These Harry Potter Stilettos Look Enchanting

If you love something, wear it. There’s a reason why shirts, sweaters, skirts, caps, and even pants bearing some elements from a movie or TV show sells like hotcakes: its fans just can’t get enough of it.

These Harry Potter-inspired stilettos aren’t available in stores, because they were made specially for Redditor akasha446‘s wedding.

The bride wore the red Gryffindor pair (naturally!), while her bridesmaids rocked the heels featuring Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, and Slytherin house. The gems adorning the heels adds a bit of glam to each shoe.

The shoes were hand-painted by akasha446′s sister-in-law, samartypants, who also happens to be a Redditor. You can check out more pictures of the shoes in the gallery below.

Mistletoe Drone: Kiss! Or Else.

Nah, just kidding. This quadcopter is armed with only the famous holiday plant. Designer George Zisiadis and his friend Mustafa Khan flew the drone – it looks like Parrot’s AR.Drone, but I’m not 100% sure – above San Francisco, California’s Union Square to get passersby to smooch.

Watch the cooties spread:

I hear George is going to arm his drone with a bow and arrow for Valentine’s. I need to get my hearing checked.

The Pokémon Field Guide to Kanto is Stunning

This beautiful Pokémon book was made by artist Kari Fry. It’s titled Field Guide to Kanto, and it’s just so beautifully done, that I want to sit with it for hours and take it all in. It has a full color map of the land as well as illustrations of the first 151 Pokémon.

Not only that, but she’s also included a description of each Pokémon. They can all be found in the Kanto region.

This book comes in softcover or hardcover editions. The hardcover includes a foil-embossed cover and a dust jacket that doubles as a poster.

Pokémon fans will definitely want to get their hands on a copy, but now for the sad news. The book is temporarily sold out. It’s okay though, because but you can sign up for the waiting list to be notified when it’s back in stock in mid-January. I’m sure it will sell out again quickly after that.

Minecraft Paper Snowflakes Will Creep up Your Christmas

Minecraft fans will enjoy hanging these paper snowflakes on their Christmas tree this year. You have probably already downloaded and cut some other paper snowflakes. Now you can add some Creepers.

These snowflakes are from Instructables contributor Penolopy Bulnick. You can choose from snowflakes with weapons or one that looks like a bunch of Creepers. They looks great and blocky just like in the game. If your tree happens to be pixelated, these will look even better. At least until the Creepers explode.

You’ve spent hours upon hours playing the game, so you might as well deck the halls with Creepers this year. Have a very Minecraft Christmas and a Creeper New Year!

Gingerbread Optimus Prime: Sugar in Disguise

I can never decide which side I’m on. Autobots or Decepticons. This amazing gingerbread Optimus Prime has swayed me. It was made by a friend of a friend of Redditor downvotedagain.

We don’t know much about this amazing holiday treat. Not even if this girl is the one who made it. None of that matters. All that matters is that this is a thing. A really awesome thing I would like to admire and then eat. The detail is really nice and he looks like he could hold his own in an all out gingerbread robot fight. Oh yeah. I break me off a piece of that robot and serve it up with a nice cold glass of milk. It would probably take a month to eat this thing.

No icing though. That might be a deal breaker. Gotta have icing on your gingerbread robots.

R2-D2 Christmas Wreath: Astromech the Halls

Your Star Wars themed Christmas just got a new piece of decor. Check out Amy Radcliffe’s R2-D2 wreath. It’s the wreath those impressionable Stormtroopers have been looking for.

The colors match the droid and are nice and metallic. The red balls at the top are a nice touch too since they match R2′s red indicator light. And of course you have to have an R2-D2 figure at the bottom. Awesome job, Amy. But this will attract those pesky Jawas. Set out some cookies for them.

You could make one of these yourselves using Amy’s step-by-step instructions. After all, it’s not enough to watch the Star Wars Holiday Special. A true fan must live the holiday special.

Each Pair Tells a Story: Sebastian Errazuriz’s ’12 Shoes for 12 Lovers’

The relationship might be over. But the memories (or scars) from it will live on. If not in your heart, then in your mind.

I think that can be said in Sebastian Errazuriz’s case, as he drew inspiration from past relationships and ex-lovers for his new series called 12 Shoes for 12 Lovers.

As the title implies, each pair in the collection was inspired by an ex-girlfriend. Her personality, their relationship, and vivid memories are all brought to light and to life with each pair.

From the Rock (which is inspired by what seems to be Sebastian’s most painful relationship) to the Cry Baby, each pair of shoes tells a story. Sebastian is only too happy to fill in the blanks and clue you in on the woman behind the designs with the commentaries that accompany each pair.

Breaking Bad Chess Set: The King is In the Empire Business

Breaking Bad was one of the best TV dramas ever and it was sad when it ended. However, the journey doesn’t have to be over. You can continue to enjoy the show in chess form thanks to this awesome set from Known Unknown Design.

It has hand-drawn characters done in a cool comic book style. Naturally, Mr. White is King and Skyler is Queen – at least on one side of the board. On the other side, Heisenberg rules, and he’s makes Gustavo his bitch. Of course, you can make the show unfold anyway you like through the game.

The custom board is cleverly designed using the periodic table for its spaces. The game folds for easy carrying too, so you can take it with you to the meth lab. The entire set is available on Etsy for $85(USD).

This Full-size LEGO Car is Powered by Air

LEGO expert Raul Oaida and Steve Sammartino have built themselves the stuff of childhood dreams for many LEGO builders. I know I wanted to build a full-size car I could drive around the neighborhood more times than I can count. Their incredible black and yellow LEGO hot rod consists of over half a million bricks.

lego car 1 620x413magnify

This is very cool indeed and the project is known as the Super Awesome Micro Project. It’s unclear exactly how the LEGO-based motor of the car works, but it is said to run on compressed air. The engine has four radial units with 256 pistons. The car isn’t made completely from LEGO, there are some structural pieces, wheels, and tires. I would assume there is some sort of frame that isn’t LEGO.

The car can cruise at speeds of up to 18MPH. It might be able to go faster, but they won’t drive it any faster because of its fragile nature. The car was taken from a concept design to a finished product in 20 months. Incredibly, Oaida built it in Romania, and shipped it to Sammartino for final assembly in Melbourne, Australia.
