GameStop Managers To Receive A Free PS4, Seven Games On Nov. 15

GameStop’s annual GameStop Expo is currently underway in Las Vegas, which means thousands of you who are attending have probably gotten your dirty little mitts all over the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One enough to make an educated decision as to which console you’ll be purchasing later this year. Fortunately for GameStop managers, they won’t have to worry about making that tough decision as they’ll be getting a free PlayStation 4 and seven games at launch. (more…)

250GB Blue Sony PS3 Is A GameStop Exclusive This October 8th

250GB Blue Sony PS3 Is A GameStop Exclusive This October 8thAll right, so we do know that the Sony PS4 is on its way to being a gaming console blockbuster, with reports trickling in that the number of pre-orders for the Sony PS4 is a whole lot greater than the PS2 and PS3, but does this mean that the Sony PS3 has no more life left in its legs? Apparently not, as there is always the lucrative “developing markets” segment for any company worth their salt to look into, and here we are with word that a 250GB PS3 will be available as a GameStop exclusive. Now, what makes this particular 250GB PS3 so special compared to the rest?

It happens to be a Japan-only model in the past, arriving in “azurite blue”, where it will be accompanied by a 250GB hard drive, a matching DualShock 3 controller as well as an accompanying $249.99 price tag, which does make you wonder whether anyone would want to pick up the $200 12GB PS3 bundle from now on. Pre-orders for this game console that is a favorite of the Smurfs will open from tomorrow onwards, and these are set to arrive at the GameStop brick and mortar stores from October 8th onwards. Just which particular color of the PS3 is your favorite?

Sony reveals blue 250GB PS3 for $250, exclusive to GameStop

DNP Sony announces GameStopexclusive blue 250GB PS3 for $250, preorders open tomorrow

Sony is hoping that by now you either don’t already own a PlayStation 3, or direly need a game console to match your primary colored living room decor before November 15th. To that end, the tech giant is releasing the previously Japan-only “azurite blue” PS3 Superslim exclusively to GameStop. The console sports a 250GB hard drive, one matching DualShock 3 controller and a $249.99 price tag — kinda makes that $200 12GB model look a bit silly now, doesn’t it? Pre-orders open up tomorrow and you’ll be able to pick one up from your favorite GameStop or Canadian EB Games starting October 8th.

GameStop promo upgrades key Xbox 360 games to Xbox One equivalents for $10

    Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag

Let’s say that you decline an Xbox One pre-order, buy the Xbox 360 version of a big game this fall and promptly regret that you haven’t gone next-gen. Are you hosed? Not necessarily: GameStop is launching a promo that will let you upgrade to an Xbox One edition of a game for $10 or less. Provided you’re a PowerUp Rewards member, GameStop will offer at least $50 in credit if you trade in an Xbox 360 copy of Assassin’s Creed 4, Battlefield 4, Call of Duty: Ghosts, FIFA 14 or Madden 25 and buy its Xbox One equivalent at $60. There are additional catches, of course. You’ll have to buy a given Xbox 360 title within 30 days of its launch, and you’ll have to use the credit before the end of the year. Even so, the promo could minimize buyer’s remorse — and save some Xbox One buyers from waiting until November to play the titles they want.

GameStop Offering $50 Credit For Trading Up To Xbox One Games

If you’re on the fence whether or not you plan on buying an Xbox One or PlayStation 4, this fall could be an extremely confusing time for you as you probably don’t know if you should purchase a current-generation version of your game or if you should wait until the dust clears and purchase a next-generation version. With a new promotion GameStop is offering, now that decision won’t be as difficult as it sounds, at least for potential Xbox One customers. (more…)

Sony PlayStation 4 Pre-Orders Back Again At GameStop

Sony PlayStation 4 Pre Orders Back Again At GameStopEarlier this month you might recall that GameStop had stopped their pre-orders of the Sony PlayStation 4 console, presumably because they ran out of their allocated stock and did not want to process orders they knew they might not be able to fulfill in a timely manner. Well the good news is that if you still wanted to get your hands on a launch day PS4 console, it looks like GameStop has managed to secure more units as they have reopened their pre-orders for the console, although given how popular the console is, you might want to hurry as stock could diminish pretty fast.

As it stands GameStop is currently only selling PS4 bundles, as opposed to just the console alone, meaning that unless you don’t mind waiting for a few days or weeks, you will have to spend a bit more than you had initially planned. The retailer is offering bundles which includes games such as Killzone: Shadow Fall, Call of Duty: Ghosts, Battlefield 4, or Madden NFL 25 for $459.98, while other bundles that include Knack and Drive Club and additional DualShock 4 controllers will be priced at $519.97.

GameStop Expo puts the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in your hands this August

GameStop Expo puts the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in your hands this August

Whether or not you pay for GameStop’s annual membership plan, the planet’s largest video game retailer is opening the doors of the Las Vegas Sands Expo and Convention Center to the public for its annual GameStop Expo this August, which this year features hands-on opportunities with both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. For a $35 general admission ticket, you’ll get access to both consoles on August 28th — long before their respective holiday launches — as well as a chance to play a variety of upcoming games. Should you shell out a stone cold $90, you’ll snag a copy of Madden NFL 25 for Xbox 360, gain early entry to the show (one hour) and “access to panel discussions with some of the biggest names in the industry.” Per usual, attendees must be older than 17, and the event’s a one-day affair. But then you’ll be in Vegas, so… maybe stay for a few days.
