Samsung GamePad To Be Bundled With Galaxy Tab 3 8.0

Samsung GamePad To Be Bundled With Galaxy Tab 3 8.0A few days ago, Samsung announced their new GamePad for mobile devices. We had originally seen the device earlier this year as a prototype, and thankfully the final product resembled nothing like what we saw initially. In any case perhaps in a bid to make the GamePad more attractive to consumers, Samsung will be launching the GamePad as part of a “Game Edition” bundle that will feature the GamePad and the Galaxy Tab 3 8.0, although they did not mention when this Game Edition bundle will be released. However since the GamePad is said to support devices ranging from 4” to 6.3”, we can only assume that you would not be able to dock the Galaxy Tab 3 8.0, and would have to connect it via Bluetooth or NFC.

The Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 is not the most powerful tablet from Samsung, but with its price tag of around $250, it is relatively affordable. It will pack an 8” 1280×800 display and will be powered by a dual-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz. It will sport 1GB of RAM and come with both front and rear-facing cameras, although it is unclear if it will come with the latest build of Android. Unfortunately this Game Edition bundle’s pricing or availability remains unknown, but with the GamePad itself priced at a little over $100, we can only assume that this bundle will not come cheap. Either way hopefully more details will be shared in the near future, so check back with us later for the details.

Leaked images reveal two-tone Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0

While we’ve seen the Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 officially draped in white and leaked in a golden brown variation, Samsung may have also given it the two-tone treatment. Techtastic recently got some photos from Mr. Blurrycam showing the tablet with a black face that’s complimented by a white bezel and home button. Spec-wise it’s reported to sport the same 1.5GHz dual-core processor and 1,200 x 800 pixel touchscreen we’ve handled before, but there’s no denying its penguin tuxedo looks are in a class of their own. We have our doubts as to whether this color combination will actually hit retail (is it merely a developmental prototype?), but don’t let that stop you from grabbing a better look at the source link.

This bit of information has started to make its rounds on the Internet, as the Bluetooth SIG has recently approved a new Samsung tablet with the above mentioned model number, SM-T311. According to a previous report that SamMobile put forward, the SM-T311 is actually the Wi-Fi enabled model of the yet to be announced Galaxy Tab 3 8.0, with the 3G version being widely known as the SM-T310.

In fact, it was just a matter of days ago when the Wall Street Journal dropped hints that the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 would actually be officially announced later this June, which would make it roll out a month the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active and the Samsung Galaxy S4 mini smartphones arrive. Since the Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 has appeared at the Bluetooth SIG, it would seem that a June announcement would be highly probable.
