Samsung Galaxy S4 To Be Introduced In Russia?

Samsung Galaxy S4 To Be Introduced In Russia?Hmmm, the Samsung Galaxy S3 was first announced officially to the masses in London last year at the Galaxy S3 Unpacked event in 2012, and for next year’s edition, there is a possibility that Samsung Unpacked will kick off in chilly Moscow, Russia. It is said that there is a possibility of the Samsung Unpacked event happening alongside Sochi 2014, which is where the Olympic Winter Games will be held in Russia.

It was not too long ago that Samsung announced a sponsoring partnership with Sochi 2014, and since 2014 is a long way off (relatively speaking, of course, when it comes to the world of tech), but anything remains possible. It was leaked recently that Samsung Unpacked date will be held on March 15. Well, I think that the Galaxy S4 will be released this year, as it would be out of character for Samsung not to refresh their flagship smartphone annually, and the Galaxy S5 should see action in Russia instead. What do you think?

Samsung Galaxy S4 May Feature Touchless Gesture Inputs

Samsung Galaxy S4 May Feature Touchless Gesture Inputs

The Samsung Galaxy S4 has some impressive rumored specs as we’ve heard the device possibly featuring a 4.99″ Full HD AMOLED display, an S Pen and an 8-core Exynos 5 chip. In addition to rumors of its hardware, we’re hearing today Samsung may introduce some new ways to interact with the Galaxy S4 without directly touching it.

The rumor comes by way of Korea’s DDaily and is reporting Samsung is planning to add an Atmel chip into the Galaxy S4, making it possible to process hand gestures within a certain range of the device. The hand gestures would be used to issue commands to the Galaxy S4 without actually touching the device, making a spotless smartphone screen a possibility.

It’s also believed the gesture-based system may make it into future Samsung Galaxy devices, that is, if its Galaxy S4 buyers end up liking the feature. We don’t know about you, but being able to interact with your smartphone and continue eating buffalo wings without worrying about smearing the screen is a future we’ve been waiting years for.

Samsung Galaxy S4 Arrives This March 15th, Goes On Sale In April (Rumor)

Samsung Galaxy S4 Arrives This March 15th, Goes On Sale In April (Rumor)The rumor mill has caught up with the Samsung Galaxy S4 once again, where it seems that Samsung will drop the ball on the Samsung Galaxy S4 this coming March 15th, meaning you won’t be able to pick it up in time as a Valentine’s Day gift for your other half. Word on the street has it that the March 15th date has been confirmed, but the venue of the Samsung Unpacked event remains under tighter security than that of Twitter’s password database.

We do hope to see Samsung start sending out invitations once Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, is over, later this February. On the same vein, it seems that folks living in Eastern Europe will receive the Samsung Galaxy S4 first, before the rest of Europe and Asia pick up the handset at the end of April. Folks living in America, Australia and Africa will be the last in the world to receive the Galaxy S4, citing a May or June rollout date. Well, you know what they say – better late than never.

Samsung Galaxy S4 Rumored For Possible April Launch

Galaxy S IV raffle jpg Samsung Galaxy S4 Rumored For Possible April LaunchThe Samsung Galaxy S4 is probably one of the most highly anticipated handsets of 2013 and so far rumors have been flying around regarding its possible specs and release date. It can be confirmed that at the very least, the Galaxy S4 will not be making an appearance at MWC 2013, so when can we expect it then? Well according to the folks at PhoneArena, they have received photos of an internal raffle document for a New Zealand mobile retailer who states that winners of the raffle will be given a free Samsung Galaxy S4 device. Considering that the raffle will run until the 8th of April, it has been speculated that the Galaxy S4 should be launched sometime around that date as well.

This combined with rumors that suggest that Samsung will be holding an Unpacked event in the US on the 22nd of March seems to further solidify those speculations as well. Either way as is the case with all rumors, they’re best taken with a grain of salt, but we’ll definitely be keeping our eyes peeled for more information so do check back with us at a later date for the details! In the meantime what do you guys think the chances are that the Galaxy S4 will be released in April?

Samsung Expects To Sell 10 Million Galaxy S4 Phones Every Month After Release

Samsung Expects To Sell 10 Million Galaxy S4 Phones Every Month After Release

We’ve heard numerous rumors regarding the Samsung Galaxy S4 over the past few months that could make it quite the smartphone to compete against with its rumored S Pen, screen resolution higher than anything we’ve seen yet and 8-Core Exynos 5 chipset. As of now, nobody knows what exactly Samsung has planned for its Galaxy S4, that is, besides Samsung.

According to a story from South Korean news site Money Today, Samsung seems to be extremely confident in its upcoming Galaxy S4 as the company has set a goal of selling 10 million devices as soon as its made available, and continuing that trend each every month after it’s launched.

Considering it took its Galaxy S3 to sell 10 million units nearly a month and a half after it was released, Samsung might be able to achieve the goal they’ve set for themselves, especially if the rumors about the device end up becoming true. Who knows? Maybe they’ll even be able to sell over ten million units within a month considering just how highly anticipated this device is over previous Galaxy S smartphones.

Samsung Galaxy S4 Skips MWC, Sees US Launch In March Instead

gs4 Samsung Galaxy S4 Skips MWC, Sees US Launch In March InsteadThe next big thing from Samsung when it comes to smartphones would be the Samsung Galaxy S4, and just what do we know about this bad boy? Well, apparently, the South Korean conglomerate intends to hold a major event in the US this coming March to roll out the Galaxy S4, which would definitely be a bummer to those who had hoped for an introduction to the new flagship device from Samsung at next month’s Mobile World Congress.

This bit of information apparently hailed from a South Korean newspaper which touts that Samsung is currently in talks to hold a Samsung Mobile Unpacked event in the US this coming March 22nd, and that would be the date where history is made as the Galaxy S4 is launched. Whispers on the street point to white and black color options, and sales should follow shortly after the launch. Well, what do you make of the March launch date? Better see a little bit of delay and release a decent smartphone, than to rush the release and have the device come with its fair share of bugs and troubles, right?

Alleged Samsung Galaxy S4 Spotted In Benchmarks With 8-Core Exynos 5 Chipset

image7 1 640x273 Alleged Samsung Galaxy S4 Spotted In Benchmarks With 8 Core Exynos 5 ChipsetWord has it that the Samsung Galaxy S4 will most likely be making an appearance later in the year at an event for itself rather than announced at MWC 2013. So far the rumored specs include a 4.99” Full HD display, but apart from that not much else is known about the device. Some have speculated that with Samsung unveiling their 8-core Exynos 5 Octa mobile CPU, there is a chance that Samsung will be using that CPU in the Galaxy S4. It wouldn’t be a stretch of the imagination considering that the Galaxy S4 will be Samsung’s flagship phone for 2013.  Now the good news is that if you were hoping for the 8-core Exynos 5 chipset to make its way into the Galaxy S4, Antutu Benchmarks of the alleged Galaxy S4 (both Korean and international variants) have been spotted (via Rbmen) and sure enough it looks like the phone is running on the 8-core Exynos 5 chipset which has been clocked at 1.8GHz.

The benchmarks have also revealed that the phone will be running on Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean, with other rumored specs including 2GB of RAM and a 13MP rear-facing camera. Now it is not impossible to fake benchmarks but like we said earlier, with the Galaxy S4 being Samsung’s 2013 flagship phone, we wouldn’t be surprised if the South Korean company is going all out on it, especially since their competitors such as HTC and Sony have already got a leg up on them with Full HD, quad-core devices already. Either way since Samsung has yet to confirm the specs themselves, we’ll try not to get ahead of ourselves just yet and suggest that you do the same, but with the release of the phone pegged for a launch later this year, we expect more leaks to pop up from now until then, so be sure to check back with us then for the details!

Samsung Galaxy S4 To Feature 4.99″ Full HD AMOLED display? [Rumor]

FullHDAMOLED 640x425 Samsung Galaxy S4 To Feature 4.99 Full HD AMOLED display? [Rumor]We’re sure that many of you guys are curious as to what the Samsung Galaxy S4 will be like. What sort of design language will Samsung be approaching it with, what sort of hardware, will it feature a bigger screen and etc. Now we know that Samsung is working on Full HD AMOLED displays and during CES, the company had put up several of their displays for, well, display and spotted as part of their lineup is a certain 4.99” Full HD 440 PPI display which Samsung has stated will begin shipping in Q1 of 2013. SamMobile has speculated that it is possible that this 4.99” Full HD AMOLED display could be used in the Samsung Galaxy S4 and while it might be wild speculation on SamMobile’s part, we can’t help but agree!

After all the benchmark has pretty much been set by HTC with the Droid DNA (also known as the HTC Butterfly in international markets) with its 5” Full HD display and a PPI of 440, that and the fact that the Sony Xperia Z also features a 5” Full HD display with 443 PPI, we can only imagine that Samsung would at the very least match the competition, if not beat it, with their next-gen flagship device. However like we said this is merely speculation and there has not been any evidence that Samsung could go the 5” route with the Galaxy S4, so take it with a grain of salt for now but what do you guys think? Could the Samsung Galaxy S4 feature a 4.99” Full HD AMOLED display?

Samsung Manages To Sell Over 100 Million Galaxy S Devices

sgs100k Samsung Manages To Sell Over 100 Million Galaxy S DevicesIt is no secret that Samsung’s Galaxy S-series of Android handsets are its most popular out of the lot. Kicking things off with the first Galaxy S device, followed by the Galaxy S2 and Galaxy S3, and come 2013 it is safe to say that the Galaxy S4 will be one of the most highly-anticipated smartphones of the year. That being said, Samsung has announced that they have hit a milestone which is that they have managed to sell over 100 million Galaxy S devices to date. We’re guessing that the 30 million Galaxy S3 units sold probably contributed to that, especially since they managed to hit those figures within 5 months of it going on sale – a pretty impressive feat no doubt! With Samsung more than likely announcing the Galaxy S4 later this year, we can only expect those numbers to go up even further. What do you guys think? Which Samsung Galaxy S device is your favorite to date? I know some people who actually prefer the Galaxy S2 over the Galaxy S3 – let us know in the comments below!

Samsung Galaxy S4 Could Be Shown Off At CES 2013, But Only For Executives To See [Rumor]

Samsung Galaxy S4 Could Be Shown Off At CES 2013, But Only For Executives To See [Rumor]So we know that the Samsung Galaxy S4 will not be debuting at CES 2013, and a recent confirmation by Samsung has suggested that the earliest we could see the Galaxy S4 would be after May 2013, but this does not mean that the South Korean company will not be shopping the handset around to some of their partners and carriers. Yup it seems that according to reports, word has it that Samsung will actually be bringing the Galaxy S4 with them to CES 2013, but unfortunately the handset will be restricted to the company’s high-profile partners and certain carriers, and that Samsung Electronics’ vice president Jay Lee will be the one who will be showing the device off.

Unsurprisingly it seems that the demonstration of the Galaxy S4 will be done behind closed doors and under very tight security to ensure that nothing is leaked ahead of its release. The report has also suggested that the device Samsung is bringing may not be the final design of the handset, but rather a prototype with some of the rumored hardware which Samsung will be using to provide its partners and carriers with information about the device before decisions are made. Assuming this report is to be believed, it would make sense that the earlier alleged leaked Galaxy S4 press shot might only be a photo of the prototype, rather than its final design.
