The Walking Dead Infects Disney Princesses

Warning: Before scrolling down, we recommend that you move to a place where there are no kids (both young and old) nearby, because the consequences and ramifications might be serious.

If you grew up reading fairy tales and watching Disney’s cartoons, then you know that they’ll usually end in happily ever after. But what if they somehow got bitten by one of the undead from The Walking Dead?

Disney ZombiesI don’t think the zombies would spare the princesses if Disney ever got hit by a zombie apocalypse. And to show everyone what would become of Ariel, Snow White, and Cinderella, artist extraordinaire Witit Karpkraikaew drew up these eerie images of the undead princesses.

As you can see above, the skin is just melting from Ariel’s frame. And here’s Snow White, looking not-so-white or pure with brains instead of an apple.

Disney Zombies2

Cinderella is the darkest of the three, as she wields an ax and is chewing on her otherwise missing glass slipper for a quick snack.

Disney Zombies1

Witit’s DeviantArt page has been hit with comments and requests for more zombie princesses. I personally would love to see a zombie Belle, from Beauty and the Beast.

Super Mario Spiral Clock: Down the 16-Bit Hole

Every time is Super Mario time with this spiral clock featuring characters and icons from Nintendo’s timeless platformer. You might find it hard to tell the time on this clock because of its pseudo-asymmetrical look. That’s all I see when I look at this thing.

Warp-pipe to Etsy and pay $25 (USD) to get the clock. Seller BackStreet Crafts also sells other geeky clocks and spiral clocks.

Giant Cork Pushpin Works as a Table or a Chair, But Not as a Pushpin

In most offices, corkboards with announcements and notices tacked on using pushpins are uncommon. Perhaps this is where Kenyon Yeh got the inspiration for his Pushpin Cork table-slash-stool design.

PushpinThere are three cool things about Yeh’s design. First of all, it takes elements from both the corkboard and the pushpin and merged the entire thing to form his piece. Second, it’s multi-functional. Use it as a stool if you need one, or flip it over to its other end and use it as a side table. Lastly, the whole thing is made out of cork! That, in itself, is pretty amazing enough already.

Thankfully, there’s no giant pin sticking out of it where you sit.

Custom Doctor Who Cookie Cutters Perfect for Making Dalek-Shaped Jammy Dodgers

If you’ve ever looked for Doctor Who cookie cutters then you know they are hard to find. I’m not sure if any official cookie cutters even exist. So what do you do when you want to make some cookies to stuff in your TARDIS cookie jar? Make your own cookie cutters of course.

With these Doctor Who cookie cutters you could bake some amazing treats. These awesome custom made cookie cutters were made by Flickr user Nidaram. I especially love the K9 cutter. Nidaram made these for a friend’s Christmas present a couple of years back.

The set includes a Dalek, a TARDIS, a Slightly 3-D TARDIS, and K-9. It’s just hand-bent steel held together at the ends with two machine screws. I’d love to see what the cookies look like.

Mix Up Cosmic Cocktails with Gin, Tonic, and a Black Light

I love the occasional cocktail or two, but I’ve always had to keep it at a minimum. I’ve got my reasons, with the main one being the fact that I turn beet red once I consume even a drop (okay, several drops) of alcohol-laced fluids into my system.

But I doubt I’d be able to contain myself if I came across this cosmic concoction.

As some people claim, the above is a result of Photoshop and a bit of tweaking. But you really can mix up your own glowing cocktails, with the right recipe and  a black light.

Maybe you can even achieve something similar the otherworldly looking mix in the image if you mix it slowly and shine the black light while you do. This is called the Aurora Jungle-Juice cocktail, and once everything settles down, you’ll end up with something that looks like this:

Aurora Drink

It’s basically a mix of either gin or vodka, tonic water, and Rose’s Mojito Passion or Pink Lemonade concentrate. Then add in some ice, bring your black light, and voila! Awesomeness.

You can check out the recipe here.

Legend of Zelda Hyrule Historia Book: A Link to Link and Everything Zelda

Fans of the Legend of Zelda series have long wondered about the chronology and connection of the 16 main games. As part of its 25th anniversary celebration this year, its creators finally revealed the canonical answer to these questions and more in the book Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Historia. Originally available only in Japan and only in Japanese, an English translation of the book is now slated for release in North America as well.

Aside from explaining “the full history” of the franchise – including details on the bloodline of the Hylians and their decline – the 274-page Zelda bible also contains lots of never before seen concept art and sketches, as well as a Skyward Sword manga. Here’s a look at the Japanese version of the book, courtesy of YouTuber MyGamingBoulevard:

The Amazon listing for the book claims that co-creator Shigeru Miyamoto co-authored the book, but all I can say for sure is that he penned the book’s introduction. You can pre-order the book from TFAW for $28 (USD) or from Amazon for $21. It will be available on January 29, 2013.

Snowspeeder Sled for Year-Round Fun on Ice Planets

Snowspeeders are awesome. One of my favorite parts from The Empire Strikes Back is the Hoth battle, with those Snowspeeders zipping all over the place. If you want to make your own snowspeeder, this is how it is done. You just need some cardboard, duct tape and a can-do attitude.
Snowspeeder sled
After this Snowspeeder was finished by “Fortyozjuicebox”, it was attached to a sled base for some winter time fun. He actually made this for a Downhill Derby Cardboard and Duct Tape Contest. It may not take out an AT-AT walker, but she’s got it where it counts.

Judging by the video, it looks like a smooth ride as well. I guess it won’t be long until we see daily Snowspeeder races. I personally can’t wait.

TARDIS + DeLorean = CARDIS

Man, it would be so awesome if Timelord police drove around in these. This TARDIS Delorean, or CARDIS (or TarDeLorean) is the most awesome car I have ever laid eyes on. I don’t know if it is bigger on the inside, but I am confident the Doctor will have no problem picking up hot new companions in this beauty.
tardis delorean

By Doctor I mean the 11th. Wait, I mean Doc Brown. When it comes to DeLorean interiors, the whole bigger on the inside thing is really important too, given how cramped these things usually are.

This awesome piece of awesomeness is blowing my mind and I can’t believe that I never saw this before. If only it were real. Sadly it’s just some awesome artwork created by a guy named Pacta for a Worth1000 competition.

H.R. Giger Counter is Too Creepy to Use

Get it? It’s a Geiger Counter made to look like it was created by H.R. Giger. I don’t know about you, but Giger’s Aliens creations creep me out. Therefore I could never use this. I would be too afraid that it would eat me from the hand up. Just let the radiation kill me.

If on the other, you hand want to check for signs of radiation on some alien world, then this Giger Geiger counter is for you. The base radioactive sensor electronics were purchased from Adafruit industries and then modded into a xenomorph by Steve D of Mad Art Lab.

It looks pretty amazing, and quite scary. And yes it does actually work as proven in the video. Now you can be safe from radiation and freak people out at the same time.

TARDIS Ring is Realer Than the TARDIS

Are you one of the many Whovians who wished that you could get your hands – or finger – on the TARDIS ring concept? You wish has come true! Gino Arizmendi, the man who came up with the concept, is now taking orders for the ring.

Sadly BBC turned down Arizmendi’s request to license their storied sci-fi series, so this ring is now officially known as the Police Box Ring.
