Sennheiser unveils G4ME ZERO and G4ME ONE gaming headsets

game-zeroGamers can get to be extremely particular about the kind of hardware in which they use to dispatch of their opponents, and many of them are loyal to a particular brand for most of their gaming lives when it comes to select peripherals, which is not an unusual pattern. After all, the same applies when it comes to fashion and perhaps, even the cars that are parked in your home’s garage, no? Sure, the mouse and the keyboard are two important elements in any particular gamer’s arsenal, but they would certainly be incomplete if you do not have the different pieces of the puzzle together, such as a decent gaming rig and of course, the all important headset. Games these days, after all, are not solo titles that allow you to play without having to communicate with one another. No sir, playing on a team is the way to go, where you bark and receive commands from your team mates, and solid and clear communication is the way to go. Sennheiser, a trusted name in audio, has unveiled the G4ME ZERO and G4ME ONE gaming headsets.

Being announced as part of a unique alliance with one of the world’s leading game developers, Io-Interactive, both Sennheiser gaming headsets are touted to deliver an authentic sound experience which has been specially optimized for all of your gaming needs. The G4ME ZERO and G4ME ONE gaming headsets are touted to usher in a new era in professional gaming headset design, boasting an increased emphasis on ergonomics as well as supreme comfort, never mind if you are going to game for an extremely long period. Apart from that, the inclusion of noise cancellation technologies in the microphones themselves pave the way for clear communication whether you are involved in online or multi player gaming.

[CES 2013] Gaming after-hours is an absolute must if you’re an adult with a 9-5 job, a wife and maybe children as the only downtime you probably have is when everyone is asleep. The last thing you want to do is wake everyone up from their slumber with, what you consider to be, your sweet sounds of gaming bliss. Turtle Beach is one of the leaders in the gaming-headset market, and at this year’s CES, they announced a number of cross-platform headsets that you’re going to want to start saving now for.

The first sets of gaming headsets they’re announcing are the next generation of their wireless headset line. The Ear Force XP510 for Xbox 360 and Ear Force XP51 for PS3 include Turtle Beach’s proprietary digital signal processor, Dolby Digital surround sound, Dual Band Wi-Fi, a rechargeable lithium polymer battery and are Bluetooth compatible. With a full charge, both headsets have a 15 hour lifespan, which is a nice amount of time just to get into Skyrim. Giving you the option to Edit your own Aviator headphones isn’t the only news the fashionable folks at Skullcandy had up their sleeve for the end of 2012; with a bit of help from Astro Gaming (a recently acquired asset), it’s also taking another stab at gaming headsets. The company’s touting three new models: SLYR, PLYR 1 and PLYR 2, all of which were quietly detailed on its site within the last week. While Astro caters its full-on gaming audio systems (A30, A40 and A50) above the $200 mark, these Skullcandy-branded headsets essentially bring the ethos of those models to more wallet-friendly prices point of $80 to $180 — not to mention in closer competition with the likes of Turtle Beach and Tritton. Most notably, Astro was quick to highlight to us that Skullcandy’s new batch of gaming-focused earblasters have been created from the ground-up, unlike its models passed which were just tweaks to its existing — and less than well-received — headsets. Curious for the initial details on these latest gaming audio aids? Lucky for you, we’ve got it all listed just past the break.
