Legend of Zelda Pizza: A Link to the Pepperoni

It’s dangerous to go alone. Take this. Just make sure that you cut it into Tri-Force shapes. This Legend of Zelda inspired pizza was made by denacem to celebrate the 28th anniversary of the release of Legend of Zelda.

This is the tastiest Legend of Zelda treat you will see all day. You will want to eat it, but you can’t. It’s just an image. It’s also raw, so you’ll get sick.

zelda pizza 2 620x524magnify

There, that’s better. Though Link’s hammy face seems to have disappeared into the tomato sauce after baking.

You can’t beat a Link made from green peppers on a pizza. Though he looks kind of mean. It needs another sword just so it can have more bacon. Now I’m hungry again. I really have to stop writing about food. Is it lunch time yet?

NES Pro Wrestling Prints: A Portrait is You!

Retro video game artist James Bit is now selling a series of prints featuring the characters of Pro Wrestling, the classic NES game and source of the infamous “A Winner is You!” meme.

James probably lost to Great Puma a lot when he was a kid, because King’s grandfather is missing from James’ roster. Fighter Hayabusa, Star Man, Kin Corn Karn, Giant Panther, The Amazon and King Slender are all here.

It might not be a good idea to wear it when you’re on a diet though, for obvious reasons.

Uncle Makes His Nephew a Custom Ghostbusters Ecto-1 Cozy Coupe

Redditor tabres gets my vote for coolest uncle on the planet. Now it’s up to you other uncles to outdo him. This guy built his nephew a custom Ghostbusters Ecto-1 Cozy Coupe. It has flashing lights and a license plate and is everything a young Ghostbuster could want.

This kid is going to have some amazing adventures riding in this thing. Maybe this guy can build the kid a miniature Ghostbusters HQ next and get some neighbor kids to make up a new Ghostbusting team.

If you too want to be a good Uncle, you can make one of these yourself thanks to this full tutorial over at Imgur.

Scientific Cutting Boards for Kitchen Geeks

I’m just a simple guy. I can’t decipher scientific jargon. I can’t recite more than like four digits of Pi, etc. And I’m okay with that. But if you do know an egghead or are one yourself, check out these neat brainy cutting boards for science types.

cutting board 620x472magnify

These lovely works of art on wood come from Gerald and Summer at Elysium Woodworks, a woodworking studio in Santa Rosa, California. They make custom cutting boards that have scientific themes, and they’re quite reasonably priced – $35 for an 8″ x 12″ board, and $45 for a 10″ x 15″.

Minds brighter than mine will certainly appreciate the math, astronomy and chemistry designs on these while they are cooking up dinner.

I do agree that Pluto is a planet.

Super Mario Bros. Nesting Dolls: Marioshka

These Super Mario Bros. nesting dolls looks fantastic. Individually, each is a quality work of art. They are a tad dark in theme though. I mean, Bowser seems to have ripped the Princess’ arm off. Heck, Mario is holding a bloody wrench.
mario nesting dolls 620x450magnify

Bowser is the biggest one. Open him up and its’a me Mario. Then comes Luigi and finally Goomba. These are the work of William Butler who certainly knows his way around the Mushroom Kingdom – and a paintbrush.

mario nesting dolls1 620x620magnify

That Goomba looks super mean and Luigi is ready to take him down with a fireball – or just stomp on him. William’s vision of the game is definitely awesome, though I doubt Nintendo will ever release such a gory version.

I would so buy these if they were for sale.

DIY Wampa Taxidermy Head Made from Paper and Lots of Awesome

I’ve always thought it was creepy to hang the heads of dead animals on your wall. They always look like they are watching you as you move around the room. If you are a big fan of The Empire Strikes Back, you might not mind hanging this animal head on your wall.

What we have here is a DIY Wampa head made out of cardboard boxes, newspaper, tape, glue, faux fur, and a few other household items. It looks a lot like paper mache, but it’s not. It was made by the fine folks at OurNerdHome, and its builders say they spent only about $20 on the project.

While there aren’t step-by-step instructions, the images do give you an idea of what you need to do to make your own. I wonder what kind of fur was used. It looks sort of like the fur on that Wampa rug we talked about a while back.

This is certainly one of the coolest DIY Star Wars projects I have seen.

LEGO Xenogears Concept: Weltall Order

As I’ve mentioned before, Xenogears is one of my favorite games. So I was so excited when I heard that someone had proposed LEGO versions of the PlayStation classic’s mecha. Sadly, Diego Cabrera submitted his proposal on LEGO Cuusoo back in 2012 and it still doesn’t have the minimum 10,000 votes.

I don’t know if Diego edited his proposal since he first created it, but as of this writing all you can see on Cuusoo is the image of Xenogears, the final form of Fei’s Weltall. But Video Game Stuffs was able to save Diego’s LEGO models of the other Gears. I’m not sure if these are all he made – the other heroes’ Gears are missing, such as the awesomely bulky Siebzehn – but right now these images are all we have.

I don’t know if Cuusoo places an expiration date on proposals, although I was still able to place my vote for Diego’s proposal. I do know that Xenogears is no Back to the Future, Ghostbusters or Minecraft. But if you’re a fellow fan of the game it wouldn’t hurt to show your support for this awesome concept. I hope Diego updates or resubmits his proposal now that it’s getting a new wave of attention.

LEGO Foods are Delectably Inedible

You can create all sorts of awesome sculptures and structures with LEGO. From models of cars and buildings to carnivals and landmarks, the sky’s the limit, as long as you have the right bricks and enough creativity.

LEGO Foodmagnify

LEGO builder Sachiko Akinaga did something different and built a gallery of LEGO food that look absolutely scrumptious. Who knew dishes made from LEGO could look so yummy?

LEGO Food2

It’s hard to believe that Sachiko only used bricks available in various LEGO sets to come up with LEGO versions of bananas, pancakes (complete with syrup and butter), sushi, and even a Big Mac with a side of fries!

LEGO Ghostbusters Set Official Pics: YEAH! YEAH! YEAH! YEAH!

If you want some, freaky LEGOs baby, you betta’ call… Ghostbusters! Back in January, we learned that LEGO would be making an official Ghostbusters LEGO set. The images that were floating around were a fan made set that was put on the Cuusoo site and won enough votes to be turned into an official kit.

lego ghostbusters 1 620x395magnify

The first official pics of that official Ghostbusters LEGO set are now officially official. The pics show off just how awesome the minifigs and the ECTO-1 car look. While the car doesn’t light up like the fan model, the official kit still looks really cool.

lego ghostbusters 2 620x370magnify

The minifigs come complete with a ghost trap and unlicensed nuclear accelerators, otherwise known as proton packs. The official LEGO kit car has a removable roof, which is the only way you can get Peter Venkman, Ray Stantz, Egon Spengler and Winston Zeddemore into the car to fight those ghosts.

The 508-piece set will ship this June for $49.99(USD).
