Samsung Galaxy S4 Will Not Be Launched Prior To May 2013

samsung logo Samsung Galaxy S4 Will Not Be Launched Prior To May 2013About a week ago we reported on a rumor that the Samsung Galaxy S4 could be seeing a launch in April, and if you were already getting yourself mentally prepared for such a date, you might want to rethink that because according to Samsung, the Galaxy S4 will not be seeing a launch date before May 2013. This does not mean that the Galaxy S4 will launch in May, but it means that any rumored dates before May are most likely false. This official confirmation was taken from Samsung Lebanon’s Facebook page where a Samsung representative answered a fan’s question regarding news related to the Galaxy S4.

We’ve come across an alleged leaked press photo of the handset recently, and according to the rumors, the Galaxy S4 could feature a Exynos 5450 quad-core processor clocked at 2GHz, an 8-core GPU, a 5” Super AMOLED Full HD display, 2GB of RAM, a 13MP rear-facing camera, a 2MP front-facing camera with Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean out of the box. These are merely rumors for now but considering the success of the previous Galaxy S devices, it is not surprising that the Galaxy S4 is a highly-anticipated smartphone.

Samsung Galaxy S4 Press Image Spotted

samsung galaxy s4 Samsung Galaxy S4 Press Image SpottedNow that CES is just around the corner, you know for sure that there are bound to be plenty of official press releases as well as rumors thrown into the mix where the consumer electronics industry is concerned. The Samsung Galaxy S4, unfortunately, would fall under the rumor segment, as it does not seem too likely to be announced officially. Apparently, an alleged press image of the Samsung Galaxy S4 has surfaced, although there is no way to verify that the above image is real.

The alleged Samsung Galaxy S4’s device does seem to resemble the Galaxy S3 (which would be natural) and also the Galaxy Premier, which also adds to the overall authenticity of the device. The lack of a home button as well as thinner bezel around the device makes it future forward. Well, as with the case of most rumors, we would strongly advise you to take this with a rather large pinch of salt as you can never quite tell what is real or not until an official statement is released. Perhaps it is just a “feeler” image released by Samsung on purpose to gauge potential reaction?

Samsung Galaxy S4 Launching April With S Pen [Rumor]

Samsung Galaxy S4 Launching April With S Pen [Rumor]

We caught a glimpse of a Samsung Galaxy S4 concept video earlier this morning, but let’s return from the land of make-believe for a minute to take care of some real Samsung business, shall we? We know many of you, like us, are highly anticipating the reveal and release of the next Samsung Galaxy S device, which may be coming in nearly four months from now and may pack a little surprise if a recent rumor turns out to be true.

According to Korean website Enuri, Samsung plans to launch its Galaxy S4 in April 2013 that sports a 5-inch 1080p AMOLED display, a quad-core Exynos 5440 chip, 13-megapixel rear auto-focus camera and an S Pen, which previously was only made available for Samsung’s Galaxy Note line of smartphones and tablet.

Seeing how Samsung is going to be a total buzzkill and not announce the Galaxy S4 at CES next week, we’ll just need to sit back and wait until they decide to officially unveil their next Galaxy S phone, which if it’s launching in April, may be sometime next Spring.

Samsung Galaxy S4 Concept Looks Stunning

While Samsung will not be unveiling the Galaxy S4 at CES 2013, it is safe to assume that sometime during next year the South Korean company will be taking the wraps off the successor to the Galaxy S3. In the meantime it has not stopped fans and designers from coming up with concepts as to what they think the Galaxy S4 should look like.

This particular concept video by rozetked shows a fictional hands-on video of the Galaxy S4 which according to them, will feature a 2GHz quad-core processor, a Full HD 1080p AMOLED display, a 13MP rear-facing camera, and Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie running the show. This concept Galaxy S4 also comes with rather interesting accessories such as a keyboard dock that will project a laser keyboard which we can imagine will be highly convenient. It looks pretty darn amazing and we would love to get our hands on it if it were real – what do you guys think?

Samsung GT-I9525 Another Galaxy S4 Candidate?

It was just yesterday when we talked about the possibility of the unreleased Samsung Galaxy S4 smartphone appearing on a NenaMark benchmark, although it did carry some sub-par specifications which would make it unworthy of a flagship smartphone from Samsung, and we did explain on why as well. Here we are with yet another candidate which could very well continue where the hugely successful Samsung Galaxy S3 left off – the Samsung GT-I9525, which was spotted on a NenaMark benchmark.

Some of the specifications which were mentioned in the benchmark include Android 5.0 (Key Lime Pie, perhaps?), a 1.8GHz processor (quad-core at the very minimum, we would presume) that is accompanied by the ARM powered Mali-400 MP GPU. Of course, there is no Full HD display here with just a 720p display getting the job done, presumably to throw some folks off the trail. We could be looking at 2GB RAM at the minimum, and hopefully, a more stunning camera will also be in tow. Well, what do you think – is the Samsung GT-I9525 going to be the Galaxy S4?

Samsung Galaxy S4 Is GT-I9400 In NenaMark Benchmark?

The Samsung Galaxy S4 would be the natural successor to the hugely successful Galaxy S3, and over the past few months, we have come across our fair share of rumors concerning a release of the Samsung Galaxy S4 before the middle of 2013, and it might even coincide with LG’s rumored future flagship, the Optimus G2. There were also whispers of the Samsung Galaxy S4 running on a 1080p display alongside a future Exynos SoC, but leaked NenaMark benchmark results could be the first look at in-development Galaxy S4 hardware.

The NenaMark results point towards a Samsung model GT-I9400, and since the Galaxy S3 was known as the GT-I9300, and the older Galaxy S2 being called the GT-I9100, it makes perfect sense to think in this logical manner. The figures do seem to contrast though, citing a 1.2GHz processor alongside a Mali-400 GPU, in addition to a WVGA resolution that would be far removed from what is expected on the Galaxy S4. Perhaps Samsung is using an older processor since an Exynos 5 quad chip is not ready for action yet, and we do look forward to future GT-I9400 benchmark results.

Samsung Galaxy S4 To Get MWC Announcement?

Samsung logoThere are whispers going on at Mobilegeeks that South Korean consumer electronics giant Samsung will lift the veil on their new flagship device, the Samsung Galaxy S4 sometime at the end of February 2013, which means we could very well be looking at a Mobile World Congress debut next year which tends to happen in February at Barcelona, Spain. Mobilegeeks does have a pretty good track record when it comes to rumors, as they also correctly reported about the Galaxy Premier in October.

Needless to say, you can be very sure that the Samsung Galaxy S4, where released, will be a tour de force when it comes to hardware and system specifications. So far, we believe that the new Galaxy S4 will come with a new Super AMOLED display that blows the rest of the competition out of the water, and if rumors of a new iPhone 5S that will launch in early 2013 starting to gather momentum, it would be wise for Samsung to launch a pre-emptive strike with the Galaxy S4.

Samsung Galaxy S4 rumored to use Exynos 5450 quad-core chipset clocked at 2.0GHz

It might be a little early to start the Samsung Galaxy S4 rumors, but given the popularity of the Galaxy S3 and the powerful specs that it has packed under its hood, we guess there are many out there who are eager to see just how the Galaxy S4 will be able to top it. Well according to reports (via DDaily.kr), it has been suggested that the Samsung Galaxy S4 will be packing an Exynos 5450 processor under its hood. It has been suggested that the Exynos 5450 processor will be based on the Cortex A15 architecture and will be clocked at a whopping 2.0GHz.

For those unfamiliar, the Galaxy S3 features Samsung’s Exynos 4412 quad-core processor clocked at 1.6GHz. While this is pretty fast in its own right, it is however based on the Cortex A9 architecture, which means on paper we can expect the A15 to be a much better option. Of course this is merely a rumor for now and should be taken with a grain of salt, but at the same time given the speed at which our smartphones and tablets are improving, we wouldn’t be surprised if this rumor pans out. We’ll keep our eyes peeled anyway but in the meantime, what do you guys make of this?

Alleged 13MP camera module for the Samsung Galaxy S4 spotted

It wasn’t too long ago that rumors of the Samsung Galaxy S4 surfaced. It was suggested that the handset could be unveiled at MWC 2013, although unfortunately it was a rumor that Samsung quickly put an end to by denying it in their official capacity. While it remains to be seen when the Samsung Galaxy S4 will be announced, the folks at Samsung Updates revealed that according to multiple sources, the camera module for the Galaxy S4 was spotted online. This particular module is that of a 13MP camera which allegedly was meant for the Galaxy S3 and/or the Galaxy Note 2 (both devices feature an 8MP camera in case anyone was wondering).

This particular module would allow users to capture images at a resolution of 4208×3120 and measures 8.5×8.5×5.9mm in size. Of course there is no way of knowing if this camera module is intended for the Galaxy S4 but given that cameras are becoming a make or break feature when it comes to smartphones, we would expect that the successor to the Galaxy S3 will feature an improved camera – whether this is in its software, lens or image sensor remains to be seen. We’ll take this with a grain of salt for now but what do you guys think? Will the Galaxy S4 come with a 13MP camera?

The Galaxy S4 exists, the Galaxy S4 does not exist, the Galaxy S4 exists…and so the merry-go-round continues. Although Samsung did come up with an official denial of the existence of the Samsung Galaxy S4 being announced at MWC 2013, there are whispers that this could be very well a cover up, as those who want to believe claim that the benchmark above is proof that the Galaxy S4 exists.

After all, it does seem to depict a new Cortex A15 processor that runs on the Samsung TE4 as spotted by Rightware. The TE4 is said to be a future-forward Android-powered smartphone which will come with a 1280 x 752 resolution display, a dual-core 1.7GHz Cortex A15 processor as well as a Mali T604 GPU, which in all probability, is the Exynos 5 SoC which Samsung announced earlier this year. Of course, all of the above could very well be just a rumor with no basis at all, so we will just have to wait until MWC happens next year which frankly, is not that far off actually.
