Galaxy S5′s 16MP Camera “Confirmed” In Recently Uploaded Photo

samsung-logoBased on what we know about the Samsung Galaxy S5, it is expected to arrive with a 16MP camera in tow. Of course since Samsung has yet to make an official announcement, it’s pretty much anyone’s guess for now. However with the Samsung Galaxy S4 packing a 13MP camera, an upgrade to a 16MP camera for the Galaxy S5 would make sense and would not be a stretch of the imagination. That being said, a recent photo uploaded by a certain @123fliptest to Flipboard has revealed that the Galaxy S5 would indeed pack a 16MP sensor. The photo itself isn’t much to look at since it looks like it was taken pressed against the back of something, but it was the EXIF data that proved more interesting.

Based on the EXIF data, it showed that the photo taken was of the 16MP quality and was taken by a device whose model number is the SM-G900V. However some suggest that by using the 4:3 aspect ratio, what we might be looking at could be a 21MP sensor instead. As it stands many speculate that this is the naming scheme of the Galaxy S5. The SM-G900A is said to be AT&T’s variant so it is possible that the SM-G900V could be the version destined for Verizon’s network. Like we said the photo isn’t much to look at so in terms of quality, it’s hard to say, but either way we’ll keep our eyes peeled for more information, so check back with us at a later date for all the details!

Possible Samsung Galaxy S5 Variant SM-G900H Gets Certified In Indonesia

samsunglogoThe Samsung Galaxy S5 has been rumored to be announced in the near future. In fact last we heard, the rumors claim that it might even be announced ahead of MWC which we guess is a good move as Samsung will be able to bask in the spotlight for a couple of days before the flood of MWC related news hits the internet. In any case while the jury is still out on when the phone will be announced and launched, a certain Samsung SM-G900H has been spotted and certified in Indonesia, which many are speculating to be the Samsung Galaxy S5.

This is because other possible Galaxy S5 variants have made their way to other parts of the world, such as AT&T’s version which is the SM-G900A, the SM-G900F, and the SM-G900S, suggesting that these are pretty much all the same phones but destined for different markets and/or carriers. If this truly is the case, it looks like Samsung is wasting no time in getting the handset ready for launch in multiple markets, possibly at the same time. The Galaxy S5 is probably one of the most highly anticipated handsets of 2014, at least for the early part of the year since the iPhone 6 and Galaxy Note 4 announcements usually take place in the second half of the year. Will Samsung be able to outdo themselves this year? We guess we will just have to wait and find out, so be sure to check back with us at a later date to see if there are more details to be had!

Chinese Company Already Planning A Samsung Galaxy S5 Knock-Off

no-1-s7-heroThere are a couple of concept renderings out there of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S5, and for the most part the renderings have been created by fans and those who are imagining what the Galaxy S5 could look like, or how they think it should look like. However one particular manufacturer from China called No. 1 have told the folks at GizChina that they will be creating a Samsung Galaxy S5 clone based on these concept renderings which they believe could be the real deal. We’re not sure why they are convinced that the renderings they’ve seen are the real deal, although admittedly they do look pretty nice and even if they aren’t the real deal, it would make a nice phone.

According to No. 1, the phone will be known as the No. 1 S7 and will an octa-core Mediatek MT6592 chipset. it will also pack a 16MP rear-facing camera with optical image stabilization, but apart from that we’re not sure what other specs the clone handset will come packed with. Now if you were wondering if the handset will make its way outside of China, you’d probably be out of luck as these handsets are typically limited to the Chinese market, so if you really wanted one you’d probably have to find a way to get it imported. In the meantime what do you guys think of a handset designed like the one above? Yay or nay?

Samsung Galaxy S5 Rumored For Pre-MWC Announcement

Samsung Galaxy S5 Rumored For Pre MWC AnnouncementThe Samsung Galaxy S5 is probably the most anticipated Android smartphone of 2014, and probably one of the more anticipated smartphones for the year, Apple’s iPhone included, which is why we can’t say we’re too surprised that there are plenty of leaks and rumors regarding the handset at the moment. So when can we expect the Samsung Galaxy S5 to be announced? Well according to a tweet by Eldar Murtazin, the famed leaker who has in the past been relatively spot on with his information, it seems that come 23rd of February we will be hearing about the handset from Samsung at a pre-MWC event.

According to Murtazin, “Samsung Galaxy S5 launch – 18.00. Barcelona. 23 February. Price the same. Launch – end of April. Specs – u know them Samsung Galaxy S5 Rumored For Pre MWC Announcement new touchwiz Samsung Galaxy S5 Rumored For Pre MWC AnnouncementWe guess in a way the rumors are true that the phone will not be announced at MWC since a pre-MWC announcement will not count. However this information also seems to contradict earlier rumors which pegged the handset’s release for mid-March in London. Either way there seems to be a fair amount of rumors and most of them seems to be contradicting one another, so take it with a grain of salt for now, but with the 23rd of February coming sooner than mid-March, we guess we’ll keep an eye on that date to see what Samsung might have to announce then.
