications are poles apart.

For starters, the Neo T001 will come with a 4-inch touchscreen display at 480×800 resolution, powered by a dual-core 1GHz MediaTek MT6517 processor, carry 512MB RAM, a 5-megapixel camera at the back and a VGA shooter up front, dual SIM capability and a 1,500 mAh battery to keep it going. The main selling point of the Neo T001 would most probably be its price, where it is going for just $65 after conversion in an unlocked format in China.

Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini NFC Edition Coming Your Way

galaxy s3 mini nfc Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini NFC Edition Coming Your WayWell, well, what do we have here? Apparently, there is word that Samsung has deemed the Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini to be worthy enough to carry the NFC mantle, so we can expect a Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini NFC edition headed to the market in due time. The thing is, when the Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini first rolled out in October last year, there was a promise by Samsung to deliver an NFC-capable model of the dumbed down version of the smartphone, but somehow issues cropped up and that did not really happen.

It is nice, then to hear that Samsung intends to fulfill that promise of a Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini NFC edition just like how politicians work hard to ensure their manifesto’s promises go through and become reality before election season arrives. It seems that the NFC-enabled version of the smartphone will arrive before the month is over, sporting the model number I8190N. We wonder how much of a premium one would have to fork out to bring home the Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini NFC edition over the vanilla model.

Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini Arrives In Four New Colors

gs3 mini colors Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini Arrives In Four New ColorsThe Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini was rumored in recent times to come with new colors, and while this tactic worked amazingly well with the Nintendo DS Lite back in the handheld console’s heyday, it might not fare too well with smartphones. Still, you can never quite tell just when a particular marketing move will end up successful, can you? Here we are with word that the Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini (i8190) will soon arrive in four new colors – namely black, grey, red and brown.

This quartet of new shades will not be made readily available for purchase just yet, but they ought to arrive real soon. At this point in time, you can only choose from white or blue colors for the Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini, so having four more color options is more than welcome. Tipped to retail for approximately €350 unlocked, do you think that this particular move will be able to see Samsung shift more Galaxy S3 Minis into the hands of consumers?

Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini Gets Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean Update

gs3 mini Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini Gets Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean UpdateFolks in Asia, Indonesia and Vietnam to be exact, are apparently going to sign off 2012 on a high note. This is because the Samsung Galaxy S3 mini (which will not be sold in the US, by the way, in order to be dropped from the lawsuit that was filed and will go on trial in 2014 by Apple) has reportedly shipped with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean right out of the box.

In fact, it was as recent as last month when the little smartphone that could came with Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean on board, so to hear that it has arrived with this new version is definitely nothing short of encouraging. In fact, Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean is proud to come with its Premium Suite, where a bunch of new features such as Page Buddy, Multi Window, Paper Artist, Group Cast, Smart Rotation, a new customizable notification panel, and a new gallery app are thrown into the mix. What do you think of this development – will you import a Galaxy S3 mini?

Apple Won’t Pursue Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini In Court

galaxy s3 mini firmwarre Apple Won’t Pursue Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini In CourtIt has been reported by Reuters that Apple will be dropping patent claims against new Samsung phone known as the Galaxy S3 mini, but of course, this is not because Apple is still in the spirit of Christmas, but rather, after Samsung claimed that they will not be offering the Galaxy S3 mini for sale in the strategic US market. I wonder whether this will hold true for Apple in other countries where the Galaxy S3 mini is sold, and there is a sizeable presence of the iPhone there.

This particular agreement was disclosed by Apple in a filing on Friday in U.S. District Court in San Jose, California. When contacted, there was no comment from both sides of the divide – representatives for both Apple and Samsung remained mum on the situation. What do you make of this situation – is there some sort of unspoken peace accord that both companies are working towards, or is it a temporary ceasefire? Are you disappointed that the Galaxy S3 mini is not headed to the US?

Samsung Galaxy Note 2 And Galaxy S3 Mini To Receive New Colors

A couple of the more recent Android-powered devices from Samsung, namely the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and the Galaxy S3 Mini, are said to be on the receiving end of new colors in the near future. As far as we know, the general public are able to purchase the Galaxy Note 2 in either Titanium Grey or Marble White at the moment, but the future will see Amber Brown, Topaz Blue and Ruby Wine come a-knocking on our wallets sometime in the year 2013. Having sold over 3 million units, it would seem that the Galaxy Note 2 will not have any trouble remaining as one of the top choices among consumers who prefer phablets compared to regular-sized smartphones. Not only that, the new colors would make for a convenient excuse to your spouse that you need to change your ailing smartphone, no?

The Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini will soon be available in Onyx Black, Titan Gray and Garnet Red from December this year onwards, but assuming things go awry, early 2013 is still a legit date. For the moment, however, you will have to make do with just white and blue shades for the Galaxy S3 Mini. It is tipped that the new colors for both the S3 Mini and Galaxy Note 2 will be showcased by Samsung at MWC 2013.
