Tetris Cushions Let You Play the Game on Your Couch

I remember playing a whole lot of Tetris back when the Nintendo Famicom (NES) was still the gaming console to have. It was even a game my parents loved playing, considering it’s a bit on the tame side and requires that players use their old noodle.

If you’re ready to embrace your past in gaming and show your love and appreciate for Tetris, then you’re in luck. Star Gallery has released a full line of Tetris cushions, and they haven’t left out a single shape, for the sake of completeness.

Tetris Cushion

You’ll find the entire family of Tetris shapes in the set: the block, the line, the partial T, the two S and L shapes in opposite directions. These hand-crafted pillows are sewn using super colorful materials, too, to add a lively touch to your sofa or room.

The complete set retails for $279.95(USD) on Etsy, and there’s only one available, so grab it before some other gamer beats you to it.

The iPhone MacPro Case: 3D-Print Yours for Free!

Well, it probably won’t be free for most of us who don’t have our own 3D printers, but still this is a great-looking case, perfect for all of the Apple fanboys who just love the Mac Pro. Heck, who wouldn’t want to have a Mac Pro they can stick in their pocket?

The iPhone 4/4S MacPro case takes the front of the Mac Pro and fits it onto the back of your iPhone. The design was created to maintain the integrity behind Apple’s design philosophy. I have to say as an iPhone case, this looks pretty awesome.

The designer Cinemo recommends 3D-printing this baby on Polished White Strong & Flexible (Nylon), but Polished Alumide would look cool as well. You can get yours directly through Shapeways if you don’t have a 3D printer for about $30(USD).

Gundam-Themed Hotel Rooms Meet Every Gundam Fans’ Needs

Hey, Gundam fan. Yes, you – I’m talking to you. It seems like you’re not alone in your desire to own and have everything that screams Gundam, because the folks over at Tokyo’s Pacific Le Daiba probably knew that there were more fans like you in the world.

Gundam HotelThree rooms at the said hotel have been renovated and filled with oodles of Gundam memorabilia. Not only that, but they’ve been completely redecorated to look as if you’ve stepped into some kind of Gundam gallery.

The rooms have a cockpit to reenact your favorite scenes from the anime, sheets and bedding to reflect its ‘real’ owners, and you’ll be greeted by awesome art from your favorite characters the moment you wake up.

Pacific Le Daiba shelled out about 10 million yen ($125,000) to turn their hotel rooms into these themed suites. Lucky for you, you’ll only have to pay about 27,000 yen or $338(USD) a night to stay in one these rooms.

LEGO Settlers of Catan: There’s Nothing Boring About This Board Game

If you are a board game fan, you will recognize what this is immediately, an amazing LEGO version of Settlers of Catan. If you don’t know what that is, you have been missing out on a fun board game.

This Settlers of Catan board made entirely out of LEGO parts and that makes it pretty awesome. It is completely functional and was being shown off by creator Ryan H. at this year’s Brickworld convention. It features interlocking tiles and the tiles actually look like the different resources that they are supposed to represent. You can still put the roads and settlements on the board too.

It might be hard to transport, but if you show up with this at your local game night, people are going to freak out. This must have taken him a lot of time to finish. Awesome work!

Laptop Mirror on the Wall, Who is the Fastest Typer of Them All?

Are you looking for something different in a mirror? Something that you can hang on your wall that captures all of your nerdiness and still allows you to see yourself? Just convert your old laptop into a mirror and slap it on your wall.
laptop mirror
That’s what Brian J. Noggle did. Now he can pretend that he’s video chatting with himself all day long, even though all the other guy does is mock him by mimicking everything he does.

Brian says, “I am the only person in the entire planet who owns a mirror that says PROPERTY OF ENVISION on the back.” Yep. I’m gonna assume that’s true. All he had to do was gut an old laptop computer and add a mirror to make this nerdiest of wall mirrors. You could always go with a model that has a webcam built in and go the digital route too.

Stormtrooper Adirondack Chair Perfect for Lounging on the Death Star’s Back Porch

This could be the greatest outdoor chair of all time. I want a set of four for my deck RIGHT NOW. I have my credit card in hand, and will pay top dollar for a set. If needed, I will borrow money from Jabba the Hutt to cover the cost.

This Stormtrooper helmet chair was created by Gotwood Workshops, and it is completely awesome. Not only is the helmet back perfect, but it’s even got the Empire logo carved into the arms of the chair too.

Unfortunately, the GotWood guys don’t plan on selling these because of copyright concerns, but you might want to swing by Gotwood’s Facebook page to compliment them on the design anyhow. And while you’re over there, you’ll find out that they appear to be working on a matching Darth Vader chair too.

Millenium Falcon Cake: She May Not Look Like Much but She Has Frosting Where It Counts

This Millenium Falcon wedding cake looks delicious, although you have to really feel for our buddy Han. He looks really scared there with his eyes popping out of his fondant head.
millenium Falcon cake
I’m not sure of all the construction details, but they did an amazing job. The detail is super nice, right down to the guns and radar dish. I’m not sure why Leia is blonde though. Probably because the bride is a blonde. And the heads of Boba Fett and some stormtroopers are a nice touch. And not a spot on it suggesting that a finger had poked at it to get a taste.

Well, I hope that this couple shares a happy life full of geek treats like this cake. Well, not so much that they end up looking like Jabba though. Great cake!

Facebook + Ice Cream = Facecream?

The iconic Facebook “f” logo is pretty much everywhere these days, and I bet as many people recognize it as the Nike Swoosh or the Apple logo. And while Facebook hasn’t gone too nuts slapping its logo onto merchandise at this point, that doesn’t mean that we can’t visualize what that might look like.

For example, designer Tomislav Zvonarić (designer of the equally offbeat Facebook bed) came up with these Facebook ice cream bars. Why? I say why not? Tom also recommends that Facebook replace the “Like” button with a “Lick” button to go along with the theme.

Sure, the “f” shape might be a bit impractical, and encourage drips on a hot day, but I still think I wouldn’t turn down a Facebook ice cream bar if somebody gave me one. Then again, I wouldn’t turn down any ice cream bar if you gave me one. Though the name “Facecream” sounds more like a beauty product for doing away with age spots and zits than something I’d want to eat. Or something even nastier – if your mind is in the gutter.

Death Star Carved out of a Ping Pong Ball

This miniature Death Star is the ultimate power of the table tennis universe. That’s right, this Death Star was actually created by carving a ping pong ball.
death star ball
It was created by a forum user named tatumaru5963. I’m not sure what went into to making it since Google Translate kinda sucks, but it does look pretty amazing. There are some images that show a few of the steps necessary to create this thing though and judging by those images, this must have taken quite a while.

This space station is about half the size of a pack of cigarettes. All I can say is that this guy has some serious knife skills to build this thing with such precision. It’s amazing what you can do when you put your mind to it.
