Iron Man 3 game trailer shows off in-app purchases

The release date for the official Iron Man 3 game is quickly approaching. The game will launch next week on April 25, but in the meantime, Gameloft has been teasing us with various teaser trailers of the game, and today they released another one that shows off some of the various Iron Man suits you can strap on, as well as other in-app purchases.

We’ve already seen a gameplay trailer for Iron Man 3 last month, and this new one doesn’t seem to be all that different. However, we’re teased with a short glimpse of what to expect with in-app purchases, as well as very brief looks into some new gameplay that we didn’t see with last month’s trailer.

As for the different suits, you can get them in different colors, and some of the more high-end ones even come with machine guns attached, which is pretty nifty. You can also spend money to upgrade your armor and weapon power, as well as your “HP,” which calculates how much damage you put on your enemies with your various weapons and moves.

The trailer tells us that we’ll have access to 18 different Iron Man suits, so it seems like there will be some lasting appeal to this game — enough to possibly hold us until Iron Man 4 comes out (there’s gotta be another one, right?). The game will play a lot like Temple Run, except you’ll be flying with guns blazing. The game is set for both iOS and Android on April 25, so mark your calendars.

Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour now available for Windows Phone 8

Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour was first released back in December for iOS and Android, but Windows Phone 8 ended up getting the shaft. However, Gameloft has announced that the game is now available on Windows Phone 8, allowing users of Microsoft’s new platform to play one of the most intense mobile first-person shooter games out there.

Moderncombat4

The game will take up around 1GB, so be sure to free up some storage space if need be. It’s worthy to note that the game won’t play on all Windows Phone 8 devices. Gameloft doesn’t provide a list of approved devices, but Microsoft says on their Windows blog that it can only play on “high-memory Windows Phone 8 models.”

As for gameplay elements, it looks like Modern Combat 4 is merely just a port from the iOS and Android versions, so don’t expect anything exclusive to come your way if you plan on playing the game on your Windows Phone 8 device. The game will cost you $6.99, which is the same price as the iOS and Android version.

Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour comes with pretty much everything you would ever want in a first-person shooter, including multiplayer, complete with leaderboards, and over 20,000 weapon arrangements. It’s certainly nothing special when you consider a console game, but this is a mobile game we’re talking about, which is insanely impressive. Give the game a try today and let us know what you think.

Gameloft Announces Official Iron Man 3 Game For iOS And Android

If you are a fan of the Iron Man series of movies, chances are you probably can’t wait to catch Iron Man 3 upon its release. For those who consider themselves more hardcore fans, the folks at Gameloft have announced the Iron Man 3 game will be making its way onto iOS and Android devices on the 25th of April. From what we can see in the trailer video, it does not look too bad and could even be pretty fun, although I still have a bit of skepticism and see this more as a promotional tool rather than an actual proper game. Then again I could be wrong but in any case, for those interested, the 25th of April is a date you’ll want to mark on your calendars, and in the meantime feel free to check out the trailer in the video above to get an idea of what you might be able to expect.

What you’ll be doing here is blasting your way through a massive amount of metal mayhem with your newest-generation Iron Man suit, nearly all-gold and everything. Tony Stark won’t be stopping around for too much self-reflection in this presentation of the storyline, so don’t expect too much to be revealed about the inner workings of the movie – but there will be some hints and spoiler-like bits and pieces.

As it has been with past Gameloft releases, here we’re going to see a top-notch delivery of a film series translation – this set of developers doesn’t mess around. And by the looks of the gameplay trailer above, they’ve come back with no less than the healthiest dose of metal fist face-bashing action they’ve ever delivered.

Below you’ll see a bit more information about the Iron Man film series including trailers for Iron Man 3. Join us in the first week of May where we’ll be checking out the Iron Man 3 film ourselves – get pumped up to learn more if you don’t end up seeing it yourself on opening night! Asphalt 7: Heat races its way to Windows Phone

Windows Phone devices may not have caught up to the popularity of iOS and Android just yet, but developers aren’t ignoring the platform by any means. Case in point: Gameloft just released its newest racing game, Asphalt 7: Heat, into the Windows Phone Store, where Windows Phone 8 users can play the game on their Microsoft-driven device.

Asphalt7-Heat

Gameloft says that Asphalt 7: Heat is the first of 12 games that the developer will be bringing over to the Windows Phone platform, and it’s the “first real-time multiplayer experience optimized to take advantage of the Xbox ecosystem and services.” Windows Phone gamers will be able to grab the game for just $0.99.

With the game’s multiplayer, gamers can take on up to five Xbox friends and even attempt to get their names on the Xbox Leaderboards, and make their way through unique Xbox Achievements. Currently, Asphalt 7: Heat is available for the Nokia Lumia 920, 820, 928, 822, HTC 8C, and Samsung Ativ Odisey. In the coming weeks, the game will be made available for the Nokia Lumia 620, 720, 520, HTC 8S and Huawei Ascend W1.

Gameloft also took the time today to detail the games that they will be bringing to Windows Phone in the near future, Asphalt 7: Heat already being one of them. The other 11 consisting of The Amazing Spider-Man, NOVA 3, The Dark Knight Rises, Order & Chaos Online, Kingdoms and Lords, UNO & Friends, Ice Age Village, Real Football 2013, Six Guns, Shark Dash, and Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour.

BlackBerry 10 gets major gaming boost from Gameloft library

This week with the introduction to the world of BlackBerry 10 comes a collection of apps that’ll be setting the BlackBerry world on fire, Gameloft style. With a set of 11 games that are here being optimized for BlackBerry 10 gameplay, the developer team at Gameloft gives the BlackBerry 10 OS a fighting chance at not just looking like a system worth using, but acting like it too. This list begins with UNO – the card game everyone really should know how to play.

gaminglovffaawe

The list of games created by Gameloft and here optimized and ready for play on BlackBerry 10 devices goes on with N.O.V.A. 3; Near Orbit Vanguard Alliance, the shooter you simply must play one way or another – it’s also out for iOS and Android. Most of these games have already been released for iOS, Android, or both systems at once and have proven themselves to be winners above and beyond one platform – so it’s time to keep the force strong with BlackBerry 10!

You’ll also find Shark Dash, Oregon Trail American Settler, Ice Age Village, and Real Soccer 2013 for you sports enthusiasts. Top-tier names like The Amazing Spider-Man and The Dark Knight Rises are also included on this ultimate list, bringing double-down brand power to the platform. You’ll find Let’s Golf! 3 on the list as well as Six Guns – that’s another shooter-type game in which you’re chilling in the old west with a variety of weapons and high-action battling abilities at your disposal.

Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour is one of the higher-end shooter games you’ll find on any platform, Gameloft bringing it to BlackBerry 10 right here at the dawn of its creation. Shark Dash, N.O.V.A. 3: Near Orbit Vanguard Alliance, and UNO will be available first and immediately if not soon, while the rest of the list will be unleashed in the coming weeks. Also last but not least, and also coming out with the launch of BlackBerry 10 right at the beginning is none other than Asphalt 7: Heat – the most beastly racing game in modern times – for mobile, that is.

Gameloft Optimizes Popular Titles For BlackBerry 10 Platform

gameloft hd Gameloft Optimizes Popular Titles For BlackBerry 10 PlatformDo you think that the recently introduced BlackBerry 10 operating system is set to be a success? The quick answer from me would be yes, although the size of its success is surely far more difficult to predict. However, Windows Phone 8 might want to look over their shoulders, and it is encouraging to see and hear that developers too, want in on the BlackBerry 10 pie, and leading global publisher of games, Gameloft, has announced that they intend to bring over some of their most popular titles for the new BlackBerry 10 platform.

The list of titles that will be optimized include Shark Dash, N.O.V.A. 3: Near Orbit Vanguard Alliance, Asphalt 7: Heat, and UNO, as Gameloft believes that these will benefit from the features which are found in the BlackBerry 10 operating system, where among them include multiplayer capabilities which will enable users to have a completely immersive gaming experience.

The games mentioned will be available somewhere right after BlackBerry App World is launched, while other titles such as Oregon Trail American Settler, Ice Age Village, Real Soccer 2013, The Amazing Spider-Man, Six Guns, Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour, The Dark Knight Rises and Let’s Golf! 3 will be thrown into the mix a few weeks after that.

SlashGear Evening Wrap-Up: January 29, 2013

Welcome to Tuesday evening everyone. Today a purported case for the iPad 5 surfaced, and it has more than a little in common with the rear case for the iPad mini. We saw a leaked image of a white Nexus 4, while we also heard that Google is planning a Nexus 4 and 7 refresh for the spring that includes white devices. Speaking of the Nexus 4, the sought after device became available on the Google Play Store once again today, after weeks of being sold out.

Amazon delivered its Q4 2012 results today, posting a net loss of $39 million for the year. Just the same, Gameloft’s Q4 2012 saw record sales, so the company is looking pretty good going into 2013. The EFF clarified the new laws against jailbreaking today, and this week retailers gained the ability to charge you for credit card purchases. XMBC 12 is now available with support for Android and Raspberry Pi, while Google is donating 15,000 of the inexpensive computers to UK students.

The HTC HD2 has been hacked to run Windows RT, while Electronic Arts announced that SimCity will be coming to Mac this spring. We learned of some rather strange-sounding fixes to the iPhone 5′s “greyed Wi-Fi” issue, and Samsung has announced that it will buy medical imaging company NeuroLogica. After a bit of a situation involving adult videos on Vine, Twitter has remedied the problem, while YouTube is said to be considering paid content in 2013.

500px is now back on the App Store after a porn problem of its own, and the ban on unlocking phones has resulted in a petition on the official White House website. New interest from the US Department of Justice will probably result in delays for the Sprint/Softbank deal, so don’t expect to close very fast. Acer is hinting at some new budget tablets to take on the likes of Google and Amazon, while we also heard that the iPad 5 will be smaller than previous iterations. NVIDIA has released a new beta driver in time for the Crysis 3 multiplayer beta, Pinterest is readying a new site design, and Hawken showed us some fancy PhysX graphics in a new trailer. Finally tonight, we have a review of the Dell XPS One 27 for you to check out, along with a first drive of the KIA Sorento and Forte. That does it for tonight’s Evening Wrap-Up, we hope you enjoy the rest of the night folks!

Gameloft Q4 2012 sales reach record high

This week the team at Gameloft has released their Q4 earnings report for the end of 2012, showing here that they’ve come up with their most successful quarter ever! This report shows that Gameloft has recorded a 23% boost in sales compared to the same quarter last year as well as earnings throughout 2012 that are 27% higher than they were throughout 2011. Looks like everything is turning up Gameloft!

gameloft_cash

Gameloft is noting that the successful launch of a brand new pack of games over the past few weeks and months have contributed greatly to the overall excellence of the quarter leading into 2013. Games like Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour, PLAYMOBIL Pirates (currently featured in Google Play as a game you’ve gotta check out), World at Arms, and even My Little Pony are being touted as leaders of the new school. Legacy lines of games continuing with Ice Age Village, The Amazing Spider-Man, Order & Chaos Online, and Asphalt 7: Heat are also keeping the company strong in the mobile realm.

Earnings this quarter are the highest they’ve been in any one quarter in the whole history of Gameloft as a brand. They also mark the sixth consecutive quarter in which Gameloft has topped earnings from the quarter before – that’s extremely rare in a company in this market as quarters generally go up or down based on how close they are to the holiday seasons. The 12-month total earnings have hit 208.3 million Euro while 2011′s total was up to 164.4 – Gameloft on the rise, that’s what that is.

Just comparing the Q4 sales year-on-year on smartphones and tablets, growth went up 66%. These sales represented 56% of the total Group sales in the end while one year ago they represented 41% – the times they are a changing!

Above you’ll see the Samsung Galaxy Note II running Asphalt 7: Heat – notice how fabulous the game is and keep in mind that we use this game as a go-to app showing the graphics and processing abilities of high-powered Android devices basically every time we need to do such a thing. It’s also a go-to game for comparing iOS and Android devices as Gameloft is right on top of keeping the app up to date and hot for both platforms. This bodes well for their company and business as a whole as their games are both high functioning and constantly updated to stay ahead of the curve.

Gameloft cuts many game prices to 99 cents, wants screen time on your gift phone

Gameloft cuts many game prices to 99 cents, wants screen time on your gift phone

More than a few of us are getting phones and tablets as gifts this year, and Gameloft wants to be there the moment we’re hunting for new apps to feed our devices. Accordingly, the developer has slashed the price on many of its recent games to 99 cents during the holidays, even including better-known titles like Asphalt 7 and Dark Knight Rises. Not surprisingly, the discounting doesn’t include Modern Combat 4 and a few other releases — there have to be profit-makers left somewhere, after all — but it’s a huge break for those who want a few starter titles and aren’t concerned about always having the latest and greatest. Both Android and iOS gamers can splurge at the source links.
